I think an interesting potential idea for the future would be to have a show that is multiple vignettes instead of following a group through a long story arc.
Each season might have 3-4 vignettes or even each episode could be a bottle episode. You could check in on different groups all over the world at different times throughout the ZA. How different people survive, if they become communities or stay small groups or individual survivalists, what they have to deal with, how they interact with other survivors, all sorts of crazy zombie kills, different weather & environments, what they call the zombies/walkers/biters/etc....
I started thinking about this after the John Dory FTWD bottle episode & then though about how much they already like to do so many bottle episodes. That way you aren’t anchored to a group & all their manufactured dramas. The show needs fresh ideas. Especially in a post Rick world.
Either way, hopefully season 9 is decent.
