Hello everyone. We have recently added three new spoiler post flairs to the subreddit to help filter posts more effectively for your browsing experience. Below are the descriptions of each new flair.
No Spoilers - This first one is pretty obvious, but any post that isn't a spoiler should be flaired with this tag. Examples of this includes any merchandise you may have bought, fan art, or general questions about the shows, comics, or games that don't give the details of plot spoilers. If you are unsure whether or not your post is a spoiler, it's always best to mark it as one anyways to prevent any user from potentially spoiling themselves.
Movie - This spoiler tag regards the announced movies that will continue and end The Rick Grimes story. Anything involving plot, filming, or any other details deemed spoiler worthy should contain this tag as well. While there is a connection to the shows and the movie, no spoilers from either Fear or the Main series should be mentioned in this thread.
Cross Spoilers - This spoiler tag should be reserved when discussing multiple mediums of The Walking Dead. This could be discussions talking about both the comics and games, games and shows, or any combination of the franchise that we don't already have a flair for.
Those are our three new tags to the subreddit. I hope you all find them more useful as you browse this subreddit. I'd also like to take the time to remind everyone how to properly flair your posts.
You can add the appropriate flair in [brackets] in the main title of the post if you wish, but it's not required. If you do include the tag in the title of your post, AutoModerator will automatically apply the same flair. To manually flair your post, click the three dots button under the main body of the post, then 'Edit Flair' and make your flair selection. On Old.Reddit simply click on 'flair', and you will get that same selection of flairs.
Edit: One thing I did want to point out that may clarify something to some users. You can post something that includes no spoilers at all but still flair it as a spoiler if you expect the comments to involve spoilers. As we all know, a reddit post is made of two parts, the actual post, and the comments responding to it. If you feel that your post isn't a spoiler but might instigate spoilers in the comments, you can always flair it as a spoiler if you feel it's appropriate. It's not required, but if you feel like taking that extra step towards the community for all, sanctuary for all, you are totally free to do so. Those who arrive survive.
