Anything interesting happen this episode?

I stopped after 5x04. I just poke my head in this sub to see if there’s any Rick connections and-or interesting things.

What has happened in terms of the director etc in s4 and s5?

I watched s1, 2 and 3 when they came out which feels like a lifetime ago thinking about it and noticed recently that s4 was on Amazon. Just finished it and sitting here now it doesn't even feel like I just watched a full season, it just didn't feel the same. Not been up to date with any information on new writers or directors, can someone explain what happened? I didn't mind the season however Its a shame that the main characters of ftwd are kinda getting thrown to the back now and are almost just there as extras

Just finished season 4... who I was hoping Jimmy would call during one of the opening scenes... SPOLIERS

Man, that fucking scene where they fast forward to Saul’s final days in ABQ. I really thought and hoped he was gonna call Kim instead of Ed.. how magnificent would’ve that been? Imagine just the line “Hey, Kim. You got a minute?” and end the teaser. Lol

Well. Every summer I rewatch breaking bad. Completed my fourth re-watch this month. Never rewatched BCS though, and didn’t watch season 4 when it was on TV. Took me about a week to finish all four seasons lol. Had to buy season 4, but don’t mind since I can’t wait that long till 2020.

Are there any good shows to watch now? Man.. somethings about this series makes it fucjing a addicting.. ever episode of BCS and BB is jammed packed, and can’t really find a show like it. Already watched dexter, Narcos, prison break which have a similar vibe.

Anyone else find skylar’s character so unlikable?

I’m about 4 episodes in of season 5 and I just watched the scene where it looks like she wanted to kill herself or something in the pool? I mean I get that she’s going through some thing and it can’t be easy but throughout the entire show even with her sleeping with her boss for some kind of revenge against water. The entire miny arc when she’s trying to get her boss to pay the irs unless it has something to do with the show further down the line I’ve found her character to be completely unlikeable. I mean I get the constant fear of being found out and her losing the kids or whatever or how that Walter junior thinks of her as the “bitch mother” according to her but she doesn’t even try to see where Walt’s coming from.

The helicopter from season 2

Hey everyone! I’m new to this sub and I have this question because I’ve started to rewatch TWD from the beginning.

I’m currently finishing up S2 and at the beginning of “Beside the Dying Fire” there was a helicopter that seemed to draw more walkers to the farm. (Speaking of, how did that even happen? Don’t walkers typically lose interest once their target/sound is long gone?)

What was that supposed to be about? I know in the more recent seasons the whole helicopter plot comes back, but it just seems like a plot hole in the earlier seasons. Does anyone know what that was supposed to lead to? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I just can’t make any sense of it! Thanks!

Walt starting drinking his whisky neat after Hank died... before he always liked it on the rocks.

Just a neat little tidbit I noticed when rewatching the season. I know there’s a lot of fan theories out there that say Walt’s picks up characteristics of the people he’s killed or responsible for killing. Hank always drinks his whisky neat. After his death, Walt does also.

Question about 2x07

I just started the show I’m on 2x07 (so no spoilers further than that please) and I really like it so far but I feel really stupid for not understanding something. in the beginning of the episode Celia is very upset about something Strand did. I think it has something to do with the white circle things? I honestly don’t get it, why was it wrong to shoot Tom in the head? shouldn’t they always do it anyway so he won’t come back as a dead? maybe someone can clear that out for me. thx.

"The Walking Dead formula" and why S5 is just as bad as S4 (so far)

I would say that the dialogue has slightly improved since last season, but really, Season 5 contains the exact same problems that plagued the worst seasons of TWD, as well as Fear's last two seasons.

  1. The pseudo-intellectual babble. "We're still here. We're not out there. Out there is... that's what we're trying to leave behind." This is the type of bullshit that's uttered in almost every single conversation. More recently, the archetypal conversation in FTWD is about "helping people." It's like the characters can only talk about one thing.
  2. Every character is the exact same now, including Nick and Madison. For whatever reason, this show is obsessed with making everyone saints. I'm sorry, it's not okay to just force a time-skip and have people magically completely change their worldview and motivation. Every character has the same motivation: they did bad things in the past and are trying to make up for it.
  3. The strange pacing. The show just feels so cheap when you have a bombastic first and last couple of episodes, but the filler almost all consists of groups of two or more characters "going on runs," or otherwise dealing with some sort of zombie problem. Why do major characters seemingly disappear for weeks at a time? Why are the characters always separated? Remember when all of the Clarks were in every single episode? Shit, if Gimple/Chambliss/Goldberg ran Fear back then, we wouldn't have seen Madison until the premieres and finales.

