Here’s “What If” Question. What if AMC executives came to their senses and fired Scott Gimple along with Ian and Andrew? Suppose they then put Angela Kang in charge of the entire Walking Dead Universe, meaning TWD, Fear, the upcoming teen spinoff, the Rick movie trilogy, etc., etc.
Under such a scenario, Kang could theoretically run both The Walking Dead and Fear. Another option would be for her to put a competent show runner on that series while keeping her primary focus on TWD.
My question is do you think this would “fix” what ails Fear or is that show broken beyond repair?
The original series is the best it’s been in a while under her leadership and the advance buzz on the first few episodes of Season 10 is that the quality level remains high. It's worth noting, however, that TWD at its worst has never been anywhere near as bad as Season 5 of Fear. Do you think she could work that same magic on Fear or is it a lost cause? Would the viewers who’ve abandoned ship even want to jump back on at that point?
