So from what i see she does have a massive army and more than anyone else in Westeros can possible raise. But I think a clear problem that I hope is show in the next season is the problems that go along with having such a large force. Most folk have from other threads talked about the supplying problem but i wish to address a problem that i feel is being overlooked.
Her army is made up of many different people,religions and cultures which will lead to many problems due to infighting and different agendas. She has ironborn who worship the drowned god and have a culture based on raiding and naval actions. They dislike authority figures who have not earned the right to lead them and likely get into fights with anyone who is not them giving orders.
Next you have the Dothraki who are normal a nomadic people who worship the great stallion and like the Ironborn have a culture of raiding and raping along with tradition of cavalry fighting. Again like the Ironborn they follow leaders who have earned the right either by being the best fighter or the person who killed there last warlord. They are very undisciplined with a tendency to in fighting.
Next you have the Unsullied who worship no gods and are simple elite Infantry made up of slave soldiers. Highly trained and will follow orders to the letter and die on command. They will not give daenerys any problems but there are a limit amount of them and no one to replace them if they die.
Next you have the armys of Dorne and the Reach who respectfully follow the seven or Mother Rhoyne as there religions. Both are cultures based on feudal system with the Reach based on farming and Dorne based on trading and fruit. Both have professional army's with ranking structures and discipline and have worked togather in past wars.
So its a big army with many races,religion and cultures. The unsullied,Reach, and Dorne will likely not be a problem as they are trained soldiers with organization. But a problem they may have is they have there own leaders who want revenge at any cost and may get testy with Daenerys if she appears slow or weak in the case of Dorne and the Reach. The Unsullied will do as there told and be loyal to Dany but she has a a unknow amount of them left after her conquests in slavers bay and she has no one to replace them if they die. They will likely be used as a last resort and as her Body Guard unit.
Her biggest problems will be with the IronBorn and the Dothraki. Both are know for there indiscipline and betraying if the odds are not in there favor. They are fierce warriors no doubt but they have limited skilled. The Ironborn are only know to be good with naval Actions and the Dothraki for there Calvary. They likely will be picking fights with each other and them self's and will be insubordinate if anyone but there own gives them orders. Plus dany has to win the small folk which is not going to happen if they are raiding and raping They greyjoys have given there word that Ironborn will not do that but I doubt they will be able to control all there men meanwhile we dont even know if the Dothraki have given the same promise.
They best thing she can do is keep the Ironborn in the water with independent command to blockade ports and help with the conquest of kings landing and for the Dothraki to be used as cannon fodder at every opportunity. Storming a breach in a Castle send the Dothraki in on foot to clear the way. Got a battle against a heavy infantry army send the Dothraki against them. Final battle against the white walkers send the Dothraki in. My point being thin there numbers out my reasoning for this is they are a wild nomadic warrior culture who will only cause problems in the long run for dany. Can you imagine what the Dothraki will do after the war do you think they will abandon there raiding and raping to pick up farming or trading or religion unlikely. No the best thing to do is thin there numbers out to the point were they will not be a threat to peace and wil bred with other people and lose there culture in few generations or get every last one of them killed in battle which to all Dothraki is a honor.
So what do you guys think do you think everything will work out prefectly for daenerys or will there be problems ? P.s sorry if my grammar and spelling is off english is not my first language.
