This is kind of just a fun story I like to talk about sometimes.
When I was in 5th grade I really liked this guy and we didn’t have much in common but I’d always hear him talking about TWD and how much he liked it. So over that summer, I watched every episode that was on Netflix (which was the first 7 seasons).
It got off to a slow start because I tried watching the first episode but when it got to the part with the door that said “don’t open, dead inside.” I was too scared to keep watching until a couple months later.
Along with that, I really liked creative writing and realized I needed to watch the show for research for an post-apocalyptic story i had been writing since 3rd grade about the kids I went to school with (yes I was an odd child). It had zombies that were similar to walkers and I let my friends read it for fun because all of the characters were named after people I knew.
But in the end I did end up dating that boy and literally never using any of my TWD knowledge to do it- but I’m still glad I watched it.
