I think I have a prediction for the next season.

Vamanos Pest.

In 5.3 of Breaking Bad, Saul mentions he's been saving their collective ass for about 5 years. Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I think we could see Todd and the others somewhere in the future in some capacity.

Telltale Game Season 2: Precomic?

I heard there is some sort of precomic to The Walking Dead 2. My save file for the first season was corrupted. If I start Episode 1 of Season 2, it tells me it's going to randomize the decisions. But what's this I hear about going through some comic to make big picture decisions?

In season 2, when Skyler comes to Benecke's firm to apply for a data entry job.. The receptionist asks Skyler "when are you due ?" Seems risky per http://ift.tt/2nD3ZH0 - the receptionist is admitting she noticed. Is it likely the writers didn't know about the law ?

[EVERYTHING] I'm not too crazy about the idea of Tyrion being a Targaryen.

The idea of Aerys raping Joanna to spite Tywin, therefore making Tyrion potentially his son is I hope not true. Part of the reason Tyrion and Tywin are my two favorite characters in the show is that they both are so much like one another. Ever since I've started watching the show, I've loved dissecting their relationship and all the many ways they are like one another. They share an affinity and knack for politics, hoebags, and alliance-building. Also, the fact Tyrion is a Lannister has contributed SO much to his story that changing it near the end of show dismantles his struggles and washes away all the blood he has spilled for the family. No matter what Tywin wishes or wants, Tyrion is his son, and he is more like him than he'd like to admit.

Its a neat idea that is kind of fun to think about, but I don't want it to be more than that. The father/son dynamic is crucial to their characters and I don't want that to be taken from them.

Saul/Jimmy's client's from Breaking Bad, that I think could appear in Better Call Saul(minor spoilers for Breaking Bad)

Saul had some interesting clientele from Breaking Bad. Down below are some of Saul's client's that he mentioned in Breaking Bad. Some of which I believe could appear in Better Call Saul. Thoughts?

Breaking Bad episode 02x08

Spooge

Walt-I've been told that one of them killed another man by crushing his head with an ATM machine.

Saul/Jimmy-People love to take credit for the fun ones.

Saul/Jimmy-The guy who got his head smooshed used to be a client of mine.

Saul/Jimmy-His wife killed him, all right? It was open and shut.

Breaking Bad episode 02x08

James "Jimmy" Edward Kilkelly(Jimmy In-'N-Out)

Saul/Jimmy-1963 James Edward Kilkelly is convicted of stealing a vending machine. 1975, breaking and entering. 1982, grand theft auto. 1984, armed robbery. 1987, 1992, you get the idea, and here he is today, better known as "Jimmy In-'N-Out". City, state and federal, he's spent 44 of the last 58 years inside.

Walt-Entire life behind bars

Saul/Jimmy-Jimmy provides a very special service, for a price, Jimmy will go to prison for you.

Jesse- On purpose? The guy goes to prison on purpose?

Saul/Jimmy-He's actually more comfortable inside. The outside world hasn't been too kind to him.

Saul/Jimmy-Sometime during the Clinton administration Jimmy figured out how he could use his talents to turn a profit.

Breaking Bad episode 02x11

Hacker from Belarus

Walt-And now my son created his own website SaveWalterWhite.com, soliciting anonymous donations. Do you have any idea how that makes me feel?

Saul/Jimmy-Yeah, look at that. It's got PayPal and everything.

Walt-Cyber begging. That's all that is. Just rattling a little tin cup to the entire world.

Saul/Jimmy-Yeah, there's no deep-seated issues there. Walt, I'm looking at the answer right here. It's staring me in the face. Do I have to spell it out for you?

Walt-I know. I know. You're thinking that I should be funneling my money into my son's website, but absolutely not. I am not going to have my family think that some mystery benefactor saved us.

Saul/Jimmy-Not some mystery benefactor, singular. That would raise too many questions. However-- Stay with me here. --zombies. I got a guy, who knows this guy, who knows this Rain Man-type. He lives with his mother in her basement in Belarus, all right? So good luck extraditing his fat Russian ass.

Saul/Jimmy-Wait. He's a hacker-cracker extraordinaire. This guy can hijack random desktops all around the world, turn them into zombies that do his bidding. For instance, he can make it so 20 or 30,000 Iittle donations come in from all over the U.S. and Canada. 10, 20, 50 bucks a pop all paid in full, nice and neat, untraceable from the good-hearted people of the world to Mr. Walter H. White cancer saint. I'm getting a warm and fuzzy feeling just thinking about it.

Breaking Bad episode 05x03

  Ira, Sandor, Fernando, and Todd

Mike-Tell me about these guys.

Saul/Jimmy-Mr.Ponytail on the sidewalk, that's Ira. He's the owner. On the roof is Sandor. The ladder's Fernando, and down below, that's Todd. The pest control operation is legit. I mean, they're licensed, they're bonded. They do as good a job as anyone in town. But they're also top-drawer second-story men.

Walt-Second-story?

Saul/Jimmy-B and E artists. They're burglars. Yeah. I mean, hey, they play it smart. They don't boost anything while they're on the job. They copy the keys, locate the valuables and alarms and they sell that information to other crews. Or, after a decent interval, they'll come back and lift the goods themselves.

Mike-And you know them how?

Saul/Jimmy-Oh, I've been pulling their chestnuts out of the fire, legally speaking, for five years. Ira and his guys are good. I mean, they know how to keep their mouths shut. And if you buy them, they're gonna stay bought. You can check into them yourself.

Mike-I will, if it comes to that.

Just finished watching Confessions. Man, everything could have worked out so nicely for Jesse if only...

... He hadn't sparked up in Saul's office. He was set to tie up loose ends with Walt, get out of town before the heat got too hot, and start a new life in Alaska. For whatever reason he had to be a dick and fire up a doob in Saul's office which as we all know leads to Huell picking his pocket, Jesse ditching the vacuum repair guy, and eventually Jesse's enslavement by Uncle Jack and the gang.

