I had this thought this morning: it can pretty much be confirmed that Negan is in his cell for a long period based on JDM’s bushy-ass beard. That being said, he and Rick have some awesome stories coming up in the comics. However, if Rick does or leaves, we can’t really see those stories. Later in the comics we essentially see Negan turn over a new leaf and it appears that he becomes a “good” guy.
So what if, when Rick dies or leaves or whatever, we see that profound change come over Negan? Hell, so much has changed from the comics now that this may have some potential.
