I have never felt that the Old Gods were actually gods. I feel that the Old Gods and doing everything of great importance infront of a weirwood tree originated not as a religion, but as a way for the Children of the Forest to preserve their history through Green-seers without the use of the written word. Then it was later adopted into a religion by the first men who either never fully understood its true purpose, or its true purpose was lost to them over time.
I thought more people felt this way until a recent conversation I had over another channel. What do you all think?