I mean yeah, he made some bad decisions prior and a lot of it was because he was being manipulated by Walt, but it just seems like if he hadn't decided to make that one particular bad choice, he could have had a much happier ending.

Your thoughts?

Edit: watched that scene again just cuz, and if I'm not mistaken, Jesse doesn't light up just because he's being a dick. He does it because Saul mentions Walt leaving him a bit of money. Jesse is so fucked up with PTSD that even the mention of Mr. White causes him lose it and I guess the weed was to help calm the jitters. Damn, that's fucked up to think about!

[COMIC] Unpopular Artwork Opinion

Out of curiosity I looked through posts here and some old message boards to see if people found the initial switch from Tony Moore to Charlie Adlard. There seemed to be the same short adjustment period before accepting Adlard that I went through.

But I was shocked to see a majority preferring Adlard to Moore. I feel like Moore's art made for an easier read and better character differentiation. I'd agree Adlard does mesh with the tone very well but Moore's issues made me feel like I was in a black and white horror movie and his zombies all felt like individuals. You really empathize with Rick in those first issues.

Not to dump on Adlard or Kirkman for bringing him on board. Adlard's style and production time matched well with Kirkman's vision for the series. It's just those early issues are magic.

I wanted to know if the games are canon,when/where they fit in the comics timeline(if possible,no major spoilers since I never read the comics). The series I know that is kinda based on comics but with some changes(that makes the series non-canon?)

[MAIN SPOILERS] Why didn't Tywin re-marry after his wife, Joanna, passed away?

Tywin always boasted about continuing the family line, if he'd had his own way, Cersei would have re-married after Robert died.

From what I've gathered, Joanna died when Jaime and Cersei were fairly young, I'm assuming mid to early teens, so why didn't he just re-marry so he could have more children? I'm pretty sure he loved his wife, because she was his cousin after all, but I think he cared more about his family name continuing. After all, he did want to build a dynasty?

Just some food for thought I guess, but it's suggested that Jaime and Cersei are in their 40's in the show, which would have meant Tywin was in his 30's or approaching that age when his wife passed. It just seems fairly logical for him to find another woman in order to have more children.

25 things that could've gone wrong... [SPOILERS]

25 things that could've gone wrong in the finale:

  1. Walt could've been caught by the police while in the car outside the bar
  2. The owner of car could've taken the keys OUT of the car
  3. While on the phone with Walt, the Schwartz's secretary (or whoever it was) could've asked for proof that Walt worked for the newspaper
  4. The Schwartz's new house could've had better security to prevent Walt from getting inside the property
  5. While getting the money from Walt's car, either Elliot or Gretchen could've activated some sort of silent alarm to alert the police
  6. Badger and Skinny Pete could've not been available or in ABQ, leaving Walt without his two "hitmen"
  7. Lawson (the arms dealer) could've refused to sell stuff to Walt since he's so high-profile
  8. Walt could've not been able to find all of the perfect parts to make his turret
  9. Walt could've just not known how to make a turret for some reason
  10. Walt could've been spotted by the police while sneaking into Skyler's new apartment
  11. Walt could've just not found out where the apartment was
  12. Walt Jr./Flynn could've spotted him while walking to the door (there's a solid three seconds where they're facing each other from opposite sides of the window of the laundry building)
  13. Lydia and Todd could've met up LITERALLY any other day at any other location
  14. Walt could've straight up been killed right when he pulled up to the gate of the Nazi hideout
  15. The clubhouse could've been in a more secluded area of the hideout, making it impossible for Walt to park his car in an optimal location
  16. The guy who takes out Walt's wallet and keys could've accidentally pressed the button on the key, making the gun go off and not killing all of Jack's guys
  17. Walt could've been asked to pop the trunk
  18. At virtually ANY moment between Walt getting his keys taken away and him getting them back, he could've been killed
  19. Jack could've not given a shit about Walt saying "you partnered with Jesse" and just had his guys take Walt out back and kill him
  20. Todd could've turned the tables on Walt and Jesse instead of looking out the window like a five-year-old
  21. The gate that Jesse drove the car through could've not busted open, much like the scene in Logan
  22. Lydia could've not called Todd at that exact moment, preventing Walt's satisfying last words to her
  23. The police could've caught Jesse as he was speeding out
  24. Walt could've not been shot at all by his contraption
  25. Walt could've not died after being shot

Things that actually went wrong in the finale:

1.

Yo Reddit! Executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg here to discuss the new season of Preacher on AMC. Come back today at 1:30 PT/ 4:30 ET – Drop any questions you have about Preacher in the comment box. We’ll also be releasing an exclusive scene from episode 3 so don’t forget to stop by.

Ask executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg anything about AMC’s Preacher. Based on the popular cult comic book franchise of the same name, Preacher is an absurdly twisted and action-packed thrill ride. When Jesse Custer, a small-town preacher with a criminal past, realizes God is absent from Heaven, Jesse sets out to find Him. Along for the ride are Tulip, Jesse’s volatile true love, and Cassidy, a 119-year-old Irish vampire, who is Jesse’s best mate. The gang ends up in New Orleans, where they must dodge local gangsters, dangerous secret agents in white suits, and the Saint of Killers, an unstoppable murderous cowboy from Hell. http://ift.tt/2t1xPYp

I have a small issue with Bryan Cranston's facial expressions....

As the episodes and seasons progress, a minor annoyance that I have with the show is how blatantly guilty Cranston portrays Walt with his facial expressions, with no one really catching on - especially Hank. Certainly, in real life, Walt wouldn't grimace and shift his face that much, and if he did - he'd certainly be questioned about it much more thoroughly, especially by Hank. Once you notice this little detail problem, it's hard not to notice. An example of Gilligan and Cranston trying too hard. Annoying.

I do not recall any majorly immoral act committed by Rick Grimes or his people. The attack on the satellite outpost well let's face it they were part of a hostile and bullying organization and Rick had every right and reason to preemptively strike them. Am I missing something here? Why do some view Rick as the bad guy here? The guy has been nothing but a good and balanced leader! PS, I'd surely appreciate refraining from humorous remarks that don't contribute to the discussion.

