On boxing day I bought my first 3 volumes of The Walking Dead to expand my horizons, I felt that I should read more. So on December 26th/19 I bought my first 3 volumes 2-5 my comic shop didn't have the first volume so I ordered it on Amazon, this series was an easy choice because I was a of the show until Negan killed the camera man (poor guy).
I heard the comics were way better than the show and after I read the first two volumes I was hooked and bought up to volume 7, until someone recommended the Compendiums so when I got back to work I ordered them and picked them up as soon as I traveled home that week.
I've never been into reading, books were always boring to me except The Walking Dead I was completely hooked, honestly I could've read the entire series in a month but my attention span isn't that great and I worked out of town, working 12 hour days on a 7 on 7off schedule so I took my time and read at my own pace.
So what are my feelings? I feel satisfied, I wish Rick didn't die like he did but it was to be expected his ark was completed there was nothing left for his character.
I wish there could've been more time for his send off, I wanted flash backs of all the friends and enemies he made over the years but I'm happy I got to see civilisation back to relative normal I was in tears when I saw him die but I felt happy seeing the pay off.
Just like I thought Sophia and Carl got together and had a baby together that was very fitting for Carl, it was nice to watch him grow up to be like his father but stronger.
I'm glad Michonne found her daughter and found peace she carried her guilt for so many years but that didn't stop her from rediscovering herself and made a better legal system. Maggie found her calling but screwed up her son, I cannot stand Hershel but I won't remember him that way he'll always be that baby that gave Maggie hope. That's what this series did well Robert Kirkman tied all the loose end up nicely.
Overall I give this series 10/10, I didn't like princess but that's my only complaint. I feel empty now, like I don't know what to read next luckily I bought Y:the last man omibus volume 1 a few months ago I can start it next week or I can continue Rick and Morty.
