First off, we never see them so that’s huge. In every single scene involving Gus, there’s never any mention or implication that he has kids. Not even from his criminal partners that know him well. It’s clearly a setup to keep up an image when he invites someone into his home.
Next big thing. There is no room in Gus’s life for family or even friends. His entire life changed when Max was killed. His life is literally the embodiment of revenge, it’s his entire purpose. Anyone he is close to would become a weakness or a liability, especially if he was trying to keep them in the dark to keep them safe. The cartel would have more leverage over him if he had a family. They would have gone after his family or threatened them instead of shooting his workers to make him cave in to demands. There’s no way that Gus was doing everything he does while also being a husband or father.
And Mike is never made aware of any of his supposed family which seems weird because Mike is his go to guy for security.
