On what legal/religious grounds was Rhaegar allowed to annul his marriage to Elia? They were wed in the light of the Seven. It’s not like they eloped (unlike Rhaegar does with someone else.) Also, there marriage was consummated, as evidenced by their two children. I’ve scoured wiki pages etc and found no real answer. Also sorry if this belongs on another sub or whatever, don’t use reddit much.
