The Season 4 synopsis states Hector’s collapse “throws the Cartel into chaos” and that “Nacho finds himself in the crosshairs of deadly forces.” Keeping this in mind, here’s my theory on how Lalo enters BCS:
After Hector’s collapse, he has been marginalized within the Cartel, as Gus has now taken over full distribution. This infuriates the Salamancas, and a civil war brews after an infuriated Lalo, Hector’s brother, threatens vengeance against Gus, Bolsa, and Eladio.
The battle lines are drawn, with the Cousins and a flustered and unwilling Nacho on Lalo‘s side. However, Nacho turns coat and acts as a spy for Gus since he threatens to tell Lalo about Nacho’s involvement in Hector’s heart attack. Eventually, once Nacho is no longer useful, Gus reveals Nacho’s treachery to Lalo. Betrayed, Lalo and the Cousins turn against Nacho. Nacho contacts Saul, and with the assistance of the vacuum cleaner guy, is given a new identity and is sent somewhere else, never to see his beloved father again.
What do you think about this theory? Is it plausible?
Edit: Lalo would be the Cousins’ father