Marie and Skyler’s conversation in S5 E14: Ozymandias

Fair warning, this is a bit of a Marie hate post.

So after Marie gets the call from Hank that Walter is “dead to rights” (lmaooooo) she immediately becomes even more smug than she usually is since her husband ‘won’. But that’s not even the part that bothers me as that’s part of Marie’s character. What pisses me tf off is that Marie is on her moral high ground and basically coerces Skyler to tell Walter Jr about Walt’s Heisenberg persona. Skyler was emotionally vulnerable in a state of distress and Marie felt superior and thought she knew what was best. That was not the time nor place to tell Walter Jr about Walt’s Heisenberg side. Hank should have been there when they told him and it should not have been at the fucking car wash. Obviously Walter Jr was going to flip out regardless but hearing it from Hank would have been a bit easier as he could’ve explained it better.

That obviously wouldn’t have happened since...yk...but it should have played out that way in the moment. Skyler and Marie later finding out that Hank was killed would’ve been a better time to tell him as then Walter would’ve been seen as a threat to anyone he cared about.

Just something I’m going to add to a list of things I hate about Marie.

I’d love to hear what others thought about this.

Season 6 renewal at comic con?

Does anyone else think we may get a possibly announcement for season 6 at comic con next month since S5 was announced around the same time? I know a lot of people think we work cuz the two shows may merge. But tbh I don’t see a permanent merge happening. I just don’t see it working cuz the fear cast would not get as much screentime as the TWD cast. I just can’t see it being a permanent thing. My theory is in the S5 finale Morgan leaves with the helicopter people to go to the rick movies and that’s when Alicia becomes the sole leader of the group. If that happens then maybe fear can become somewhat good again. And I say that cuz personally for me I think Morgan is flat out boring on the show and the premise of helping people is ridiculous. But I’m curious as to what you guys think. Do you guys see a S6 renewal coming?

I'm sorry to complain but...

I'm really just not happy with the new Fear. In my opinion, 4A was okay because it still had Nick and Madison, but now they're gone. I did not watch 4B at all, but I've read about what happens in the episodes. I love Morgan and Dwight, but they don't belong on this show. John Dorie is okay, June is okay-ish, but Althea I find annoying. I came back for this season and I'm just not into it anymore. I'm watching for Alicia, Strand, and Daniel, but something just isn't right about this new Strand and Daniel is a soft ass old man now. Alicia is sort of okay, but I'm not feeling it. I don't care for Luciana which sucks because I should, but they've done her so dirty.

I miss the feel of the first three seasons. I miss Dave Erickson. I would have loved to see his plans for the show finished. I just finished rewatching 3A and it's so damn good. I miss Madison, I miss Nick, I miss Troy motherfucking Otto, I miss Taqa and Crazy Dog, I miss Ofelia, I miss Travis, I miss Proctor John, I miss the old badass Daniel, I miss the real Strand and Alicia. I miss everything about Dave Erickson's Fear. I loved this show so much, but I think I'm gonna stop watching when this season is over.

It will never be what is once was, and I had to accept that. All we have now of the old Fear are fanfictions like one that I'm making. Again, sorry to put another post full of complaints out there, but I wanted to get this off my chest. No hate at all to anyone who is enjoying Fear now, I'm just not anymore.

Fear, I loved what you were... I'm sorry they made you into what you are.

Days Gone - My tribute to The Walking Dead

(Not really a spoiler) Some of you may say this belongs in a poetry thread, but i figured all you guys would be able to appreciate this, if you're fans of TWD. I hope it is appropriate to post here and you all enjoy it. I incorporated the story arc titles into many of the lines. Excluding All Out War.

