Who should have long outlived their comic counterpart on the show?
The show’s done a varying range of adapting characters. We have Dale, Andrea, Carl etc. who died long before their comic counterpart, and these are usually pretty obvious disappointments so I’m not really asking about them. Ones like Carol, Gabriel, Ezekiel, etc. who outlived their counterparts come to mind, and I’m wondering what other characters you think should still be around today despite dying in the source material as well as the show?
Obviously the longer a character lives the more attached you get and the more iconic they become, so I feel like there’s been a lot of missed opportunities. Carol is the only character to outlive her comic version by this long, and all the others only should have died recently. I think in attempting to stick to the comics they’ve missed out on a lot of characters that could have stepped up to lead the show, as Carol and Daryl are basically the leads now just due to surviving so long.
Abraham or Glenn come to mind for me. Abraham’s death was overshadowed by Glenn’s, so he could have stuck around for All Out War and even survived til now. Glenn’s death is iconic too, but everyone can sort of agree he could have become a great leader later on. It would obviously change Maggie’s story completely, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, as massive changes the show made have paid off before.

[No Spoilers] Istill want a Pirate Arya series more than a prequel series.
Most my friends really have little interest in upcoming series but most of us want a Pirate Arya show.
One where she ends meeting up with a Prince who has recently found out he was a prince, he was raised in a simple life,, and is trying to save country by completing his Father's quest.
At first Arya will only join up with the prince for treasure and adventure but after a while they will become fast friends and commrades.
A female who can control elements and plant life. She would join the crew as a stowaway after leaving her job as a barmaid looking for adventure.
Add some weird monkey thingy that can fly and eats melons.
They join forces to fight to fight a Pirate King who is trying to retrieve the Princes sword and take over all of the country.
Completely original idea. All mine. Never heard of it before.

Battle of the bastards
This is my first time watching game of thrones so please no spoilers. But I just had to say, this has to be one of the best Battle scenes I have ever watched. Absolutely stunning, from the arrows flying to Snow standing his grown and his Calvary showing up just in time. A lot of the other battles throughout the show are great but this has been on another level, Just WOW!

Abraham vs Shane who'd win (fist fight)
Yes I know I have already done of these like 30 mins ago but I am really curious about this one since Shane Is one of my top 5 fav characters (4th and tied despite the Otis situation god bless his soul) I really enjoyed seeing Shane beating the shit out of Ed that scene was so satisfying which got me thinking: Can Shane beat Abe (6th fav character) in a 1v1 fist fight
Place your votes and why?
I think it's 7/10 for Abe since the guy's a fucking tank I mean he got hit by Lucille and still got up and said "suck my nuts" Negan himself said "taking it like a champ" regarding Abe's strength compare the first 2 hits Abe had to Glenn (My fav character of TWD) the first 2 hits Abe was skull wasn't crushed but Glenn on the other hand had his eyeball popping and he was bleeding a lot more than what Abe had If Glenn had lighter hair and the Death was at night I'm sure that we would've seen a split line on the top of his Head

[SPOILERS] Little Finger caused the Starks downfall
This isn’t a new development but upon rewatching it reminded me and became much more apparent just how much of an impact Little Finger had on the seven kingdoms. Firstly, he was the one who essentially poisoned Jon Arryon, asking Lysa who was head over heals in love with him in addition to being a bit “off” we’ll say, to poison him. This led to Robert needing a new hand and his first choice: Ned. Everybody knows how honorable Ned is so of course he’s going to do some digging all the whilst Little Finger “helping” him when Catelyn came into town. Of course he betrays him in what I assume is to further his position with the lannisters and & in hopes of finally getting with his true love: Cat. He knew Ned was to be killed in a sense, he’s always 10 steps ahead and even baited Ned into visiting one of Roberts bastards. This then causes Robb Stark to rebel & well in turn gets both Robb & Cat killed. He’s essentially the first domino that sparks everything we see in the show. Robert and Cersei wouldn’t be in Winterfell if it weren’t for the death of Jonn therefore Brann would’ve never been shoved out of the castle leading to Cat arresting Tyrion and Tywin sparking a war. This isn’t anything new and i recognize I’m treading on old ground but rewatching this show really puts it into perspective especially because I had forgotten portions of the story. Anyways thanks for reading my rant (I just finished season 4 & I honestly do not remember how Sansa got into the hands of the Bolton’s. but I reckon Finger has a hand in this, not a kings but a hand, it’s been years since a rewatch so I’m excited to see what new things I pick up on. Cheers!)

[Spoilers] Why haven't the Ironborn been exterminated? They are nothing but vermin.
I haven't read the books, so I don't quite got the whole picture, but the Iron Island make no sense to me, enlighten me if I'm wrong.
They started pretty good it seems, they built Harrenhal, so they had a strong hold of the mainland and Harren had ambition to conquer more of it, until Aegon made them kneel.
But what was the point? Do they even pay tribute to the crown? Do they even believe in currency? They have fallen a lot from grace and now they are just pathetic pirates and raiders. I believe they did pay taxes or why would Balon Greyjoy even rebel? But taxes from what? The thing they steal? Who even trades with them?
Their way of life is completely unsustainable. They shouldn’t be alive in the first place. “The Iron Islands are small, barely-fertile rocks with few safe harbors.” How do they even feed that many sailors? How do they get all the wood to build their ships? Do they just steal everything?
Aren't the mainlanders tired of their raids? Why Tywin didn't exterminate them for attacking Lannisport like he did with the Reynes and Tarbecks? “A Lannister always pay his debts”. Why don't finish the job during the Siege of Pyke? Why he or any other Lord would want to keep them around?

[Spoilers] The Main Narratives of GoT (Jon, Dany, Arya, Bran and Tyrion)
Many people have said that the main characters are Jon Snow, Daenerys, Arya, Bran and Tyrion. Aside from Tyrion, I didn't find any of these "main narratives" gripping.
Out of these characters, I thought Jon had the closest to entertaining, supporting players, (really just Dolorous Edd) but could the others carry a show on their own? Bran had Meera, Howland and Hodoor but I was bored. Arya had assassin's, actresses and her own goonies, upon reflection I was mostly bored. Daenerys had a boy toy, a eunuch and a hair dresser, I was bored as hell.
I also resent to this day, Tyrion was taken out of the main action in Westeros and marooned in boring Mereen.
Does anyone think it is coincidental that the show lost some of it's magic when the above started to take center stage. Prior to Season 7, I felt like Tywin, Cersei, Joffrey, Lancel Olenna, Margaery, Loras, Tyrion, Sansa, Shae, Varys, Littlefinger, Ramsay and Roose had me on the edge of my seat. They were making something happen, they were watching something happen or something was happening to them.
I don't doubt GRRM intended for J/D/A/B/T to be the center pieces of the whole tale, but did he get carried away with his own supporting characters?

