Hi all,
I've recently been reading Game of Thrones and thought I'd share an alternative short script idea for Season 8 which takes place during the battle between the living and the dead at Winterfell.
Enjoy!
> Final battle of humanity vs the dead at Winterfell
> Bran wargs into the past, being protected by Jaime Lannister and Brienne of Tarth
> White Walker stabs Brienne from behind, she lays on the ground screaming as snow begins to fall
> Cuts to a flashback of a young Jaime Lannister kneeling, with Arthur Dayne standing before him who says “In the name of the warrior, I charge you to be brave…”
> Jaime kills a WW, and the remaining wights suddenly stand still as the Night King slowly walks into scene [piano music begins to play]
> Cuts to a flashback of Arthur Dayne: “Do you swear to defend the innocent and the helpless, in the name of the Seven?”
> Jaime looks up from Brienne and sees the NK walking towards Bran
> Cuts to a flashback of young Jaime: “I swear it.”
> Jaime steps forward in front of Bran and draws Oathkeeper from Brienne, now aflame
> Remaining WW and wights watch on as NK attacks and fire and ice sword clash
> After a fierce battle, Jaime is eventually stabbed through the chest and falls down to his knees
> Bran in the past sees both Aerys Targaryen sitting alone the throne room in King's Landing and events happening in present day Winterfell
> Bran attempts to warg into the Night King which is witnessed by Aerys, linking both past and present
> Aerys looks on in horror and fear as he sees Winterfell being overrun by the dead, and shouts “Burn them all! Burn them all! BURN THEM ALL!”
> Bran realises what he has done, returns to the present and the NK suddenly regains control, as Jaime rises once more and thrusts the flaming Oathkeeper into his heart, exploding into ice
> Jaime stands momentarily and looks towards Bran before collapsing to the floor
> Brienne moves across to hold Jaime in her hands, his once handsome smile frozen looking up at her as tears fall down her face
