I feel like *spoilers* death was undercut in the show

so in the comic glenn's death is this huge moment that nobody saw coming right? I feel like it lost a lot of its gravitas in the show by coming after abrahams, I mean, glenn was a way more important character and it felt like his death was just kind of a side-piece to abrahams, whereas in the comic his death was the whole point of that scene, I think if anything they should have done glenn first and abraham next