[SPOILERS] Alternate ending
I actually couldn't care less about the white walkers so the only change is that Jon kills the night king and the dragon the night king kills is alive the night king is rusty after like a thousand year sleep and he misses terribly and they escape. Then later when they go to kings landing (yes I am skipping past things) cersi gets killed by Jamie with brienne by his side the golden company has quite a mighty force and daenerys is concerned with the large army's of the Golden company and the lannister army and the iron fleet she is concerned she gathers up her troops gives a inspiring speech and they head off to try and pick off the iron fleet but before she uses a day to train the 3 dragons to dogs scorpions then they set off to wipe the iron fleet with the help of the Greyjoys A long and hard battle on the sea and daenerys and Jon riding drogon and rhaegar burn the last few ships viscerion I think is how it is spelled got shot it isnt that bad but will take days to heal daenerys caring about viscerion but still wanting to go leaves him behind to heal going with 2 dragons Daenerys and Jon burn the scorpions while barely dodging the bolts are successful then they start burning the golden company in the back where no friendly fire will occur the dothraki and unsullied suffer many casualties but the golden company suffer more and realize they are on the losing side and retreat cersi upset takes golden company representives hostage and kills them Daenerys and Jon no longer can help because they will accidentally burn civilians in the fort? If they use fire so they melt the stone walls and burn down the gate to let the unsullied, and dothrakki handle the lannister army after a hard battle (I'm probably over using this) the lannister army surrenders danny being merciful gives them a choice join her or leave with nothing no gold no weapons nothing most join because they feared cersi but hated her and would love to see her die they don't know she is already dead but when they rush the castle they are fine with just finding her dead danny never finds out Jon is a Targaryen and neither does Jon Bran and Sam realize he's happy and wouldn't want to ruin that so danny and Jon get married Jon accepts Danny's I can't have children challenge and she sits on the iron thron justly ruling with Jon by her side to steer her in the right direction if she starts to turn they have a sane kid and Bran because warden of the north (I'm sorry if this offends you but I can't stand Sansa late seasons) and I'm pretty sure that's the end if you like this and you want an answer to something un answered or untouched I guess I can answer it

[SPOILERS] I have changed my mind about Daenerys (for now, at least).
A while ago, I made a post explaining that I had only three or four episodes of Season 2 left to go and I so far did not particularly enjoy the character of Daenerys. My reasons were she came across as entitled and spoiled, didn't really have much of a badass threat to her, and she threatened everyone who didn't help her but never really carried much power to her threats.
Well, I just finished Season 3 Episode 4 "And Now His Watch Has Ended" and I am pleased to report my opinion on her character has taken a complete U-turn. Obviously, I'll have to watch the rest of the season before I fully solidify my new opinion, but if this is the direction her character will be taken, I am 100% ready.
I already was pretty impressed with the way she was handled in the Season 2 finale, but this episode completely changed what I thought about Daenerys. She was cunning, she had a plan, she was intelligent and strategic about the way she went about things. Instead of threatening Kraznys like she would have before by saying her full title and expecting everything to land in her lap, she pretends not to understand his insults and cleverly outbids gold by offering one of her dragons, fully knowing it will only obey her. Once the Unsullied are under her command, she double-crosses him and has them kill every last slaver, aided by her dragons.
This is the badass Daenerys I'd heard of for so long but had never seen. When she announced her full title, "Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen" I finally felt she'd earned the right to say that name- instead of entitlement and expectation, she said that name with lethality and vengeance burning in her eyes. And she hasn't lost her compassion, either, since she frees the Unsullied to follow her as free men and commands they don't harm any children or civilians, and to free the slaves. She's now a much more interesting, morally grey character.
Again, I hope this is the direction they take with her for the rest of the season, if not the rest of the show, but we'll have to see. Still, I am much happier with this Daenerys than the one of the last two seasons- a Daenerys of intelligence, both of mercy and vengeance, who truly deserves to hold a claim to the Iron Throne.

The recurring characters of Garak. Dukat, Nog, Eddington, Martok, Weyoun and even Damar on Star Trek : Deep Space Nine are a masterclass in writing and acting!
These characters are truly fantastic to watch. You'd be forgiven for presuming they were regular cast members considering how much screentime they have but at most Dukat or Nog appeared in half the episodes of the series while someone like the character of Eddington appeared in just seven. And yet he received so much complexity that even some regular cast members on other Trek series like Voyager or Enterprise after seven or four seasons didn't receive.
Credit to the writers for fully believing in the actors portraying these roles and giving them so much to convey. Heck, even Damar who seemed a glorified extra for a few seasons was given one hell of a story arc in season 7.
My favorite is either Garak or Nog. They are so enriched and a thrill to be a witness to. Hell, I'd watch a solo series based on their backstory!
Jeffrey Combs as Weyoun should have been nominated for multiple Saturn Awards. That guy has incredible range!

[SPOILERS] So i just finished battle of winterfell yesterday(s8e3) and now....i am umm...a bit confused and disappointed. I hav so many questions in my mind rn.
How so many wights around jon snow rearisen by ni8 king after jon decided to charge towards him, could not even touch jon? Isnt it a bit exaggerated?
And that dumbfuck zombie dragon who could destroy a wall of 1000 years protected by ancient magic in seconds but could not attack the main winterfell castle. It just flew around it and spat some of its acetylene flame to the castle wall and then went away.
I thought jon said that he could not let his army attack directly towards the dead army. But yet at the start of battle he let his whole dothraki division go into a suicide mission and die miserably within minute. I expected a lot more from dothraki as so many of them crossed narrow sea for first time in their history and finally they were sent to become zombie food. Its not like that jon didnt know that the army of dead had far more soldiers than his dothraki division before making them charge forward.
What is the relation between long n8 and erasing memory of world? Sorry i am dum.
AND the most IMPORTANT thing. How can arya sneak into the night king in front of all his white walker commander?
There r so many other things that disappointed me like i really hoped that tyrion will help in this war in some way(either physical or mental) becoz some of his dialogues, the motive of n8 king etc.
I am not a veteran of this show and this sub. I am rather new here. This is my first time watching it but i never got so many questions and confusions after watching a GOT episode since s1e1. Hope u can help me understanding these confusions.

