There's not really any spoilers here but I just didnt want to give away my opinion at the risk of someone else finding it and then having a bad expectation. I just finished GoT for the first time... I loved it so much, some moments where arguably the best TV ever produced. Breaking bad used to be my favourite series but GoT definitely topped that I think. All this being said... Season 8... yikes. I don't think I've ever felt so disappointed by an ending, I don't even mind stories or programs that have a tragic or unhappy ending, but just so much disappointment. Tyrion becomes an idiot, Jon's 'honor' becomes beyond frustrating, Dany completely goes against her entire character ark, Sansa becomes insufferable, we never find out the motives or lore of the night king. And so many little inconsistencies :( I loved my GoT journey so much but hot damn was that a disappointing end. I know all this has been said many many times probably but I just wanted to express my disappointment lol. I might have to read the books now for sure.
