They were together more and interacted with eachother a lot more and were caring for eachother more in these 4 episodes, these interactions started not even 2 episodes after Abraham broke up with Rosita. For example: Daryl got mad and punched Negan when he was taunting and yelling at Rosita. I feel like this is a thing the writers were going to do but decided to scrap it after Daryl was taken.