Days Gone Bye and I simply go through the motions

I’m out of control, not even the captain of my ocean

My thoughts constantly dwell on the Miles Behind Us

My mind struggles but there’s no one that I trust

Some look for Safety Behind Bars

Others shed pain writing their memoirs

I chose the latter when I let love burn me like a fire

But then again who could stop The Heart’s Desire

The pain I feel has become so immense

Surely pretending it doesn’t exist is The Best Defense

This Sorrowful Life makes me yearn for more

Although I’m sure this is just The Calm Before

They all say that I need to be tougher

But it feels like I have been Made To Suffer

I hope one day I see the world without such disdain

Yet Here We Remain

I sit and think about What We Become

I can see how slowly we’ve come undone

Fear The Hunters, they try and conform you to their ways

I just wish and pray for better days

As I’ve grown everyone else has become quite salacious

Life Among Them has made me quite tenacious

I spend my time wishing and wishing well

Hoping that one day We Find Ourselves

Hoping that one day we can let go of all that occurred

Hoping that one day we can join A Larger World

But I will always believe that there is Something To Fear

No matter What Comes After, year after year

One day I could meet this March To War

Maybe then I wouldn’t feel this pain anymore

I like to think someday I might have a shot at winning

All I want is A New Beginning

It’s hard to tell if these are just delusions and daydreams

All I know is they turn the Whispers Into Screams

Maybe I just need to take a breath

It feels like this is Life And Death

This enemy that I can’t attack

I know there’s No Turning Back

It may feel as though I’ve done myself too much harm

But I swear I’ll answer my Call To Arms

And I don’t just sit here and assume

I know there’s more to my future than A Certain Doom

Despite all that I have slowly lost

When I look back I can’t regret all the Lines We Cross

I can’t help but hold onto all my pain like some lowly hoarder

It seems there is little hope in the rise of this New World Order

Although I’ll try to remain hopeful for the things in store

And remember there is more to this life than The Rotten Core

Hopefully one day the craziness of our world will finally cease

Then maybe we can all finally Rest In Peace

Everyone has monsters talking inside their head

Can’t you see, we are The Walking Dead

[SPOILERS] After watching the entire show within the span of 1 and a half months, I’m not really surprised about anything Daenerys did this season.

There have been tons of instances, specifically during her conquest of slaver’s bay and during season 7 where dany had been extremely impulsive and needed her decisions to be changed by tyrion and others. She did a lot things such as the crucifixion of the slavers and the burning of samwells brother and dad that revealed her violent nature. She also needed tyrion to convince her not to destroy kings landing, which she eventually did anyways.

At the very least it's a way of showing our appreciation for Dave's work.

I just made this like 10 hours ago at 3 AM. It's a little slow but hoping y'all can use this as a place to vent your frustration with new rebranded bs we are watching.

I'm interactive with Dave on twitter, he reads and replies. I've also hi-jacked most of the official fear account tweet replies. Not that they will care, but the movement will grow!

Thanks in advance to those who take the time to sign!

Why did they execute operation Cobalt?

I just started the show and I’m on episode 5 when they described Operation Cobalt. The military leaves and then essentially wipes out the rest of the civilians. Why did they put this plan in place if the safe zone was safe without any infected?

(Also, side note the episode just ended while i was typing this and Ofelia’s dad just walked up to a giant stadium type building with clearly a lot of infected chained inside? Where is he?)

I stopped watching FTWD and it’s upsetting that they’d do this...

One thing I will never understand is how LA was so far behind Atlanta is the zombie take over. I feel like if both shows had been planned better, this show would be soo much better. Anyways.... I saw an article that said Rick Grimes connection confirmed in FTWD. I stopped watching Fear back in the second season I think. I didn’t think it’d matter much to what was going on in Atlanta. But now I feel like these are starting to connect more and more and it’ll eventually get to a point where you have to watch both so you don’t miss major plot holes and that part is upsetting to me. Fear had the potential to be something so much better and it just fell short IMO. I’ll probably go back and start watching it over again so that I can get caught up. https://www.google.com/amp/s/ew.com/recap/fear-the-walking-dead-season-5-episode-4/amp/

Chuck's mental illness completely destroyed him

Hamlin was willing to move on, and agreed that everyone makes mistakes. howard was sure that the documents said 1261 but he didn't see them, so he just thought chuck was being insane.

once howard tried affirming that everyone makes mistakes, chuck thinks that Howard thinks hes insane, and not having the sensitivity. Howard questioned his mental health and intellect without taking in consideration this fake sensitivity, so chuck's major spiral downward begins. Chuck's ego was hurt from this incident.