[NO SPOILERS] Why is the language spoken in Westeros called "common tongue" instead of Westerosian/Andalian?
I love GRRM’s worldbuilding, but I always thought that calling the language "common" feels very unnatural and weird. If you look at the real world there are many languages that are spoken in several countries or on a large territory, but even if e.g. Latin was sort of a common tongue of all Roman provinces, but no one has ever thought of calling it "common" and instead it was just named Latin because it was the language of the tribe of Latins/Latians who conquered those lands. Using the same logic the language of Westeros should be called something like Andalian or Andalish cause it was the Andals who first conquered those lands and imposed their language on all the other tribes simillar to how the Anglosaxons imposed English to Scots, Welsh and Irish to a large extent. But I have never ever heard of people anywhere in history making their language common even if it was the language spoken by all.

[NO SPOILERS] Anyone else go through a depression phase missing the show?
This just came on recently and maybe its because this used to be game of thrones month but man do I miss this show. I really havent thought of thrones since season 9 and its immense disappointment. I basically left the show, threw my got stuff in the closet and forgot about the series. Recently however I have been watching clips and fuck man, I miss it all. The hype, discussions, sunday nights..
I remember 2016-2019 GoT was my life. I remember getting so excited for the new seasons and watching them with my dad and had my jon snow foam sword and stannis cup. All my friends watched it and there was so much discussions online. So much theory's and lore to read up on. I read the books in 2018 and must have rewatched the show like 3 times over the course of 2 years.
Its crazy how its already been 2 years since the show ended, longer than the wait from season 7 to 8. Maybe its because 2020 feels like it lasted 1 day yet at the same time I feel like 2019 was forever ago. Anyone else go through this post-got depression phase? Maggie isn't responsible for Rick's death.
Maggie was going after the man who brutally killed her husband in front of her, I don't care how you feel about Negan, Like him, Hate him, it was justified. Rick could've just let the bridge go, at that point he made his own choice. He made his decision then. Then people are complaining she executed the man who HIRED an assassin to kill her in front of her kid? Maybe it was wrong to do it in front of the crowd but she was justified for killing him. This sub confuses me sometimes.

Is the orville worth a watch?
I watched the pilot and liked it but never watched it again. I liked that it was messing with the sci fi tropes and being irreverent towards TNG but I also worry that it will get old fast and not have much in the way of character growth. I don't want to watch family guy in space.
Is it worth a binge?

[Spoilers] What was Cersei thinking?
Like, one after the other the various houses kept dying out due to various reasons.
Cersei honestly didn't seem to like ANYone except for Jaime and her children. So by going around and killing or antagonizing all the other houses, who were her children supposed to marry eventually?
Lets say Tommen didn't commit suicide after she blew up Margery along with the sept. Who would he have married? Who could have been a fitting choice for a king? All the other major houses were either dead or hated the them. Would she just have found some random noble lady and made her queen?

[No spoilers] Tyrion dropping his accent?
Something that I noticed in my first watch through of GOT, and notice each time (I've watched it through about 5 times), is Tyrion dropping his lannister accent when Catelyn is taking him to her sister in season 1. Once the hill tribes start attacking the group they are in, he says "untie me. If I die, then whats the point" except he doesn't use his regular "proper" English accent, and uses a much harsher common accent.
I've been trying to Google why he does this and I've found nothing, and was wondering if anyone here noticed and knows why?
The first time I thought maybe he was just putting on a posh act, pretending to be high and mighty but that was just a facade. Nothing obviously came of that theory, his normal accent IS the posh one, and he never drops it for the rest of the show

My Name is Earl
Say what you want but "My Name is Earl" was a great show. It had a great underlying message and a TON of heart. Seasons 1-2 would have me getting a little watery eyed at times. Sometimes because of the comedy but most of the time it was about Earl taking another step towards redemption. It was at times very low brow but it always had heart. Seasons 3-4 lost that feeling. What a shame. The show had real potential.

Just finished my second season of the walking dead, Season Two. My thoughts and Opinions + Rankings on each main character
This season was actually really good. It started off pretty strong, but personally I feel the whole Sophia thing held it back a little but it did make for some important character development with a lot of the characters. I did get a little bored towards the end due to the whole Lori/Shane/Rick thing, I honestly got tired of it after a while but luckily the season picked back up the episode before the finale. Making the finale truly amazing.
- Rick Grimes - This season was a improvement for Rick. I was definitely annoyed with him at points, and got bored of him eventually because of the whole Shane/Lori thing. However this season showed more of his character, his determination to find Sophia was great. Along with that, him killing off Shane was amazing because I hated Shane so he definitely did what he had to do. I'm not really in his corner 100% yet, but we'll see what season three brings. His parenting with Carl could use a lot more work though.
- Dale Horvath - He definitely got better this season. Him being the first to see through Shane's bullshit really made me like him a lot more. All the talks he gave to the rest of the cast really made me like his character a lot more, sadly his death was very unexpected. I understand he probably had no use considering Shane's death would be coming up, however I definitely thought he wouldn't went out in the hands of Shane and not like that.
- Glenn Rhee - I feel the same way about him after the first season, he's a funny guy. Maggie treating him like dirt and him still trying to make things right really made me like him 10x more. Unfortunately this season titled him as "The Test Hamster"
- Daryl Dixon - Big improvement from the first season! Character development worked wonders on him, he really showed to be a caring guy with a hard shell. He did have a few bad scenes, like him picking at Carol's daughter's death. He clearly has the most flaws out of the group next to Shane, clearly been hurt a lot of times throughout his life and I truly admire his determination to save Sophia
- T-Dog - He was absolutely robbed of little to no camera time or storyline this season, it really sucks to be the only black person on the main cast. He was hurting in the beginning of the season, but sadly the disappearance of Sophia and the shooting of Carl overshadowed all of that and he was left out to be a after thought. Hopefully he gets his justice and gets some big storyline in season three.
- Randal Culver - He was a breath of fresh air for me, I was pretty interested in him. Only a little though, would've been interesting if he was let go and he immediately found a route back to his group and came back for war.
- Carol Peletier - Eh, Nothing really changed my opinion on her this season. She still just comes off as the hopeless lady who just lost her family. Don't love her, but don't hate her. I'm probably the most neutral on her.
- Maggie Greene - The first female character who is showing some strong characteristics finally, unfortunately I found her very irritating also. I understand why she was mad but she took it to the max, a very aggressive and bitter character. Once Glenn made up with her she did become a little more likable again, slapping Shane was definitely the highlight of her career.
- Hershel Green - He's a great guy also, the walkers in the barn definitely gave me flashbacks to Telltales the Walking Dead where one character also believed the walkers were humans. Except that character was a little more decorated. However, Hershel is a decent character. Don't really have strong feelings for him but he's alright.
- Sophia Peletier - Her story was sad, but I have this thought in the back of my head that she was supposed to come up at some point because they dragged the hell out of her being missing. Like I said it made up for great character development but yeah, took too many episodes. Rest In Paradise though.
- Andrea Harrison - She really had the quickest fall from grace i've ever seen. I was honestly so ready to see Andrea turn into this badass for season two after her sister's death. However, once she hooks up with Shane she becomes unbearable herself.. all of a sudden she's ten toes down for that man. I really can't remember him even speaking to her as much as he did after they hooked up. It's kinda like he just pretended she didn't exist anymore. Very disappointed in this character.
- Lori Grimes - I still stand with how I felt about her after the first season, not much changed except she got a little more annoying. Hopefully with Shane gone she'll finally.. get herself together or something.
- Carl Grimes - GOD, this rat is annoying. Sorry but honestly one of the worst types of TWD characters are the children who grow up too fast and think they can take on anything. The only child that I've ever liked on TWD is Clementine. I just found it annoying how he'd always run to Shane for advice as if he was his father, I found it a little weird but I guess I can take into consideration the time he spent with Shane while Rick was in a coma.
- Otis - He seemed like a great guy, sadly Shane is a unhinged.
- Shane Walsh - Wow, I was told that he'd end up being one of my favorites and that he was one of the best characters ever. However I guess he's not my cup of tea, I understand he was meant to be the villain but honestly this man ranks up as one of the most irritating TV characters for me. I love villains don't get me wrong, but Shane is a very unbearable human being and is clearly mentally screwed. Him saying Rick can't protect his family, him continuously claiming Lori & Carl as his own, Killing Otis etc. Rick killing him and Carl finishing the job easily ranks up as one of my favorite scenes. I can see how people view him as a great character considering he had some compelling moments I won't lie, but he's just not my type.
- Beth Greene - Don't really care for her at all, I didn't know she existed until she passed out in the background and was staring at the ceiling in bed. Her suicide attempt was sad to watch but uh, yeah she should've had a little focus on her earlier because her popping up like that was definitely confusing and random unless I wasn't paying attention.
- Jimmy - Again, he popped up out of nowhere and never really paid attention to him. Don't care for him at all.
Overall the season was great! I'm hoping for a bad ass character that I can root for to step in, especially excited for the debut of Michonne. She, Glenn & Rick were the only characters I knew of before watching and I heard amazing things about Michonne so i'm all the more excited to began season three.

