Despite this show being nominated for and receiving many awards, including most recently H. Jon Benjamin for Outstanding Voice Actor at the Annies, it looks like they've only been nominated once for their music. How is that possible? And to lose to Pearl that year, man, that's like finally making it to an Olympic racetrack lined up against Usain Bolt. But why have there been no other nominations in 9 years? It seems to me they pump out original and moving songs regularly. And Gene is, in my humble opinion, a musical genius. There should be more accolades for this.