To make it worse, the chicanery incident completely destroyed his ego, as Jimmy disproves his condition as being physical and shows that it's a mental disorder.

chuck never wanted to think that there is something mentally wrong with him and thought the sensitivity is something physical that can eventually go away. Once it was confirmed mental, he probably assumed he won't be able to get it out of his head. He believed he will die with it and no one will take him serious ever again.

If he wanted to, he could've retired and took his part of HHM and leave the community as a respected lawyer. This was what Jimmy was trying to push all along, from the first episode.

Instead, he wanted to prove to everyone he is not mentally ill to retain what he think he's lost (respect) so he continuously pushes himself to spend time in the office.

Howard had too much respect and class to disobey chuck, so he listened to him and let him take an "extended sabbatical".

TL;DR/conclusion

In the end, Chuck's story resembles Walt's a lot, as they both would have had a chance to retire in peace with the respect of everyone around them but instead their ego could not accept it so it led to their miserable downfalls. Only difference was the physical nature of their deaths, but they did have similar decisions.

Gravity Falls is a fantastic show even for adults

Might not have to tell you this, but check out Gravity Falls. It's on hulu and it's a Disney XD show. It's a great mystery show that has great wit, fantastic writing, and many jokes. Almost like a G rated version of Rick and Morty, or a more clever Scooby Doo. Each episode builds on each other and has great call backs with a bigger mystery to solve episode by episode. Bonus! it has one of the best theme songs in any show. Check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6usKhzL8uI

_____'s transformation after Season 4

Everyone says that Walt is far less likable on a rewatch. But I wasn't finding that to be the case at all for me. If anything, I noticed more details this time that made Walt all the more sympathetic and, if not justified, at least rational in his actions.

But then I got to Season 5. All of a sudden, it's like I'm watching a completely different person! But thanks to all the fantastic character development Walt's had over the past 4 seasons, it's totally believable that he would become as ruthless as Gus was right after killing him.

Still, the level of sociopathy that Walt is displaying right now is terrifying. I just finished the third episode (Hazard Pay), and Walt does multiple things that seem like reincarnations of past Breaking Bad villains:

– When Skyler is recovering from her mental breakdown, rather than check up on her, Walt just heads to the kitchen, grabs an apple, and takes a big, satisfying bite out of it. This is what one of the cartel twins did while the other one murdered a police officer.

– His manipulation of Jesse is just as subtle and unemotional as Gus's. At the end of the episode, when Jesse reveals that he's broken up with Andrea (which Walt manipulated him into doing), Walt doesn't even react to the news – he just immediately moves on the next order of business, which is killing Mike.

It is so obvious that Walt is the villain now that I can't believe I didn't see it the first time. The main story of these past few episodes (maybe even the past few seasons) is that Walt is destroying the lives of all the people he supposedly cares about. And the main question seems to be whether he's such a megalomaniac that he doesn't even notice this (his interactions with Skyler seem to imply this), or he does notice it, but doesn't care because subconsciously he already knows that he's doing this all for himself. I'm curious to hear which of these you guys think it is.

My view of Walt has changed so much that Season 5 feels almost like a completely new season this time. I can't wait to finish it and see how this impacts my views on the final episodes and the series as a whole.

could Jimmy have envied Kim a bit?

Both Kim and Jimmy were fourth-year associates, mentioned in Season 2. They also started together in the mail room, and also probably doing Doc Review too.

In S1 when Jimmy is trying to get the Kettlemens, he tries to convince them by mentioning personal service and working day and night or whatever. However this did not work and they went to HHM in the end.

In S2, Kim resigns from HHM and tries to get Mesa Verde onboard. she uses the same argument mentioning personal service, and she managed to have Mesa Verda choose her over HHM.

When Kim explains to Jimmy how she got them, he seems a little annoyed or upset, and sort of over-complimenting her.

Jimmy probably thought that the only thing he is good at his being Slippin' Jimmy, and since honesty didn't work for him yet it worked for her, he goes deeper into the sleazy route.

A plot hole that I just noticed, and now it bugs me

I'm re-watching the entire series for perhaps the fourth time. And it hit me: money laundering is only dealt with twice despite happening at least four times.