So the showrunners of 'Dexter' hated Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter right?
I mean, that's the only logical explanation I have for the following:
1) Coming up with an incest plotline six (seven?) seasons into the show when it was never hinted at even once prior to that.
2) Making two great actors in Hall and Carpenter do their best to actually play that with all the requisite terrible dialogue and nonsensical plotting.
3) Make two great actors like Hall and Carpenter do the above WHILE THEY WERE GOING THROUGH A DIVORCE.
I came to the conclusion that Scott Buck hated these two, the network, and the entire concept of Dexter as a show. It's the only thing that explains the last two seasons.

Just watched the first 6 seasons in 13 days. Here are my thoughts.
Holy shit, that was a lot of binging. Well I guess I’ll start with season 1. Right off the bat, I’ve never really watched an MA rated show, and I’m not used to realistic gore. Seeing the walkers in the first episode was surreal. I never even know there was a comic series when I started, so I had no clue if Rick was going to make it far at all.
Although the first episode was amazing, the best introduction they could have made, I didn’t understand what this show was going to be like until the 3rd one, when half the camp gets massacred. I expected people like Amy to be on the show long term, and for them to suddenly be ripped away was strange. I became engrossed in this fight for survival, them trying to figure out wtf was going on and how to fix it. I’ve heard that people don’t like the CDC episode, but personally I thought it was a great way to bring closure to the fact that this shit is long term. It’s not going away soon, and you’re going to have to fight every damn moment to survive.
Season 2: Fantastic season. I didn’t expect Daryl to be more mild and a group worker. We saw that he did truly start to care for not just himself, but others.
Rick becomes more hardened, and I was shocked that Dale and Andrea were the only ones who voted not to execute that kid locked up in the barn (Randall?). They started to become colder, and less forgiving than they were before, and it was difficult to see for me.
Season 3: Another solid season. Rick switches to a pack mentality, dead set against interacting with other people outside of the pack. Seeing him show little mercy was a little stunning, but sometimes understandable.
I liked Hershel’s development in this season too. In season 2 I went from liking him at first loathing him when he wanted to send Rick and his group away. It was really cool to see him grow into a figure of support for everyone, even Rick, to lean on. I almost felt like he was my own grandfather.
Michonne’s inability to communicate with her friends/allies was extremely frustrating. All she could say to Andrea when she said they had to get out was “It’s not safe”. Girl, why don’t ya tell her you saw fresh blood on the cars that the Governor recently delivered? It’s the Idiot plot I guess.
When Lori died when T dog died, I was like oh shit...anyone can die. People still aren’t safe. It felt like they were weaning down the characters to the essential group.
The Governor is an intriguing character, charismatic leader disguised as an angel of light, but also coming from personal tragedy. He is skillful at manipulation and deceit. Andrea was just frustrating. She could have killed him when she had the chance!!!
Man, Merle is a fucking asshole. But really badass of Glenn to come from a situation where he’s tied up to a chair to killing the Walker with the chair, then breaking a waker’s arm bone to use as a weapon? Badass! This is when I first thought, “Wow, Glenn is a fucking survivor, just like Rick”. I got pretty pissed when Daryl ran off with Merle, leaving his group, after when Merle did to Glenn and Maggie. That was a hard betrayal, but he kinda redeemed himself.
The finale was super disappointing at the time, felt really anticlimactic. I wanted to see the Governor die. Andrea died in the dumbest way too. She should have gone out by the governor’s own hand/escaped to die in battle protecting the prison.
Season 4: I loved seeing that they had started to build a community, with a library, farm, school... finally, they were getting stronger. But then shit hits the fan after a virus, and then the Governor comes back. I liked how they did it tbh, we got to see the Governor find Tara and her family, hook up, act as a father figure, and generally a good guy. But then we remember why we hate him so much, when he uses his ruthlessness to get rid of “threats” to group, and goes back to the prison. It was always going to end this way.
Watching Rick plead with the Governor was heartbreaking. Andrew has always proven he’s such a great actor, it’s like he’s actually in that situation IRL. I saw Hershel’s death coming all season, honestly just glad he made it that far. What really hurt was that he didn’t just get a decapitation, he crawled on the ground trying to get to safety before getting hacked at multiple times. It was dark shit.
Now they’re all separated and back to square 1. FUCK. It was such a shocker to see Lizzie go full crazy and kill her sister. Didn’t see that coming... look at the flowers....
Carol grew from a scared, abused and lonely woman to a hardened and determined person. Killing David and Tyreese’s white girlfriend was definitely wrong and unjustified. But it was hard to see her develop into that, molded by the hard cold reality of the world.
I kinda thought Beth was acting super childish, wanting to get some fucking alcohol when they should be trying to get their shit together.
I was so fucking relieved to have Glenn find Maggie again. Their relationship meant a lot to me, because it was so relatable. I wanted them to survive the whole way with Rick and eventually settle down and help rebuild society.
One final note is how Rick is a goddamn badass. Can’t imagine having to see a guy trying to rape your son and threading to rape michonne before killing you all. But he’s a survivor, and did what he had to do to keep him and his family safe, ripping the Claimer’s fucking throat out
Season 5: Holy fucking fireballs, that first episode. Realizing that they were cannibals and seeing all the hung up human flesh was absolutely mortifying. And seeing those guys getting their throats slit out like animals? Gave me chills. So glad to see Glenn not get slit last second. Carol was badass, Rick was a badass, perfect episode.
I was really sad to see Bob go, I liked him and felt bad for Sasha, but at least he got the last laugh on those smug cannibal bastards. The acting by his actor was really good.
Gabriel sucks dick.
Abe’s way with language is hilarious, and good comedy relief.
I enjoyed the rest of the season, but not much to say about it tbh.
Season 6: I was super happy to see that they started to get their shit together. Rick and Michonne hooked up, there was some peace, etc. Then everything goes to shit again. Watching Eugene bit off Dwight’s dick was hilarious and amazing.
I’m going to talk about the season finale and season 7 episode 1 as the same episode.
Watching the RV getting blocked again and again was frustrating, and I started to feel this sense of despair. That only increased when we got to the woods. The whistles were truly frightening. Then... Negan. Watching him kill Abraham was gut wrenching. At least he went out like a badass, but it was super hard to watch. I thought it was going to be Daryl.
Then... Glenn. Some of the deaths in the show really affected me before. Dale was hard, Tyreese was hard, T Dog was hard, but this? Not only him dying but the way he did it, gasping and gurgling, in the shape he was in, Maggie’s cries of anguish, his final words. My heart just sank. The rest of the episode was no better, Rick basically got tamed by Negan and lost all of his confidence, and realized that he was truly powerless. Watching him sob when he was about to cut off Carl’s arm had me shaking.
As soon as the episode was over, I knew I wouldn’t feel the same about this show ever again. Maybe my expectations were wrong from earlier but, this is not how I thought shit was going to go. I felt pretty hopeless about the story. Like I truly realized, a happy ending is NOT happening. So I started to question what the point is to continue watching, if I know most of them are gonna get killed off anyway? I couldn’t watch more.
After that I spoiled myself on stuff after that. I learned that Carl dies in season 8. What the fuck? Like ok, the show is hopeless at this point. When I watched season 1, it looked like it was going to be a struggle for survival for Carl, for a better future. But we’re just killing off all the goddamn OGs!
It looks like all the rest is just clan wars and shit. This is unrecognizable from the TWD I started on. Honestly really disappointed. I guess I’ll just have to make up my own head canon. Huge shame because the actors poured their best into their work. Too bad the writing failed them.

