Wow. I’m at a loss of words here.

I just finished the series for the first time, and, let me tell you, that was probably the best thing I’ve ever seen. I’m still trying to process it in my head. The fact that they got you to even care about this monster, let alone make me tear up when he died, is amazing. And the fact that Jesse also came full circle since the beginning of the show amazes me. He went from this punk kid on drugs to an abused and tortured adult in just over two years. I think that we all sympathize with Walt at the end though, because he realizes his greed and lack of empathy, and he realizes that he’ll never have a life worth living again, so he wanted to make the most of the days he had left. He had a proper goodbye with his family, he took down the bro-nazis, he freed Jesse, and then he died because he had fulfilled his goals. Walt always had an agenda that he had to obtain, and it was always for himself. This time, it was really for Jesse. After everything Walt had put Jesse through, he realized the only thing Walt could do to pay him back was to die and let Jesse get out and start a new life. I’ve watched the trailer to El Camino several times (I can’t sit down and watch it yet) and just that song in the trailer mixed with the shots of Jesse’s destroyed body gives me chills. I’m so excited to watch that.