Walt is the only character besides Jesse who is not shown wearing a blue ribbon pin in rememberance of those who died in the crash.

Also, Walt is actually the one who caused Jane to choke (inadvertently), by moving her from her side to her back as he tries to rouse Jesse.

Quick question on S3E13

When Walt and Jesse burn the superlab down, they make sure to wipe the controls of the entrance so their prints couldn't be lifted.

However Jess doesn't wipe the power controls which he previously touches in the Fly episode.

Surely they would have checked for prints on the power switches, especially the ones they now know control the superlab's power, and they already have Jesse's prints on system from previous crimes.

Is this just a throwaway plot point that was missed or is there another explanation?

Master Of None. Blown away by Season 2.

I am a hardcore Scrubs fanatic. It is my favorite TV show of all time but I just binged watch season 2 of "Master of None" and (to me) I really feel like it is the most perfect season of any tv show. And I also LOVE Leftovers season 2 and 3 (series finale was brilliant). But I have to rant.......Season 2 of "Master of None" was just....I couldn't pick a flaw, at all. It's just a very sweet show that doesn't take itself too serious and also makes sure it doesnt fall into the whole american (i live in the us) 8 season routine. I could not help but smile and laugh with each episode. Episode 1 was amazing...it was an homage to 'bicycle theives' and even had the same scenes: you had the 'chubby' kid and something was stolen and they were in an alley and a cop came by (just like the movie, if you've seen it). and after that it was just amazing...and his love interest....so damn amazing....i need to learn Italian.

That's it. This is a rant. But jesus....this season 2 was just perfect. perfecto.

Overrated and underated characters in FTWD

Reading many comments on Reddit, I get the feeling that many new and old characters are overrated or underestimated without considering their plot lines or the development or growth of those characters. I can think of a couple of them ... in your opinion, Is there any character that seems overrated or underated so far?

I see lots of people who think he could have survived, but I find that theory bogus. It really detracts from the significance of the finale and Walt's story arc as a whole for him to have survived.

[EVERYTHING] Dan accidentally dropped Dany dragon spoilers in the Time interview

In the new Time article on GOT, Dan remarks on Emilia Clarke's hardship in acting out scenes on the mechanical dragon:

"It probably feels a bit less amazing to Emilia, who sits on it for eight hours a day, six weeks in a row, getting blasted with water and fake snow and whatever else they decide to chuck at her through the fans.”

Dragons in the north confirmed. Pretty sure it doesn't snow at Dragonstone.

Maybe it's not all that unexpected, but it's something!

S03E07 "Expenses" - A Wallpaper I Wanted to Make for a Long While

Hey guys, I always thought this first shot in which Saul awaits his first hours of community service was really powerful. I think there is a great wallpaper somewhere in this album I made, but I lack the Photoshop skills to truely make it work.

Any feedback or recommendations as to what more I could do with it (even just a higher quality source) would be most appreciated. If one of you would take the time to edit it themselves, that would be even greater.

EDIT: I uploaded the wallpapers specifically in*.png format, but Imgur decided to fuck with them anyway. Does anyone have a suggestion for a lossless hosting service?

What, in your opinion, is the most iconic scene in TV history?

Some of my favorites:

  • Walt's phone call conversation with Skylar in Ozymandias(Breaking Bad)

  • The 5 minute tracking shot in True Detective

  • Avon and Stringer Bell arguing/fighting in the Wire

  • The Red Wedding in GOT

  • Season 2 opener of Lost that introduces us to Desmond and the hatch

I'm sure I'm missing dozens of others. Please note I'm in my mid 20s so unfortunately I don't have as much knowledge about the previous classics(MASH, Sopranos, Deadwood, Six Feet Under etc.) What in your opinion is the most iconic scene?

Obviously nothing will replace Parks and Rec but Brooklyn 9-9 is definitely the next up and comer.

Parks and Rec is in a league of its own and created some of the best, most in-depth characters ever written but now something has to fill the giant shadow Knope and the gang have left on the television landscape. I believe Brooklyn 9-9 is the show to take on that role. Funny, witty, fast-paced, bright - qualities of the show that made us fall in love with PandR. Thoughts?

My Season 4 Prediction for BCS!

My prediction is that Jimmy, being a washed-up lawyer, becomes a physical ed coach for a little league team. Embracing his inate ability to destroy everything around him, he starts sabotaging the other teams around them. They almost win the national championship but a kid on the team sees that Saul is a cheater and gets the team disqualified.

Saul secretly confronts the kid about why he snitched on the team. He says that it is wrong and that his father wouldn't like it. Saul meets the kid's father who turns out to be Walter White. Seeing Walter White's saddened life inspires Saul to stop being a 2-bit criminal and go into the underbelly of the town with Gus through Mike.

And that is the plotline verified by Vince Gilligan himself. It's legit. :p

Watching Breaking Bad After First Seeing Better Call Saul, I Hope We See More Of The Goodman In Action

I know people here are talking like we have to choose between which child we send out back behind the shed, but idealistically I really want to see the sleazebag solicitor in action.

The projected outlook we have here is at least 2 more seasons. In those two seasons we still have to axe Kim and Nacho (potentially,) get Ehrmantraut under Fring's payroll, and tie off the end to Gene's story.

After just having seen Saul make a joke out of Jeese's parents and their lawyer, I can't say I'd be happy to skip seeing more stuff like that, and the more heinous things like his crate of medical braces. This is the guy I have been waiting to see for months, the guy the whole show is supposed to be leading up to like he's Ganon or something, and Breaking Bad doesn't nearly give you that fix if that's what brought you to it. Unfortunate consequence of having such a kickass prequel I suppose.