[SPOILERS] Theon/Ramsay - Season 5
So, it's my first watch and I'm on season 5 (episode 5) right now and I just have to say how bad I feel for Theon, man... What Ramsay is doing to him is easily one of the worst (if not the worst) things that have happened to a character, at least so far. Every single scene with him after he turns into this broken pet it's just hard to watch and heartbreaking. Probably one of the only events of any show or movie I've seen that actually left me sad and frustrated for days. I can't forget that scene when his sister goes to rescue him and he refuses to go and keeps referring to himself as "Reek". I can definitely say that I hate Ramsay way more than Joffrey. Hope Theon gets his revenge eventually.

the two most popular ships i see with him are that of beth and carol; beth is literally just an adult when they get development together (barely 18, daryl being in his 30s-40s according to the wiki), and carol and daryl have a much closer relationship than that of romantic. i honestly think daryl and carol are like siblings and/or best friends. daryl being shipped with these two or any others just doesn't make sense to me.

[SPOILERS] What happened at Winterfell at the end of S2?
I'm rewatching the show with a few friends who haven't seen it, and we recently finished season 2, but there were some things they were confused by, and as it's been a while since I've seen it, I didn't have answers.
So, Winterfell was held by Theon and 20 Ironborn. We hear a horn blowing incessantly, and are told that there are 500 Northmen outside the walls. (Roose Bolton mentioned sending his bastard to deal with Theon, so I assume the army is Ramsay's).
So Theon gives a speech, then the Ironborn knock him out and stab Master Luwin, saying they're gonna leave. The next thing we see, Bran, Rickon, Osha, and Hodor emerge from the crypts to find Winterfell abandoned and burnt, and Luwin tells them to flee to the Wall to be safe.
What happened to Winterfell? How did the Ironborn get out? Where did the 500 Northmen go? And if they took Winterfell, why does Bran still need to run?

[Spoilers] I cannot stand Daenerys Targaryen.
Okay, so I'm only about halfway through season 2, so for all I know she gets better. But as it is right now, I cannot STAND Daenerys Targaryen. She's by far not my most hated character, as there are characters I'm actually supposed to hate (Joffrey, Cersei, Littlefinger, Theon, et cetera) and I really like Emilia Clarke, but Daenerys acts so entitled and spoiled. Every other scene she's going on about how she's "Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen" and "the rightful queen" and everyone else is "a false ruler." She assumes that because her father was king, Westeros will automatically support her rule, ignoring the fact that her father was widely hated for being a madman. She also seems to think the best strategy to securing aid is acting superior to everyone and threatening fire and brimstone to someone the moment they don't give her what she wants when she wants it.
Now, I know her life hasn't been easy. She had an abusive and half-crazy brother, and was almost certainly conditioned from birth to remember and know these things, was forced into a marriage, and suffered loss in both her husband and her child. But the way she talks and acts like the throne will somehow only respond to her just makes her sound way too much like Joffrey to me. They both behave as if they're divine and no one can lay a hand on them because they believe themselves to simply be too good. It just makes her seem like she feels she doesn't have to worry about actually being a good ruler, simply because she assumes no one would oppose her anyway. I want to like her character, so I really hope she wises up and matures as the series goes on.
Like I said, I'm only about halfway through season 2, so PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, do NOT spoil anything, PLEASE.

Unpopular opinion; I don't care that this character was killed and didn't upset me at all glad they're gone NEW VIEWERS DO NOT ENTER IF YOU HAVEN'T REACHED THIS PART OF THE SHOW
I've been watching TWD since season 2 began, and everyone loathed Carl until the Negan story line when he somewhat became a bad ass. It's upsetting AMC screwed Chandler Riggs over money wise, yes Carl was an original cast member but Riggs could not pull off Comic Carl's story. He's not that good of an actor. Only time I found him decent was when Carl was shot in season 2.

