Mostly want to talk about Jimmy/Kim's story in this episode. It's a true glimpse of how much Jimmy really loves Kim. I
I think there was a lot of mixed reviews/feelings when this episode came out. While there were different reasons why people thought it was lacklastre and slow, a lot of people didn't like it because they wanted to see him become Saul instantly. They became impatient and frustrated when he decides that he wants to go back to being an upstanding, law-abiding lawyer, especially how the season 1 finale ended.
A lot of people didn't realize that he was doing it mainly because he really does love Kim. Jimmy knows that in order to have any sort of chance with Kim, he has to resort to "respectability". He has hope of Kim joining him in the pool and doing the crazy, schemes for a long time but he realizes that without her, back in the pool (After calling her twice without picking up), this life seems very lonely and depressing.
Its such a tragic and heartbreaking story, especially when you're hit with the black and white flash forwards for the 2nd time and you know how things are going to end.
This episode was great, especially on rewatch. Nacho's part of the story was engaging also (and hilarious). Fackin Wormwald and his baseball cards. Also, the switch at the end of the episode (anti climatic but very poignant and symbolic)
Anyone else love this episode?