I might sound like I'm rambling, but getting down to brass tacks, I believe that seeing Saul Goodman the lawyer in action for at least a half season isn't asking too much. In a perfect world, I think 3 seasons would be optimal. Season 4 gets Kim out of the picture. Season 5, Saul Goodman racks up clientele, slowly gaining more and more traction until it ends with Mr. Mayhew walking into the doorframe. Season "6" (Could be a 5a 5b situation) deals with Gene. I don't see Gene taking too much time but who knows what's planned that's why I added that in parentheses.

Hope this wasn't too much reading, would love to bounce ideas off other minds.

Why are there still walkers around after years have passed ?

Since the zombies don't reproduce, there must be a point where they are all out of commission ? If, let's say, only 1% of the population survives, that means for every survivor there are 99 zombies. Even with a killing rate as low as 1 zombie/person/day on average it only takes a bit over 3 months to get rid of the entire zombie population. We can take it to a ratio of 1 survivor for 1000 zombies, that is still only 2 years and 9 months to get rid of all of zombies. We see the survivor plowing through zombies all the time for years but they still encounter huge herds. Am I missing something here ?

[Everything]After rewatching this scene, I feel like I understand why Sansa didn't tell Jon...

About The Knights of the Vale.

the scene

Sansa listens intently to the three men talking. She takes note when Davos says that it is "crucial" that they wait for Ramsay to advance on them, that they need to have patience. She looks at Jon when he tells Tormund that he only challenged Ramsay to a one-on-on "to make him angry." Sansa knows Ramsay isn't going to fall for that. She knows their plan won't work because Jon is underestimating Ramsay. She tells Jon exactly that but he doesn't get it. She tries to explain that Ramsay doesn't fall for traps, he sets traps. Jon blows her off.

It make so much sense to me now that she wouldn't tell him about TKOTV. She knows that Jon doesn't have enough men, patience, or understanding of his opponent. She knows he can't win like this but he sees no other option. TKOTV aren't numerous enough to turn the tide against Ramsay's army, but they are more than enough to save Jon's army when they get trapped, which Sansa knows they will.

She might feel badly afterwards that she didn't tell Jon, but it's a damn good thing she didn't. I don't think it would have changed Jon's plan much, especially because you never REALLY know if you can trust Littlefinger. Would Jon have changed the entire plan because TKOTV are maybe coming? Nah. Sansa knew they were more valuable held in reserve to swoop in when Jon inevitably leads his army into Ramsay's trap.

[SPOILERS]How great were Eastman & Morgan together?

I initially was pissed that they would do a Morgan iso (flashback) episode immediately after the cliffhanger with Glenn & the dumpster. But then I really started to pay attention to the 2 remarkable characters inter acting with each other on the screen in front of me & I was blown away. The dialogue was outstanding & the performances by both men were top notch. There was something almost spiritual about "Here's Not Here". The transformation of a broken, defeated, killer of a man, then becoming a peaceful, gentle human being again really touched me. On a re watch just yesterday I actually had to break out the tissues cause of the tears flowing. Anyone else love this episode as much as me?

[MAIN SPOILERS] Anyone else miss a certain Baratheon? I miss that man.

Tried to not be too obvious in the title, to avoid Spoilers.

I really miss Stannis. He wasn't exactly my favorite character... but he had depth, and shades of grey. GoT characters tend to either have "good motivations" or "evil motivations"... not too much grey. Even a sometimes morally ambiguous character like the Hound. His intentions tend to be either good, or evil at any given moment

Stannis was so much fun to watch, struggle with what was right and wrong, his place in this world, what he is owed and what was his duty. Stannis, maybe more so than any other character was often Right for the Wrong Reasons, or Wrong for the Right Reasons... and that was interesting.

I feel the show is a little worse with him not in it.

From flashbacks we see that the day Jimmy received his letter confirming he'd passed the bar, he visits Chuck in his office and we see that Chuck is still completely normal and functioning well.

Madison as a leader (season 3 spoilers)

I find fascinating how Madison goes from completely powerless and depending on the Ottos' mercy to slowly but surely seizing power.

First she started helping the community and getting along with Jeremiah. Then once she found out Troy's backstory she used it against him (in the latest episode) to prove to his partners what a wildcard and a possibly dangerous individual he is as opposed to her calmer and more logical approach.

I also like the contrast to Rick getting into leadership either by brute force or by just fighting one way or another.

As long as the Otto community survives long enough, I can see Madison leading it come next season.

Marie. Why the hate?

I see people hating on Marie for being a kleptomaniac but that is a mental illness. Would you hate on her if she was bipolar or depressed or schizophrenic? Because it's no different. They are all genuine medical conditions.

She gets hate for being happy when walt is finally caught( I don't really see it tbh). He is a meth kingpin who put the entire family in danger, especially her niece and nephew whom she adores. He blackmailed Hank and threatened to ruin his career (hell he gets hank killed in the end). Where is she wrong? Walt is a monster by the end, he brings ruin to his family.

Anyways, just some thoughts. I don't care that she is hated I'm just curious as to why.

Is it very bad when fanfiction ends like that?

Walt's intention by saying this

In Felina, when Skyler says "You look terrible", Walt nods and replies "But I feel good". Is he saying he feels somewhat distanced or relieved from guilt/remorse?

Contrast this with one of his next lines, where he says something to the effect of "I did it for me. I was good at it. It made me feel...alive".

What's your take on this?

Kim is definitely gone well before Breaking Bad

I'm re-watching Breaking Bad, now in episode 4 of season 3, and Saul has just told Walt "I caught my second wife screwing my stepdad". I also saw a deleted Breaking Bad scene in which Saul tells Walt that he's "been married and divorced three times".

So Jimmy must have a busy few years between 2003 and 2010, romantically speaking. If he marries Kim, it's brief, or else she has got to leave him soon and he marries and divorces 2-3 other women in rapid succession.

If Kim sticks around much longer, then it's gonna be a plot hole.

Chuck's "Chicanery" monologue vs Jimmy's insurance monologue

Everybody's deservedly raving about Michael McKean's performance, specifically when he goes off the rails. But I find that in many ways, Jimmy's "breakdown" at the insurance company is arguably a performance of the same level. He has to find the right balance between being believable to an outsider (insurance officer) AND the audience (who's not in on his scheme) for the beginning of the monologue, and gradually making it more comical until the viewer realizes what he's doing. It's a really precise, nuanced performance, and in its controlledness is the reverse of Chuck's gradual loss of self-control during his rant. Which performance do you rate more?

