I noticed a small detail on my recent rewatch. While Jesse and Badger are cooking meth in the RV, Jesse can’t figure out why his meth isn’t pure glass like Mr. White’s. I noticed on the work station that there was a bottle of nail polish remover. Some types of nail polish remover are 100 percent acetone, but the type seen on the work station is the kind with dye and no acetone.
In the very first episode when walt is cooking in front of Krazy-8 and Emilio, there is a bottle of acetone in view. Acetone is an ingredient in meth but Jesse and Badger failed to read labels and get the correct type of nail polish remover, leading to cloudy meth.
I’m not sure if this has been mentioned before but I love how they showed us why the meth was cloudy without ever actually saying it or Jesse realizing why himself.