[SPOILERS] Pls help me find which episode I was last on based on scene dialogue
I'm getting back into watching the rest of the series, but I can't find which episode I was last at. I think it may have been season 3.
The scene I recall was Tyrone Tyrion Lannister (and another character) being adrift on the ocean in a small boat and when a ship approaches them that seems like a rescue, Tyrone says something like "I can smell it from here. It's a slave ship"
Any pointers about which season/episode this is will be greatly appreciated!

Why don’t they bring clementine to the walking dead tv show?
I’ve been replaying the walking dead game recently and I’m wondering why they don’t bring Clem to the tv show since it’s confirmed it’s connected (in season 1 of the game glen went to Atlanta where he would meet Rick in the show). I’ve heard that they’re making an animated series to continue the telltale story but honestly I think that’s pointless why not just bring Clem and the other people from telltale into the show since the show is dying anyway (or at least into one of the movies they’re making). Or at least continue the game

[Spoilers] Do you think a season 9 was unlikely to happen in the first place?
After looking at the book fire cannot kill a dragon it seems that the cast were starting to get more busy and expensive which made it harder to keep them on the show. Along with that the showrunners were worried about it going on longer then it should. Do you think that the showrunners were put in a situation where they couldn't go further than 8 seasons?

Season 10 is going to be such a strange season for new fans, when binged.
10A is almost entirely buildup, 10B is fast-paced and action-packed, and 10C is slow af and character-focused. It will most likely feel like a really long prologue, followed by the main story, followed by a really long epilogue.

Just finished my first season of the walking dead, Season One. My thoughts and Opinions + Rankings on each main character
The season was pretty good, I was a little lost at points but nonetheless it was a great season to start. Shockingly I didn't really like a lot of the characters, some weren't given that much camera time and some I just found a little annoying or weird.
- Glenn Rhee - Fell in love with him the minute Rick got that walky talky in his hand. He's such a comedic character and easily my top 5 so far. Greatest character out of the group right now.
- Morgan Jones - Another one of my favorites, I hate how he's only gotten one episode. He was a better character in one than most were in six episodes. Praying for a return out of him somewhere down the line, just a overall great father. The little arc he had with his wife being a walker made me love him even more, definitely one of the few characters I have some emotional attachment to already. Which is crazy to say.
- Jacqui - So upset she stayed in the CDC, I was hoping she was going to be the one female character who'd be a strong character. She had the spunk, sass and everything. Definitely another one that's in my top five.
- Andrea Harrison - She's pretty alright to me, I can definitely see her turning into a stronger character in the future. Don't really love or hate her just yet but I can see the potential in her. Her sister passing really gave her some character development and I'm hoping she'll capitalize on that. Definitely one of my favorites out of the cast as of now.
- Rick Grimes - I'm not too big on him, he was pretty decent to me. If he weren't the main character he wouldn't have stood out to me like others. Don't have too much to say about him now but he just comes off as a heroic human being which is always great.
- Amy Harrison - She's decent, I didn't really care for her all that much. A sweet character but I saw her death coming, she easily came off as the girl who freezes up somehow and gets herself killed but her death definitely took me by surprise. Hopefully it fuels her sister to become a stronger character
- T-Dog - I would've actually liked this man had he fought back against Merle and didn't let himself get beat up. Also would've liked him if he didn't volunteer to save Merle. However he does seem like another comedic relief, would've loved if he got a little more camera time. Hope he gets more of that in the next season.
- Lori Grimes - Dislike her also. Same goes for her, dead or not I despise people who hook up with any close friend to their loved ones. It's just weird and disrespectful especially with her son there. I can see her making for some compelling storylines in the future but as of now she's irritating.
- Carol Peletier - Don't really care for her at all to be honest, not much I can say. Her abusive arc with Ed made me feel some sympathy for her though. Hoping she can grow past that.
- Dale Horvath - Don't really care for him at all to be honest, not much I can say. I wish he fought for Jacqui to leave the CDC as much as he fought for Andrea.
- Shane Walsh - I really dislike this man, I despise people who hook up with their bestfriends, or relatives loved one. Dead or not, it was wrong of him and left a sour taste in my mouth. Originally liked him but once I found out Lori was Rick's wife that made him dead to me. Also found it really weird how he tried to throw himself onto Lori in the finale while Rick is in the building.
- Daryl Dixon - Another character that I don't have any emotion towards, as of now he just comes off as aggressive and nothing more really. He does show he's somewhat caring when Glenn yells at him to not burn the bodies after the camp attack but that's pretty much it.
- Merle Dixon - Hated this man. Minute he called T-Dog the N word he killed all his potential momentum for me. Which he stayed chained up and gotten eaten by walkers but it'll be interesting to see where he is next season.
- Ed Peletier - Trash, well-deserved death.
In conclusion the season was pretty great, definitely had a lot of controversial moments that really shocked but but I guess i'll have to brace myself for more of those. Continuing onto season two tomorrow!

[SPOILERS] Reading 'FIRE & BLOOD' while listening to the GOT score
I usually listen to music while reading. As I just finished the chapter in 'FIRE & BLOOD' called A Time of Testing, and things couldn't be going better for Jaehaerys I, the Game of Thrones soundtrack playing on my headphones has reached the Targaryen theme music, and it's the part where Daenaerys is flying on Drogon and comes up from behind a hill. I've never studied music, but have delved in aesthetics and critique in uni, and the word that comes to mind is "glorious". It doesn't happen often where I have a deeply emotional experience like that while reading. Alas, here I am a sobbing grown man.
By the way, if you haven't tried reading while immersing into related music, I really do recommend it. I know a lot of people prefer silence, but as someone with ADHD it helps my sporadic attention span to emotionally engage with the text, and it just adds that much more of an artistic dimension to the experience.

