Well, in mourning of Skin-e-Max shows, I threw this one on. I wasn't aware of this when it was new, but since Homelander is in it, I had seen it mentioned a few times on The Boys panels when Anthony Starr was getting props for it.
I only watched the first episode, and I am laughing. This is a riot. 4 seasons of this? lol, I hope it continues to be this amusing. Maybe it's better that I am seeing this now, since every snicker that Anthony Starr does makes me laugh, immediately making me think of Homelander. This guy is great. Having Frankie Faison on it as well is a huge bonus for me, since I've been a fan for years. He sure isn't Ervin Burell in this one, lol.
Speaking of cinemax series, I had read that the Knick may be getting new life. I am hoping the same happens for Warrior and Jett, but I am not holding my breath. The Knick was pretty good. Since it was Soderbergh, I did watch that one when it was out.
Sometimes, like in the case with Warrior and Jett, I don't need every series I watch to be high art/emmy bait, sometimes just entertaining is a cool thing. So far, Banshee was definitely in that league as well. Onto episode 2!