[Spoilers] Were Mike and Stacey on friendly speaking terms in "Breaking Bad"?

I might be confused, but I seem to recall next to no scenes with Stacey in Breaking Bad. In fact, I seem to recall some distance between Mike and Stacey. I remember thinking that she learned about his criminal activities and resented him for it.

Am I just misremembering here? I seem to recall Mike waiting outside Stacey's house in his car, and getting an unwelcome glare from Stacey.

[EVERYTHING] The "Sansa Walking" scene from the recent trailer... We've seen it before.

I just rewatched Battle of the Bastards, and as Sansa is walking away as RamsBolt gets eaten by the dogs, it looks almost identical to her 'walking away' scene in the S7 trailer. I've seen people point out that it looks like someone is bent over, dying in the background (probably Littlefinger), and I think it makes perfect sense. Just like with Ramsey, Sansa will cause the death of someone who has brought pain and suffering upon her, walk away as they die, and rip a smirk once she realizes she beat them.

Do we really need to feel sad about Saul?

Slippin’ Jimmy from Cicero was a low-life with no prospects.

James McGill Esq lived in a utility closet of a nail salon. The best thing he had going for him was that he was unaware of how much his brother hated him.

Jimmy McGill, the elder law attorney, has his professional life in better shape. The best thing going for him is his relationship with Kim, a person who genuinely understands and appreciates him. However, the central figure in Jimmy’s life is still Chuck. Jimmy now knows that Chuck hates him, and has to endure horrible treatment from Chuck, including the sabatoge of his professional life. And he’s about to find out that Chuck died a horrifying, suffering death.

Whatever you think about Saul Goodman, it’s clear that Saul doesn’t care what you think. He lives by his own rules, and by his own definition his practice is very successful. He is free from all the guilt and stress that comes with a mentally ill family member. He doesn’t appear to be pining over Kim (whether that means she is still in his life or not).

Remember that Gene cheered himself up by watching his BCS commercials, not with photos of Kim or Chuck. And remember “SG was here.” Those were his happy years.

Scrubs and the Authenticity it's 'World'

Honestly, after rewatching a good majority of it, Scrubs barely feels like a sitcom in its production. The actual sets feel dynamic instead of...well like a set. Where as shows like Friends, How I Met Your Mother, That 70s Show, Seinfeld, Big Bang Theory, Last Man Standing and most others, have one or two perspective sets, Scrubs makes use of so many different angles and shots that almost make it feel like it's being filmed in an actual hospital or apartment. Though we see certain rooms over and over again, the use of multiple angles helps keep it from being repetitive. Even apartment shots have setups that covers what feels like the entire room instead of creating a back wall and that's it. Scrubs doesn't feel like a production, even though it clearly is and it fascinates how much care and effort actually went into making this show feel and look authentic. I can't emphasize how much I appreciate this. Though I know medical dramas have more or less the same set up, excluding a few that come to mind, it's rare to see Sitcoms go through so much effort to implement diversity in shots. I've gotten so use to the one or two stage setup in recent years that feel the need to make only a few complex scenes and then just fly-by-the-seat-of-their-pants for the rest. Scrubs, though centralized in mostly one place, has some much variety within its rooms and it's a shame things like this don't get noticed often. It's not that the trend of one/two perspective sets are a bad thing but it, to me, feels so much less admirable than what this show did years before. Just thought I'd share some love for a show that's now long gone.

Will Jimmy Get Chuck's Hamlin Payout?

If Chuck dies in the fire, and is now divorced is Jimmy the only heir? Obviously, Chuck hoped to eventually patch things up with his wife, so she's probably named as heir in his will. However, Jimmy could legally claim that he became the sole provider for his brother after she left.

Per the agreement, the firm owes Chuck for his partnership, so does this now fall to Jimmy, or does HHM get a free pass? Howard made the formal announcement in front of the firm so I assume their agreement is official on paper.

Also, do we think Gene is still waiting for the Sandpiper settlement? Could he be hoping to stay hidden long enough to collect the settlement and hopefully buy his way to freedom in the Heisenberg case? They made a big deal this season about class-actions taking 'years.'

Show quality

I almost gave up on this show after last season and the beginning of this season but I've been watching since the beginning so I powered through. I'm really glad I did, the rest of this season has been amazing. I might be liking it more than last season's twd.

Travis death was unexpected and I didn't like him much as an actor. Meanwhile most these new actors are killing it and the directing of this season has been superb. It all feels like it's heading somewhere finally. I think this shows really coming into its own and its figured out what it wants to be.

SPOILER: S2E2 Breaking Bad: Tuco

I posted earlier about another prediction about Krazy-8 earlier. Continuing on the Breaking Bad rewatch, Hank talks about Tuco during his briefing when they're going after him. Apparently Tuco knifed a Mexican national back in 2003.

What if the Mexican national he knifed was none other than Nacho?

Just a thought. I'm gonna keep paying attention to these DEA briefing that Hank leads because I think they may be the key to a lot of upcoming stuff in BCS.

I finished Breaking bad yesterday evening.

I just finished breaking bad 12 hours ago, and I don't know what I should do right now. I feel so empty inside, because you could consider this show as part of my life. I started watching it 3 years ago with season one, then 3 years later I continued, and here I am.

I miss it so much, I think even mostly how it was produced. This a little bit blurred narrow angle camera, those shots. I haven't seen a other series with this character, except Better Call Saul. Maybe the X-files.

I think a lot of you had this feeling, tell me please what you did, or watched after it.

Jane: "Hey, if you're trying to sell me something I've got 4 little words for you: Do Not Call List. However, if you're cool, leave it at the beep."

Kettlemans: "Hello, you've reached Team Kettleman! Please leave a message for Craig.. Betsy! Warren! and Jojo... AFTER THE BEEP!"

