So I watched the first 7 seasons in 2017 and I really liked them but they were the only ones out on Netflix at the time and I wasn’t really that immersed in the fandom-
Flash forward to 3 weeks ago when my mom was talking abt TWD and I was just like- am I gonna rewatch it all ?? And then I did.
I know Season 10 is airing and I haven’t seen any spoilers yet thank god but honestly the pike scene fucked me UP
Obviously Enid and Tara; my loves. I had seen on the wiki that a few of them had died but I never knew that they had all died at the same time- obviously it left me sobbing.
And I knew Henry died but again, not which episode. But I’m sure we all knew when they flashed to Lydia saying she couldn’t find him and then Daryl running to Carol, making sure she couldn’t look really effected me (because Carol’s plotline has been one of my favorites throughout the series).
The WORST part was the fact that between seeing every head they showed the people they love either thinking about or asking about where they were. Chills. Every single one of them.
After that, hearing Siddiq’s speech about them all fighting back with the Highwaymen (who were heroes by the way they deserve everything), I literally don’t think I’ve sobbed harder due to this show (which says a lot due to the fact that I am a hardcore Glenn, Hershel, and Beth fan).
Also in the next ep did i feel remorse for Negan ?? Seeing him save Judith was 10/10 and honestly one of my favorite scenes in the show (along with the snowball fight).
Those episodes literally are probably some of my favorites in the entire show hats off.
Obviously some shit goes down later in the series but as of now I am utterly: tired of waiting bc I don’t have amc.
