[SPOILERS] The Spoils of War (S7E4) is one of the weirdest episodes of Game of Thrones

Yesterday I started watching Season Seven of Game of Thrones. I really liked Season 1-3, I still think that Season 4 is the best TV Season ever, I thought Season 5 was pretty good and I absolutely loved Season 6.

4 Episodes in Season 7, I don't feel the same "vibe" I felt in the other Seasons. There's just something missing in it, I don't know.
The pacing and narration is so fast, that it's becoming annoying. I mean, look at Seasons 1-6. There are like 4 big battles (Blackwater, Watchers on Wall, Hardhome & Battle of the Bastards), each of them has been built up for really long and the pay-off delivers. Now, I get it, the battle between the Lannisters and Daenerys is the one true big battle (outside of the White Walkers). But why is there an action scene and battle in nearly every episode? I have no investment if the Battles are coming so rapidly. For instance, The Reason Blackwater was so great, was because there was no battle for 18 episodes, and it was a great pay-off.

The weirdest episode for me is "The Spoils of War". In general I feel like Season 7 is moving so quickly, that all the different character meetings slowly lose their uniqueness. And then, again a battle. Random Dothraki and a Dragon attacking the Lannisters.

But what I found weird about that battle is that the show runners actually wanted ME, to root for Daenerys.

How can I root for the primitive random Dothraki or a fuck'n Dragon, when I've got to love Bronn & Jaime for over 6 Seasons?
Am I the only one who hates dragons? For me it takes all the great things about a battle; it's like hey, let's do this one sided and let the dragon destroy everything. How am I supposed to root for "the good" guys, if they're completely random people and animals, when "the bad" guys are far more likable and even the underdogs?

I don't know about you guys, but Season 7 has some really great fan service, but feels completely disappointing for me, and does not bring out the same feelings as the other Seasons.