[SPOILERS] Finally got around to watching game of thrones. This is easily the best show I’ve ever seen...until season 8 hit. What the hell happened?!? I’m so disappointed and sad..
WARNING THIS IS A LONG POST. I dedicated so much time watching 8 seasons of this show and really grew attached to it. With this comes a lot of passionate opinions. So don’t take this to heart as it’s just my opinion on the show as a whole(which I still consider one of the best shows I’ve seen) doesn’t mean I can’t dislike certain aspects and believe it could have been much better. So here it is.
It’s like they took the best of their ideas on how each “story” could end and threw them out the window and went with the worst ideas possible.
For starters. The battle against the dead was hyped up the entire show. I was so excited to see how the hell they were going to win. And for most of the episode I was blown away and loving how it was going. The dead were absolutely terrifying and exactly how they were hyped up to be. And then before I know it, the entire horde dies in the blink of the eye by a single dagger.. how did she even sneak up on the king white walker??? The war against the dead should have been longer and not won in a single battle. It was hyped since literally the FIRST episode.
Next thing I really hated was how they completely blew over the hype that Jon freaking snow was really this high and mighty heir this whole time!! I was so hyped to see everyone’s reactions to hearing that and instead it was blown over. Sansa and Arya’s reactions were completely left out. I get Jon(aegon?) was an honorable guy but he should have had a much better reaction to not being a bastard. Same with everyone else. It’s like no wonder this dude Keeps coming out on top, he’s a damn king! I was very disappointed with how this was handled..
Next Danaeris goes completely against what she has been the entire series.. she was breaker of chains the whole time. Then in two episodes decides to throw it all out the window and murder the entire population of kings landing? Without a reason to do it either other than simply being evil. I don’t get it. Atleast give a reason to why she thought murdering everyone (and not even going for queen cerci but instead a bunch of random innocent people instead) why not have her burn cerci first and then have the people refuse her as queen which intern makes her burn them rather than hearing some bells and going awire.. I was so sad watching that episode unfold. It just made absolutely no sense..
Next why did Jon have to be the one to kill Danaeris.. he is the most honorable and good person all show long. And they decide to throw his entire character away by going against everything he was as a person.. I get it, Danaeris was evil now and had to be dealt with. I just don’t think Jon sneaking up on her and betraying her was the way to get rid of her. Plus not to mention drogon just allowing it to happen.. He didn’t even care! So now Jon will never be looked at as this honorable man and instead will be hated and named a queen slayer like Jamie Lannister is. So another character I really loved gets completely demolished.. I personally really thought Arya would have been the one to kill her since she nearly killed everyone on her list(or they were dead)
Then when they decide to chose who to have rule the kingdom. Why wouldn’t someone mention Jon?! Against, beside killing the queen which I guess had to be done in the eyes of all these characters, he was the most honorable and good person out of all of them and they all knew it. But he doesn’t even get a single nomination to be queen so we can atleast hear the reasons to why he shouldn’t? And Instesd they make an emotionless dude that couldn’t care less about anything the king?? Wouldn’t he be better as the hand as he could give advice on a level no one else could?
Also what the hell is Jon going to do now that the watchers of the wall don’t really have anything to defend against. Wildlings aren’t their enemies anymore.. and all the white walkers are dead along with all the dead bodies used as an army being burned.
I’m not trying to bash this show as like I said, it’s the best show I’ve ever seen. But did they switch the people responsible for making the show in the last season? It seemed like literally everything went in the opposite direction it was going to go. Did the show stop making a lot of money and they needed to really budget the final season and hurry the ending to save money?? I’m genuinely asking what happened?? Season 8 just made absolutely no sense to me and I have so many questions left unanswered. Such a shame because shows are meant to build up to good endings and without good endings the entire buildup isn’t nearly as worth it.. I’m so disappointed with the ending but ultimately sad it’s over and I have nothing to watch that I feel will be as good as this show, even with a last season that I didn’t necessarily enjoy.
What do you guys think?? Am I being dumb and letting my own feelings and how I wanted it to end get in the way?? I feel season 8 could have been soooo much better if a few things were changed.
1: the fight against the dead shouldn’t have been won in a single battle in a way that made no sense.. it could have been 2 episodes and require them to flee winterfell to regroup and then win. Plus Jon should have atleast fought the king white walker atleast once..
-
Danaeris should have had a much better reason for burning kings landing and all the innocents in it than just simply being evil. Even evil people have a motive..
-
Have someone else kill Danaeris as to not completely butcher jons honorable character that he was for 7.5 seasons. I would have chosen the assassin Arya as she was obviously pissed after seeing her burn all those innocents.
-
Have Jon be king as everyone loved him and him being a bastard his whole life would have been such a satisfying ending to it all rather than him simply getting shoved back to the wall after everything he had been through.. what was the point of it all??
-
Bonus that wouldn’t make sense but I still want, Jon gets drogon as the last Targaryen since Danaeris is dead or if not that. And if not this, have drogon go mad with sadness and then they have to deal with him as well rather than him simply flying off after his mother just died.

Carol's Claustrophobia
I was re-watching season 10 and it was the episode where Carol, Daryl, Jerry, Magna, Kelly, Aaron, and Connie were in the cave where Alpha's hoard was. It was when they were resting and Daryl asks Carol if she's claustrophobic and she asked how he knew. That sparked a memory from all the back to season 1 when there at the CDC. Jenner asked Carol if she was claustrophobic cause they were underground and she said yes.

[SPOILERS] What was the point of Bran Stark as a character?
In my opinion Bran really ruins the mood with him being so stoic and omniscient. What was Bran’s part in the story that really affected the story in a heavy manner? From what I see, everything would be similar to what happened in the show at least even if Bran wasn’t a character. I really found his parts in the shoe to be excruciatingly boring to the point that I always skip his parts. The only part I like was the Hodor part.

Lodge 49 is absolutely wonderful. Watch it. Bring it back
First off, watch it. You need to give it more than few episodes. I just completed season two of Lodge 49. It is, in many ways, the most wonderful show I have ever seen. I have watched countless hours of television and movies. I haven’t seen a show this good since Breaking Bad or Fawlty Towers.
This was a rare gem with depth, comedy, complexity and wonder. It probably struggled because of the slow unfolding of the story, but it is so incredibly great when you give it a chance. At first it was fine, but then unfolded into one of the best character driven, rag tag bunch, hilarious, fantastical shows with heart and so many great characters I have gotten to experience in this life. Please watch it. Please bring it back. Please make a movie to wrap it up. Please.... I just want to live in that world again for even a moment. If just not for another season, at least for the length of a movie. After you watch it, or if you already agree. Contact AMC, Hulu, Netflix etc and get them to pick it up. The world will be better for it

I gotta admit I had no idea what this show was going to be about. I’d heard of it but hadn’t really paid attention in case I wanted to watch it down the road. And it’s certainly not what I expected but it is entertaining and he just cracks me up.

Carol VS. Rick (4x4)
Looking back to 4x4.
Do you agree with Carol regarding killing Karen and David to keep the infection/sickness from spreading?
Or do you side with Rick with the act being wrong and keeping them around to see if they would get better?
I personally agree with Carol. Odds are with the rate people were dying, they wouldn’t have survived more than a day or so. Why keep them around to just make the spread of the infection even worse? They were already as good as dead. And at this time, they thought those two were the only ones who were infected. Thus, two lives ending vs the whole entire prison falling to the sickness.