Finished the series today

Just finished watching the series and I have no words to describe what a roller coaster ride it was. I loved all the characters (mainly Saul), it was beautifully shot, and overall was just a beautiful storyline with all the parallels and foreshadowing! I do feel most sympathetic for Jesse and wished he could've gotten out the business sooner. S/o to my boyfriend for the recommendation and now I am ready to take on Better Call Saul!

Was anyone else very angry with that Walt phone call in Season 5

I love this show but sometimes the things the characters say are too real. It's I guess a testament to the writers that I feel actual anger at the audacity of some of these characters' lines and flippant demands. I'm rewatching a few episodes at a time now and particularly that phone call between Walt and Skylar where Walt has taken Holly and everyone's upset about it. The fact that it was later revealed to be part of Walt's plan just makes me more upset about it.

Honorable mention goes to Hospital Jesse and his stupid monologue about how he'll ruin Hank. I hate that one too.

I'm watching Arrested Development, and Charlize Theron's character in season 3 is one of my favourite characters of all time.

I cannot believe that an Oscar winning actress would be in a comedy with relatively poor viewership where she played a British woman with the mind of a child. Everything she does in the show is ridiculous.

The scene where George Michael shows Michael a video of her eating the fake fruit, and then her showing Michael her tiny teddy is one of my favourite scenes from the show.

[Everything] S3 E8 Tyrion and Sansas scene, only two characters showed any kindness...

As Joffery is walking Sansa down the aisle to Tyrion all the attendees looked at her with derision, except for Margery and... Bronn. As she is walking through Bronn looks side to side and see the palpable hatred, he then locks eyes with Sansa and gives a half bow. Margery gave a smile at the end.

I propose that Bronn is actually a big softy and actually cares tremendously for Tyrion and also anyone he views as ill used.

I submit for the courts consideration in this matter..

The afformentioned scene

His visit to Tyrion's cell

His deleted scene with Shae

And I'm sure others that aren't leaping to mind.

A closer look at Chuck's words to Jimmy...

I've been thinking a lot about Chuck since that ending. I get the whole "Fuck Chuck", especially as this last season progressed more and more. But there is something that has always had me sympathizing with him.

I rewatched the season 3 finale, and I started to think about Chuck saying those words he said to Jimmy, but to himself:

"You're telling me that you have regrets and I'm telling you don't bother. What's the point? ... You're just going to keep hurting people. ... If you're not going to change your behavior, and you won't, why not just skip the whole exercise?"

I think Chuck regrets what happened with HHM. But he's too prideful, too dug in, to admit it. He won't change his behavior, and he knows that -- could have, but he didn't. He felt he was RIGHT. And he stuck to that course. I think of Howard's outburst at Chuck, "This is pointless."

"In the end, you're going to hurt everyone around you. You can't help it."

He's hurt Howard by staying the course of being "right". He's hurt Jimmy. Unsure of what happened between Rebecca, but I don't think it's outrageous to believe there's shades of that as well to their demise.

"So stop apologizing and embrace it. Frankly, I'd have more respect for you if you did."

Different here, as Jimmy does apologize but Chuck never does. But I think of "embrace it". Is his way of embracing it killing himself, because he CAN'T admit he was wrong, he has to stay that course of being right all the time? Pride is his downfall?

Why does Skyler give Walt a kiss in s2e8 ?

About 10 minutes into the episode, right before she leaves for work in the morning (not long after getting her old job back). The kiss - as formal as it may be - doesn't fit the pattern of their season 2 relationship, where Skyler is perpetually mad at Walter for keeping things from her, and where she takes every opportunity to make her displeasure known.

Is it implied that getting her old job back makes Skyler feel much better about everything around her, including even Walt ?

Jerry Seinfeld was planning on making an episode of Seinfeld all in claymation, until someone told him Tim Allen did something similar on Home Improvement, so he backed out, and regrets it to this day

In this interview at the Vulture Festival, someone asks Jerry about stories he wanted to do but didn't. He said he regrets not going through with a claymation episode they had secretly planned, after someone told him Home Improvement did something along the same lines and didn't want to be seen as copying them. He still wishes he had done it. Would have been cool to see.

Sorry people someone removed the original discussion here. Just what's going on here I am not putting spoilers in my sentences what ever Reddit is doing I want it to stop

My thoughts on Rick killing Negan with Lucille that's what I want too. But what should they with the body? I believe Rick should burn his remains and use Lucille as a torch and have everyone who wants to watch see the evil remains erased from this world so no one has to see this enormously evil man ever again. I'm not saying like this is a cameo from star wars I'm saying that is what they should do to someone this evil in the show. So what do you people think?

Miscellaneous question: About a writing terminology which is told by Bryan Cranston in BB podcast.

I guess it was 310, episode fly.(or not. because I can't sure if it's the right thing.) As a usual Kelley and Vince and their gangs talked to each other about the episode, making progression etc. And in the middle of story-talking Bryan said a "certain word" that depict writing or plot structure. I remember it was about beginning part meeting ending part just like episode 310, fly. This episode begins with the scene of Walter on beds, staring the ceiling and closes with the same scene but the only difference is Walter was watching the fly directly.

Describing them, Bryan used a "certain word" which is I don't recall. If you don't understand what I say, think about 'Bottle episode' they said in a podcast. It's like a 'Bottle episode' thing. That is the question. I recall some part of the word, like a tail or something. Like biting own tail? I don't know... I can't remember... I need this word remember!(Actually, I don't 'need' need. Just dying to know lol.)

PLEASE HELP ME.

Plenty has already been said about the proximity of these two houses but...

the angle of that final shot of Chuck's house when the flames take hold is a direct line of sight from the rear windows of Jesse's aunt's house. You can go to 35°05'16.6"N 106°39'56.9"W on Google Maps and play around with it. Coincidence or deliberate?

So...

