Here’s what I know:
They had books to go off of up until season 7 and 8 which were written just to finish out the show because George hadn’t written those ones yet. I also know the writers refused 10 episode seasons in the last two
My confusion is with the writers. Did the same writers who did seasons 7 and 8 write the first 6 seasons as well?
And if so, why all the hate? As someone who loved the show through and through, but also as someone who understands not likely how it ended, why are we crucifying the writers who hooked us onto the show in the first place?
Or does the books deserve all the credit here? Idk, to me (and this is only if it was the same writers the whole 8 seasons) I would appreciate those dudes more than I’d be mad at them, making even 6 entertaining seasons is a hard task. And that’s like a decade of their time being taken up so I almost understand them wanting to wrap it up quickly and move on with their lives