The entire "car wash saga", stretched out over many episodes, embraces one of the major elements of the story: laundering all that money. Earlier, a casino was willing to forge a statement showing that Walt had "won" some of his early money. But a huge chunk of the show dealt with Schulyer and the Car Wash.

Upon re-watching, I realized that when Jesse wants to buy his parents' house, he simply gives Saul $400,000 in cash. Soon afterwards, Saul says he can have the money "wired this very afternoon" to close the deal. How did he get $400,000 in cash deposited so quickly and easily?

Next: in the finale, Walt expects the Schwartz couple to take millions in cash and convert it into a trust account. Of course, they are wealthy, so they have access to good lawyers. But nevertheless, depositing 10 million dollars in cash into a bank account can't possibly be easy.

All this fuss over the car wash, and yet, HUGE SUMS of cash mysteriously get laundered without a mention.

Am I wrong?

I’m currently on season 5, episode 6. (My second time watching the show) & I just need to say, I can’t stand Walter anymore.

He may have started out as a good guy but as the show gets closer to the end his selfishness and narcissism becomes unbearable. His character really turns for the worst & he keeps saying all he does is for his family but it really seems like it’s for himself. Maybe he gets a “high” from being this important meth cook/chemist but he really makes some stupid decisions & even when innocent people are dead because of him he shows no remorse. (Take gale or however you spell his name) if it weren’t for gale, Gus wouldn’t have even given Walt a chance to work with him.) or that kid riding the bike that was shot. Walter didn’t really give a fuck even though he didn’t kill him. Oh and he poisoned Brock? I still don’t get why he did that. Anyways. Feel free to leave your opinion. I’m interested in what y’all think/feel. & if you disagree with me

What the fuck was that 180?

The hatred and mistrust Daniel had for Strand, developed since the first fucking season, has suddenly done a complete 180 right in the middle of the latest ep. Wtf???

I was seriously mislead at the start of the episode - the scene where Daniel has Strand explain his lies to everyone, opens the idea to a vengeful story arc. But no. Gimple wants us to forget everything since S1 and retcon one of the most fleshed out characters.

Yet I still watch this show, despite how angry it makes me.

I have finally lost the final ounce of respect I had for this show

The season premiere was incredibly average. Literally nothing of value. The second episode was a slight improvement, but still super awkward and dumb. The third episode was a new low for the show - splitting a revolver bullet off an axe being held by someone's weak, wavy, injured arm in the perfect way as to hit two walkers square in the head at once - enough said. I honestly thought it couldn't get worse. Lmaooooo

This is quite possibly the worst episode of television I've had the absolute displeasure of watching. Literally not one single aspect of this episode was even remotely passable: acting, writing, camerawork, all beyond pathetic.

  1. There is no way a cat could be that well-trained, and especially not one that was found in the wild during the god damn zombie apocalypse. You would be led to believe that Daniel was a master cat-trainer before the collapse and did it every day for 45 years, but no cat was ever mentioned until we met this orange plot-moving device a couple of episodes ago. Ridiculous.
  2. So Daniel wanted to tell Ofelia that every day is a new day? It's incredibly hard to censor myself because I don't know how else to convey just the absolute stupidity of that whole idea. What did Ofelia ever do or experience to be told by her father that every day is a new day? Why make that the first thing you tell your daughter after being led to believe that she's missing or dead for months? What does every day being a new day have to do with anything that was happening whatsoever during season 3? Jesus Christ, I'm screaming internally.
  3. "Lol sorry I shot you in your face and lied to you about your daughter's whereabouts help me tho please lmao"
  4. Charlie says to the camera "we have to help him" with the delivery of an iCarly character. You can tell that she wasn't prepared for this scene at all because she shakes her head like 83,000 times in 18 quintillion different directions before saying her line with her eye line passing the camera every single second and with less emotion than a wooden spoon.
  5. Every word out of Sarah's mouth is meant to be quick and witty and haha quirky Marvel movie humour, but I can't listen to any sound she makes without retreating into myself like a raisin.
  6. On a similar note, Mitchell or whatever the hell his name is (just looked it up: Wendell); what the hell purpose does he serve on this show? Frankly, what the hell purpose does anybody serve on this show? Remove this guy, Sarah, Luciana, Dwight, John, Naomilaurajunelikethemonthhahahahahahaha, the story stays exactly the same.
  7. Daniel spouts off cheesy one-liners in Spanish to his cat.
  8. These idiot children with the collective acting range and IQ of a rotting blueberry are the worst antagonists in fiction history as far as I'm concerned.
  9. The "tense" moments that our group of mental handicaps get into are so incredibly forced and could so easily be resolved or, better yet, avoided entirely if anyone in this show had a positive IQ.
  10. So either this is the last we see of Daniel, or he'll be back in the nick of time in a Deus Ex Machina to save our group from "peril" in the future, and frankly, I don't know which would make me hang myself sooner.