Either its

  1. The producers are teasing the fanboys.

  2. It's purely a location scouting coincidence. They found a suitable house with agreeable owners and they just happened to live around the corner from the house they used in BB. Plus crews like working in familiar areas.

  3. Something cool will happen at the start of next season.

If it's deliberate, the possibilities could include:

A cameo from Jesse's aunt.

Response to the fire from APD or DEA that just so happened to be staking out Jesse.

Jimmy driving to Chuck's house in a panic and being stopped at a roadblock near Jesse's aunt's house.

Really loving this series

I dont understand the hate it gets from some fans. Walking Dead seems to get more cartoonish and silly and the walkers are pretty much window dressing at this point. This season especially has a kind of day of the dead feel which is my favourite romero movie. And though i could use more zombie action, when they show up they still feel like an actual threat.

The zombie apocalypse was the best thing to happen to Troy

Otherwise, I'm convinced he would have turned into a serial killer. An alcoholic and neglectful father, a mother who resented and hated him even when he was nursing her at the end of her life. A wild, seemingly psychopathic personality that breeds in violence.

Although there isn't really a "perfect formula" for serial killers, he seems to check a lot of the boxes. And his history and personality is reminiscent of someone like Ed Kemper (abusive mother), Richard Ramirez (love of violence and growing up around it), Ted Bundy (charismatic when he wants to be), or Jeffrey Dahmer (neglectful parents, fascination with death)

He drove a beater, had a nice but not extravagant house in a cheap city, and had no apparent vices. Knowing what we do about the money he was pulling in via his restaurants and his empire, why did he choose to live in a way with so few expenses? Was he just making a rainy day fund worth billions?

What are the cops going to think??

After first I thought that the cops would just think that Chuck's house burning down was a tragic accident because of the lantern. Then after I rewatched it I saw that all of Chuck's stuff was all over the yard. This is something that is obviously going to get the investigator's attention

Is there a list or anything of what we know inspired Better Call Saul in terms of other media?

I know of The Caine Mutiny and The Conversation but nothing else. I've been wanting to cover anything that's inspired the series (and even Breaking Bad, why not) since I have so much time to kill until season four.

[No spoilers] I think I've got the weirdest theory of all time

Gus, Mike, Jimmy are played by three actors who already were part of a show called Breaking Bad.

So i figured, and I know this sounds really ridiculous:

Better call Saul and Breaking Bad share the same universe and Jimmy will become Saul Goodman (hence "Better call Saul", really clever title if you think of it because that's what Saul Goodman always sad in Breaking Bad!)

I would lose my mind if that turns out to be true.

[EVERYTHING]What are some character meetings you would dearly like to see in GoT Season 7 & 8?

With more than a fortnight to go for the first episode to air, I have been, almost subconsciously, picturing some of my favorite characters meet each other, hoping they really come together on the show. Here's my list in no specific order:

1-Arya and Cersei 2-Jaime, Cersei, and Bran 3-Tyrion and Jon 4-Varys and Littlefinger (I doubt this will happen) 5-Tyrion and Ser Davos 6-Dany and Jaime 7-Jaime and Tyrion (obvious suspect) 8-Jon and Arya (obvious suspect)

To summarize - all Arya reunions, all Tyrion reunions. I would love to see the living Stark-Lannister ensemble from S01E01-Winterfell come together again. That would be some high (Oh you never know though... with GoT). What other pairings would be really interesting to see?

For me it's a hard toss-up between S2E2 Grilled and S5E16 Felina. [Everything] Can we talk about something serious? Namely how Ser Pounce is being cheated from screentime.

Hi

Non-native english speaker so sorry if my grammar is off but I can't hold this in. Ser Pounce has gotten ONE SCENE so far... one... scene. I just watched the Alt-Shift-X's video here and tbh even if it doesen't turn out to be true, I still think D&D needs to at least add one more scene with Ser Pounce.

I read that Ser Pounce was hard to work with here. But still... there are tons of actors in Hollywood that are "hard to work with" and still land good roles. I don't see why it should be different for Ser Pounce tbh.

Thoughts?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but Stefan Karl's (Robbie Rotten) cancer is now terminal. He is expected to only have days left.

I watched Lazy Town as a kid and enjoyed watching it. It was still interesting to know that it came back only a couple years ago. It was funny to see all of the We Are Number One meme videos sprouting up on YouTube, but it was saddening to find that the reason behind it was due to Robbie Rotten's actor, Stefan Karl, having been diagnosed with Cancer. It was a breath of relief when I found out that he had beaten Cancer and was recovering just fine.

But just a couple of days ago, they revealed that his cancer has returned and reached Stage IV. He is expected to only have days left to live.

It will be a sad day for everybody and their childhood. Cancer is cruel.

Rotten, even.

What is Mike going to do in S4?

He had a pretty easy season this year. His only real conflicts were reverse tracking Gus, guilt over the good samaritan, going after some trucks, and laundering his money.

Now that's Mike got a cushy job and a good thing going what's he going to do in S4? Right now his only possible "conflict" will be whether or not he told Gus abut Nacho's plan and whether Gus finds out Mike knew. Which we obviously know he will be forgiven for and still trusted.

I guess any involvement with Saul could give him something to do but I think Mike will be one of the biggest challenges for the writers when starting S4 at least.

[EVERYTHING] Some thoughts on the show after watching it for the first time

Recently got out of school for the summer and got my wisdom teeth out so I'm not working yet. Had a lot of time on my hands so I decided to watch this show, which has been recommended to me countless times. Here are my thoughts

  • God damn. Hands down, best show I've ever watched. Plot. Action. Everything. Can't wait for S7
  • The way this show can make me hate a character at one moment and love them the next is crazy
  • Saddest moment for me was the Red Wedding. I loved Robb's cause and loved him as a character. Hearing him being called the "Young Wolf" and being described in battle gave me chills every time
  • Another sad moment was when Aemon was calling Aegon "Egg" on his death bed and looking for him. Got a sad vibe as if he was an older brother looking for his pure, wonderful little brother before he became King and turned evil and all that. Not sure if that's what it actually was, but that's what it seemed like to me. I'm not quite sure how exactly that went down
  • Arya Stark is a badass of the highest degree
  • Cersei Lannister gives so little fucks that she gives negative fucks. I think we owe her fucks to give. Blowing up the sept with all the people in it was one of the craziest things I've seen
  • They did such a good job at revealing the whole storyline with Ned and Lyanna Stark and Jon's true lineage. That cut from the baby to Jon's face in front of the Northern Lords was awesome
  • I'm glad Ramsey got the death he deserved. Would have liked it to be a little more painful, though

There is only one character in BB that is consistently reasonable and sympathetic through all five seasons. That character is Skyler.

