Am I the only one who noticed how much more dangerous skinny pete seemed in season 1 than the rest of the series?

In season 1 he almost felt like someone who was a legitimate tough criminal. The scene with him, jesse, and combo in Jesse’s house felt super dark and he had connections with Tuco. But after season 1 he became Jesse’s naive but relatively harmless friend.
