This is one of my favorite shows, and as I've been rewatching I've noticed there's so many different things this show is or could have been.
It was originally supposed to be a half hour lawyer dark comedy about a "criminal" lawyer.
Season 1 was like a slow character drama/lawyer show with fast-paced, BB elements.
Seasons 2-3 was a very personal brother vs. Brother story.
Some of Season 3 and all of season 4 is a hard prequel to Breaking Bad.
I've started to notice that my favorite version so far has been the Kettleman arc in season 1 and the Gus arc in early season 3. Not saying these are the best bits of the show, just that they're the parts that work best with my sensibilities. But if the entire show were caper after caper like the Kettlemans with slight edges of danger from Nacho I think that'd be great for me.
I love this show in all it's forms, the writers are better than I'll ever be, but there's definitley personal preferences. What's your ideal version of this show?