Damn near every character in this show is morally grey.

Walt - Really, genuinely cares about Jesse and Hank, to the point of introducing idiotic risks to himself to save them. But is a lying, manipulative egomaniac who passed up multiple golden opportunities to get out with no suspicion and a healthy pile of money.

Jesse - Has a heart of gold. This one's tough. His greyness is not so much due to immorality as psychological weakness. He's such an impulsive dipshit at times, it threatens to ruin the entire gig for everyone. Tell me you didn't shake your head when he started tossing the cash out the window.

Hank - Exactly the jolly character this show needed to balance the ensemble. Very devoted to his work and straight edged. But he is an unbelievable asshole to Marie. He never shows the slightest appreciation for how much she does to help him recover from his injuries.

Marie - Yes, the kleptomania and the selfish solipsism. She's awful at times. But she does have one redeeming quality: she is a phenomenal wife to Hank. I mean, she almost approaches Mary Sue territory with how good she is to him. He honestly doesn't deserve her. When he told her to "Leave" in season 3, I didn't think she'd even come back.

Which brings me to Skyler. I cannot for the life of me understand why people hate her. Maybe on the first watch. But once you have the full picture, can you try to imagine yourself in that Kafkaesque situation? What decision did she ever make that was unfair or unwise? We can see that Walt's out making money for his family. The entire plot gets predicated on his idiotic rationale for not bringing her in on it. He could have told her back when he started exactly what he was doing and there wouldn't have even been a show to watch. He's a terrible liar, creating an environment like she's in some bizarre reality TV show. How you could even sleep like that, feeling like the cameramen are going to jump out and yell "Surprise! You were punked!" at any moment? Of course she grew increasingly irritated and suspicious.

You're mad at her for banging Ted? Her husband just pulled a power play to move himself into her house and keep their children under the same roof, endangering everyone. You feel like you have zero control over your life. You know that there is one thing you can do to pull his switch and get an angle on him. What do you do?

You're mad at her for laundering the money? Make up your mind! You hated her in Season 1 for being a killjoy to the crime action. You can't also hate her for joining it. And anyway, notice how well Walt gets her like a frog in a pot of water. She's always putting up with just one more step, and one more, and one more, until she's eventually asking Walt to murder Jesse after he tries to burn their house down.

Skyler is smart, resourceful, is a godsend with the carwash instead of Saul's idiotic laser tag plan, and does exactly what she has to do every step of the way. She is the strongest, most consistent character in the show.

Why Chuck is weak, and cowardly, and still an asshole

I felt bad for Chuck after the finale, I really did. And how could I not? It was heartbreaking. But after some reflection, what I realized is that Chuck IS an asshole! His suicide is going to emotionally destroy Jimmy, Kim, Howard even. And what reason did he have to do it, huh?

1) Hatred of or disappointment with Jimmy? Well, Jimmy DID apologize and he sounded genuinely sincere, but Chuck just pushed him away and burnt this bridge. This conversation obviously made him feel bad which means he did not want it to be like this. So why couldn't he just admit that and talk to Jimmy? Okay, he could not apologize, but at least he could just accept Jimmy's apology -- like a man. But he just couldn't get over his pride, righteousness or whatever. ASSHOLE.

2) Did the fact that Howard kicked him out of HHM upset him? What, he could not stand not being a practicing lawyer? Well, boo-freaking-hoo. Unlike Jimmy, he did not have a suspension. A rock star like Chuck still could be a lawyer anywhere (imagine Howard's face if Davis & Mane became Davis & Mane & McGuill). He could start his own firm and have tons of clients. Yes, now his reputation wasn't as perfect as it used to be, but still, I'm sure he could find a way to keep practicing law and successfully so. In a similar situation, Kim, practically nobody, managed to land Mesa Verde as a client -- when Howard put her in doc review, it was hard for her, but she got up, picked up the damn phone and started actually DOING SOMETHING. And it paid off. Jimmy -- how many times did Jimmy have to start from scratch? Right now, his situation is far worse than Chuck's: he legally can not practice law and he completely destroyed his reputation as a lawyer you can trust, he lost every single one of his clients. And we all know that he is not going to commit suicide because of it, he is going to start from square one, and he will succeed (at least for some time). Chuck, on the other hand, can not get over that his partner asked him to retire and paid him TONS of money out of his own pocket. ASSHOLE.

3) Did the realization that he is mentally not well made him sad? Well, we've all seen that he COULD control his condition, he COULD get better. All he had to do was call his doctor the second he felt the urge to tear down the house. He KNEW IT FOR A FACT that it was all in his head, but he CHOSE not to believe it. WEAK AND COWARDLY.

So, I think that Chuck is an asshole. Years of being successful made him weak. He feels entitled to everything, he thinks that his reputation and the sheer fact that he is James McGuill is the guarantee he is going to win (that's why he lost his case to Jimmy). He simply forgot what it means what it's like to fight hard. I'm sure he had his ups and downs in life, but he forgot how to deal the downs. When something isn't going his way he just gets upset and depressed and angry, he does not try to fight. Or, if he tries to fight (like in case he tried to battle his condition), the moment it gets difficult, he gives up.

P.S.: I'm sorry it's such a long post, but I just had to say it. Also, great show. I feel like Chuck could be a real person, a fucked-up, complicated, old, and stubborn asshole who got successful and rich once and now can't stand losing even a bit of his reputation and success.
