I've just started rewatching Breaking Bad with my family in quarantine, since they've never seen it. It's reminded me of so many brilliant moments, but I forgot just how heartbreaking it is watching Krazy-8 take the crusts off the toast. I can't quite explain why, but that moment is perfect visual storytelling. The person who you've seen training a vicious dog and threatening to kill both the main characters is immediately reduced to a helpless child without a single word spoken, making Walt's decision to kill him next episode so much harder. Absolutely flawless character development
