So back when episode 9x15 aired, I saw a comment where someone theorized that Siddiq might’ve helped Alpha get her victims out of the Kingdom in order to save himself. Personally I didn’t really think he’d do that - doesn’t seem to be in his character. Plus, I’ve liked his character well enough since he was introduced.
The more I thought about it though, the more I entertained the idea. I’ve heard that in the comics it’s never really explained how Alpha got people out of the Kingdom with no one noticing. I don’t read the comics though, so I can’t say if that’s true, but the whole thing does have me wondering....how did she do that? I mean the thought of someone who the victims knew and/or trusted helping her seems a little more plausible than her being able to take so many people out of there on her own. While she was in disguise, I can’t really make sense of her getting that many people without inside help.
Then in last night’s episode, Siddiq’s whole PTSD flashback made me think about this theory even more. He’s a doctor, he had a kid on the way, etc. Maybe he thought he needed to survive no matter the cost? The look on his face almost looked like a guilty one. Sure, I can see it as the show just telling us how much the whole thing has impacted him. But I could also see them having a twist to the whole thing.
Like I said, I‘m not 100% one way or the other, but I do think this theory is interesting. I wanted to put it out there and see if anyone else had heard something similar or had any thoughts?
