I've listened to each episode and recently have started it over. I'll say my Opinion crudely
Shane should've left in S2 and come back, either as Governor's or Savior's henchman.
If they could walk away from the comics with Carl dying, why not keep Shane alive? He was good and the moral conflict would be interesting to see.
Kill friends that you feel betrayed you in loyalty to Negan (or gov) or betray your new group?
