As far as I'm aware, maesters are a Westeros thing. The closest "healer" person I can think of in Essos might be Mirri Maz Duur (the maegi), or the eunuchs in Drogo's khalasar.
What about in, say, Mereen or Yunkai? Is it also just eunuchs? I feel like the "healer" system should be more complex than that and I'm wondering if anyone knows basically what the Essos counterpart to maesters are.