I know there's so many more things I had to say but thinking about this episode to such a degree has caused me to become temporarily braindead and I can no longer focus. This is the worst show ever made. See y'all next week

An amusing pattern

It occurred to me that many of the stories in TWD universes revolve around a revolver wielding, small town lawman thrust into the post-apocalyptic world and forced to come to terms with the new, brutal laws that come with it. Rick and family, John Dorie and the Fear crew, and the speculatively this incoming Sheriff Kapoor. It is almost funny to imagine a post-apocalyptic America riddled with gangs of sheriff-led groups who continue to bring all of the baddies in the land to justice even after the world has ended.

Obviously the Whisper Wars and the Helecopter folks are plots that dictate the shows general fiber, but what other plotlines - however small - are keeping you on the edge of your seat?

For me, I'm really interested in Daryl's reckoning after Rick has "died", Aaron's absorbing of future Rick plotlines, and Negan's redemption arc. Also anything Magna does because she is such an interesting looking human.

Wouldn’t this be so cool?!

Instead of Shane dying...

I seen someone else post this comment on YouTube and thought I’d share here because it would’ve been awesome! Check it out: 👇

Imagine if they brought Shane back.... now here me out. What if rick didn’t actually kill Shane but told him to leave and never come back or he would kill him and told him Lori got rid of the baby, they bring him back as the lead and has a redemption arc... right as daryl is about to die someone shoots a whisperer and out of the shadows we hear in Shane’s voice.... GOD DAMN Hillbilly. That would be awesome

Honestly though, I never understood why they chose to kill him off, instead of him running away like him and Andrea were gonna do. Especially because Rick is gone now, it’d be really cool for Shane to return.

Unpopular opinion

I like the first couple of seasons cuz I feel like it somewhat explored what some people might do in the event of an apocalypse Tho I started disliking that parts after they reach Alexandria After that I feel like it was just another tv show about who gets the biggest turf While I'll admit that would happen and I'm glad they did show some of it,but I feel like there was too much human vs human combat for a zombie show, like why tf would you bother wasting so many resources you probably can't produce other than maybe food and the occasional medicine But that's my opinion, not trying to debate just want to see if anyone else sees what I'm saying and maybe agrees as well

Is anyone else worried about season 5 being rushed?

Obviously I trust Vince. But I'm worried.

The Jimmy we currently have is pulling scams - fake letters to get Huell off, lying about his love for his brother, etc.

In the first episode we see him in Breaking Bad, he suggests murdering Badger, without even giving it a thought - as if it's something he's done a hundred times before.

I also worry about Mike. When we meet him in BrBa he's a remorseless killer - he doesn't have any hesitation whatsoever about it. The Werner kill was an important step, but something here needs to happen.

I'm worried about the season being rushed. What do you think?

While Walt is obviously intrinsic to his plan, had he just done what he had to and took the money then there'd never been such a shit show?

Gus was always going to have Walt replaced, he was terminally ill.

I know narcissism is a theme with Walt and smooth sailing isn't entertaining but reasons...

Rewatched season 3 episode 1...

...and wow. Its amazing how different of a vibe there is. Seasons 1, 2, and 3 felt so much more personal and in your face than season 4. Season 4 was such a shit show of dealing with some stupid ass antagonist and dealing with decisions that would not have flew in the first 3. Just rewatching season 3 episode 1 I got chills and anxious; something I am yet to have again in season 4 or season 5. How do you all think season 5 is going? I'm not really a fan because it still feels like they are trying to push moral based themes that are just annoying.

Revisiting old places

I was rewatching the first couple of seasons and thinking - as boring as the farm and prison were, they were probably decent places to hide out.

I wonder if future survivors have found these locations and established a base there. It would be cool to see AMC do a sweep through the older locations to show them inhabited by the living as a way of saying how the story continues long after our characters.

