Mare of Easttown solidified for me that a traditional release schedule is superior to a binge release

I love a good binge, but a weekly cadence for a show like Mare is superior. It gives those who watch time to digest the episodes and discuss with others, whether they are in the room watching or strangers on the internet. It makes your mind think and develop thoughts and feelings for characters that you don't have the time to process in a traditional binge. And, it allows you to do it in a way where you know everyone else is in the same position of sleuthing and guessing what is going to happen next. I know when I binge a show I can try to look up a specific episode's subreddit thread, but you know there are people out there that are done and potential spoilers are around every corner. In the traditional release schedule, when you are watching in realtime, you don't have those fears.
