In Season 1, Episode 6 of Breaking Bad (Crazy Handful Of Nothin'), Walter pressures Jesse to find a new distributor. The connection he finds: Skinny Pete. He elaborates on the phone to Walter, mentioning that Tuco and Skinny P. were inmates together. Even if it's a minor cameo or there's more to it, I'd say following Tuco's release, it's possible Skinny Pete is thrown into the equation at some point throughout the season.
