I really liked season one, and to a lesser extend the first six seasons. But ever since Glenn died in the premier of season 7, it's been going downhill. I had to force myself to get through season 10. Most of it I just found boring.
Does anyone else think the show needs new life, no pun intended? When the whisperers first appeared, I was kind of excited at the idea of the walkers starting to get smarter like they were in the first few episodes of season one when they remembered things. As dumb as that idea is, talking zombies would have at least been exciting and make them a threat again.
In the beginning of the show, it was about surviving the undead. Now the undead are only a threat when controlled by some group of living thugs.
Even all the characters I liked are now gone except Daryl, and he's not as good as he was in the first few seasons. The only new character I like is Shane's daughter, er I mean Rick's. And it feels like each season is the same. The characters find a new group, gets attacked, fights back, rinse and repeat.
I'd like to see them build something, look for a way to stop the dead from rising, invent new walker-killing traps, start clearing cities, or something that looks like progress.