[NO SPOILERS] David Benioff and D. B. Weiss (D&D), the writers of Game of Thrones, are actually good 'adaptation' writers and deserves a redemption project.
I agree the show's writing went south when D&D ran out of source material to adapt and that's not entirely their fault. BUT people kinda forget what D&D did from seasons 1 to 4, the peak of GoT. I haven't read the books yet so I can't tell if the first 4/5 seasons gave the books justice and I'm not entirely sure if the two of them are the only writers of the show.
From what I've read online, the majority of ASOIAF readers claimed they did a pretty good job adapting the books. Some went far as to say some characters i.e the Tyrells were handled much better in the shows than the books. For the first half of GoT's seasons they proved they can write great adaptations.
That's why I believe they should get more writing gigs for a chance of redemption. By "writing gigs" I mean writing book-to-tv adaptations, not originals. I am well-aware that's not a good decision on a business perspective but c'mon it's not like they're the only writers who messed up a show.

First time watching The Walking Dead
This will be my first time watching the actual show. I've played the game before, all four seasons and since they aren't coming out with anything new I've decided to get into this. From the game I loved Carley, Clementine, Lee, Lilly, Rebecca, Kenny & Jane. The only characters I have heard of from the show are Rick & Michonne.
Are there any tips to watching? Anything I should know before getting started? Characters that i'll like or hate? Episodes or seasons to be warned about etc.?

[SPOILERS] The Red Wedding
As much as the latter seasons of the show are bashed, I’d thought it’d be nice to take a trip down memory lane to one of my personal favorite episodes in all of Television: The Rains of Castamere. Upon my first viewing of the episode with not pre knowledge to what was to come, my jaw was disconnected from my face on the floor. I literally had to sit through the credits and beyond just to process what had just transpired. By far one of the most memorable moments of TV for me personally. I’m currently rewatching the show and as amazing as the episode is, nothing will come close to how over the top and surprising the first viewing of it was. But upon rewatching and looking back it’s all subtly laid out in front of us it’s a wonder I didn’t see how things were to unfold. Ignorance is bliss I guess and I truly hoped for a happy ending for the king in the north. Amazing episode

Just finished Justified for the first time. I'm blown away, what an amazing show.
Took me about 4 weeks between College work and I loved it, Timothy Olyphant and Walton Goggins are absolutely perfect in their roles and play off of eachother so well, this has been one of the few shows where from beginning to end I've never felt the need to pick up my phone.
I remember seeing something like a year ago on here claiming Olyphant was in talks to return for some kind of sequel show, any truth to this?
Edit: HELL YES! https://variety.com/2021/tv/news/justified-elmore-leonard-fx-city-primeval-timothy-olyphant-raylan-givens-1234905405/#

Soldiers killing uninfected people in a zombie apocalypse (discussion)
I have a friend who once said that he found it unrealistic that soldiers would fire on citizens in a zombie apocalypse. In pretty much every piece of zombie media I've ever seen; the soldiers fire on people as soon as shit starts really hitting the fan. To me, this makes perfect sense because the military offers prefer to take drastic actions to prevent catastrophes; and in a zombie apocalypse, everybody is a host for the virus and therefore potentially a threat. I think it makes sense that once the military is aware of the situation that is unfolding and global communications go down that they would start firing on people in an attempt to slow the spread. What do you think the military's response would be in a zombie scenario? Do you find it realistic that the military would fire on people?

Morgan is the worst
I’m watching TWD and I’m on season 6 episode 2. Basically Morgan and his no killing bullshit basically messes up everything. So many things could be avoided if he just killed people that were threats.. instead they live to kill more and more. Now he let like 6 of these people go and they’re more than likely going to come back and ruin everything.
I watch Fear and he does the same thing on there... this last season he started killing again but even the. He didn’t do what needed to be done June had to do it.

I got my 70 yr old mom into TWD and I’m afraid she’s going to kill me soon
So while watching Fear TWD not long ago, my mom caught interest; so once it finished it didn’t take much to convince her to watch the original The Walking Dead. This isn’t her normal type of show, but hella she’s into it, cause...how can she not. But she’s very animated and emotional. We’re well into season 6. She cried when she thought Glen died, lectured me when she found out he didn’t (why didn’t you tell me?!), and screamed at me when she thought he was about to be killed in the mid-season 6 premiere when he was rescuing Maggie. In the next several episodes Negan is introduced, and Glen is about to be...you know. For real this time. So all I ask is you pray for my safety. On the plus side I’m quite proud to have gotten a 70 year old sweet lady hooked on such a violent, wild zombie laden world. She’ll randomly present theories about TWD world to me throughout the day and we’ll binge a few episodes at night TLDR; glen’s about to die, and I’m worried I may too at the hands of my distraught 70 yr old mother

I enjoy Futurama more than The Simpsons.
I think Futurama manages to push the boundary of entertainment. Has some amazing characters, great plot lines, some funny moments, and some emotional, Futurama is a show that seems to get better and better.
I used to enjoy The Simpsons when it was in its golden age but the quality has started to decline over the years and started to become lazy.

[Spoilers] Escaping Winterfell
Was just having this discussion about how Theon and his men escaped Winterfell after sacking it. When Theon is talking to Maester Luwin the night before, he suggests Theon to run and to use the tunnels. Fast forward to the next day he gets clubbed in the head and knocked unconscious to which his men say “Let’s go home.” Keep in mind they are surrounded by Northen Soldiers. How did their caravan escape? I don’t imagine Theon shared the tunnels information with his men and I also doubt the siege let them pass. Also the next day Bran and company emerge from the crypt to a burned down Winterfell. What happened?

For All Mankind's season 2 just culminated in an amazing finale and I think everyone should watch this show
Season 1 trailer here for those unfamiliar. For All Mankind is the greatest TV show I've seen in many years and I highly encourage everyone to check it out. I understand that most people don't have an Apple TV+ subscription but there's a 7-day free trial and I really think it's worth checking out. Visit /r/ForAllMankindTV but beware of spoilers. You really don't want this show spoiled for you.

Why did Carol...
In "Find me" why did Carol think that Connie's death/disaperrance would be on Daryl?? She was the one who followed Alpha into the cave and also the one who set the dynamite?

Binge watching entire show for the first time!
Hi. Guess what...I'd never watched TWD ever until a few weeks ago when I decided to give it a try. I've been totally hooked since, often watching 3-4 episodes a night. It's brilliant and I am so invested in the characters it's insane. I just watched season 7, episode 1 and am a bit traumatised. WTF. What an incredibly tough episode to watch. I can't believe it.
Just wanted to share that. I won't be spending much time in this sub though, to avoid spoilers. But if anything bad (or more bad than already) happens to Daryl I don't know if I'll cope.
