Shane’s Wife??

Not sure if this counts as a spoiler since it’s basically the five minutes of the first episode but I marked it as one just in case haha.

So Shane and Rick are talking about Shane’s (girlfriend?? Wife??) not turning off lights in the house, and that’s basically all we hear about her.

Obviously the show wouldn’t have been what it was if Shane didn’t get Lori and Carl to safety, but I always wondered why Rick and Lori never asked him if he tried to go back for his own wife and why she was never shown or mentioned.

It’s kind of strange because Shane was at the hospital when it all started, he made the choice to go get Lori and Carl over his own family, kind of sets the precedent that he wanted what Rick had the whole time, but maybe that’s the point? I’ve watched the entire series three times and this is still bothering me.