Listening to Walt lecture about explosions in season 1

The episode where Walt starts chemo he is in his classroom talking about rapid chemical reactions, and explosions. Having seen the series I cant help but love the foreshadowing of his character. Couple episodes later is a literal explosion with the "this is not meth" scene with tuco. I know it's a simple thing, but I still cant help but be drawn into the writing of this show. Lines I've heard time after time still resonate deeply.

Finale final shot

Just finished watching breaking bad and I am beyond impressed. This was by far the greatest show I’ve ever watched and I’m pissed that it’s over. However I’m very satisfied with the finale and honestly it wrapped everything up perfectly for me. The one thing that really stood out to me as brilliant was the final scene of Walt being dead looked identical to the scene in crawl space. Such an amazing show...

I'm watching the episode commentaries for Season 4 and thought I'd post some of the more interesting things

Episode 1 with Peter Gould, Bob Odenkirk, Jonathan Banks & Minkie Spiro (director)

In the opening scene with Gene in Omaha, after Gene gets out of the hospital and is in the taxi where the driver seems to have ID'd him... the street that Gene gets out is the same street where Jesse's parents house was. Not in the show, of course, because one scene is in Omaha and the other is Albuquerque. But they've been shooting in Albuquerque for so long, they're starting to have trouble with locations overlapping. So the director was told to avoid shooting that house.

Mike's house (in real life) was probably built in the late 19th century and theres a block out front that's for getting on and off a horse or carriage.

Keri Condon, who plays Mike's daughter in law, was a jockey in Ireland and raced horses.

Mike getting to sit at home, he figured he'd be able to collect a paycheck and watch baseball. But Jonathan Banks said Mike is a Phillies fan and they tanked that year. I'm not sure if we have a definate date for when season 4 takes place, but the worst record I could find for the Phillies for the early-mid 2000's was 2002 when they finished under .500 and 3rd in the division. Every other season in the early 00's, Philly was pretty decent

Jonathan Banks said hes been drinking Pabst out of the refrigerator in that house for years, and if theres any viewers out there who have anything to do with Pabst, he figured "Those miserable motherfuckers would've sent him a 6 pack at some point".

EPISODE 2 with Peter Gould, Patrick Fabian, Michael Mando, Mark Johnson, Thomas Schnauz (writer) & Michelle MacLaren (director)

In the opening scene, we see the doctor that treated Gus in Breaking Bad (in the episode after Salud). Originally, they were going to shoot a much larger scene for this episode that showed how Gus originally met the Doctor, at an airport somewhere and how Gus recruited him. But it was deemed "too big", so they left that part for offscreen.

Neff Copiers (the copy store with the Hummel figurine) was empty, there was nothing there. The show built a business that looks like it's been there forever.

Theres a scene in this episode with Kaylee on a swing. It's a direct callback to Breaking Bad 507 Say my Name, the episode where Mike sees Kaylee for the last time. They lined up this shot to be the same

Everytime theres a painting on a wall, a tattoo or even graffiti, it has to be cleared by lawyers for rights

This was the episode with Kim's amazing scene in Howard's office. They basically just talked about how amazing she was, nothing we didnt already know. I really wished Rhea had been in this episode so she could've talked about that scene. Patrick Fabian did say they rehearsed it, but it was nothing like when they shot the scene

Theres a lot more in each episode, but those were the highlights. So far, I've liked the commentaries from the earlier seasons better. But that's probably because they had a lot more Vince Gilligan and Michael McKean. Peter Gould is fine in these episodes so far, but Vince Gilligan is by far the best. I'm hoping he's in some of the upcoming episode commentaries. I'm not sure I'm even gonna watch the commentary for episode 3 because none of the main actors are in it.

Time frame between shows

What is the time difference between TWD and FWD? So for Morgan and now Dwight and gang to go back to Alexandria it would be like 5 years (or more maybe) in the TWD’s past right? TWD did a huge leap forward. Dwight said he’s been looking for his wife for a year. A little confused I am.

Do you guys think "that death" was worth it?

Spoilers for the walking dead comic. Do you Guys think Rick should have died at this time? Or do you think they should have waited until #200 to kill him off? Also I feel like they wasted Dwights character in the comic by just having Rick shoot him. Maybe as bad as idea as this is, what if Dwight went crazy and shot Rick out of anger with him siding with the governor. Then have mercer or someone else kill Dwight. Or even better. Have negan Lucille Dwight. I hope Carl gets advice from negan about what to do. Maybe negan will Lucille Sebastian.anyway I don't know. I knew this time would come eventually. I just though maybe he would have died differently, and i guess that was the point of his death. It just came out of the blue. Either way Carl will be the lead. Or at least close to the lead role.

Season5 plot was originally going to be in 4B

Since it is the general consensus that 4A is slightly more entertaining than 4B, I thought I could shed light to something that one of the showrunners said recently. I heard that they were going to make the plot of season 5 be in 4B, but they decided to wait and put Hurricane/Filthy woman as the main plot. I think that’s unfortunate bc if season 4 had finished strong it would have a WAY better reputation.

Just saying, Walter had the upper hand in that fight in Jesse's house, until the latter pulled on Walter's leg and he face planted the table. That wasn't a cheating move, was it? Before that, Walt slammed Jesse into the wall twice, the first slam followed by a badass flip!

I don't know if anyone else has caught or mentioned this, but in the intro of Season 3: Episode 1 Gene is drinking what appears to be a "tepid, off-brand, generic Cola." This may imply he is indeed living "in a world without Coca-Cola," or at least doesn't want to be affiliated with it in any way.

Dwight Character!

The introduction of Dwight character could really add some nice character variety in this show. Everyone in our main group have this mindset of being good guy Greg. I think that Dwight could be different. I think that Dwight should start out following this group philosophy up until he find his wife. this is were we mix things up. The group controlling the building that Morgan group had set up shop should some how accidentally kill of Dwight wife. Now, Dwight will be confused because he tried following their code and helping everyone they could, yet Dwight is still punish by him losing his wife.

This could possibly lead to a power struggle between Dwight and Morgan with Dwight thinking that the group who took over their place should be dealt with similarly to how Negan would while Morgan would have a more pacifist approach. This could lead to members of the group choosing sides and possibly leading to a few character death. Anyway, this was a random thought I had and just tell me what you think.

i’m currently on season 3 episode 3: I.F.T. and everything skylar does including the bombshell she dropped on walt just makes me despise her. not even just this and the divorce and her being petty, but her entire character is so obnoxiously straight edged. not that this is a bad thing this is the writers doing a good job of making her character personality come to life, but overall i just wanna know if this is a common opinion or not. also maybe my opinion will change as the show goes on. don’t know yet.

Why don’t The survivors try to go there? It’s the perfect location for them to survive in. Good fishing for food, good weather, and the best part is that it’s a long skinny island with only two bridges to get on to it.

Will Deanna’s video taped interviews play a part in a future storyline?

From what I understand, Deanna recorded the initial interviews to archive them. Last we saw the camcorder was when Negan first came to Alexandria for their tribute. It feels kinda weird to me that the archived interview would just vanished completely from the plot line because nothing ever really came of it besides that one small scene with Negan.

Perhaps it could be a small scene where Michonne watches it in remembrance of Rick or stumbles upon it by accident somehow.

A short analysis of a screencap from "Box Cutter"

https://imgur.com/a/IGtU2nW

This is one of the prominent caps from S4E1 "Box Cutter", during Victor's death, where Jesse and Gus stare at each other for a second. Here, in this screencap, Jesse transitions out of his near-catatonic state into awareness once again. Obviously, he's snarling, his face is contorted into a defiant expression -- something along the lines of "I don't care if I die, fuck you". Afterwards, of course, Jesse kind of fucks off and does things that are highly risky and dangerous for the beginning of S4. [And later into S4, he learns some moderation of both risk and caution, but that's later.] Interestingly enough, I find that this parallels S1 -- Walt throws himself into the criminal world merely because he decided to cut loose and sort of say "fuck death, I'm in charge now", and the show has been all about the consequences of that attitude since. Anyway, Jesse basically does a shorter version of that in the beginning of S4. Jokingly, I suppose you could say Jesse broke bad here (lmao). This makes sense, as S4 centers upon a sort of role reversal in status between Walt and Jesse, and so, naturally, if Jesse is supposed to take up Walt's position of power, he's going to have to parallel Walt and reflect that same recklessness.

If you could see one character from BCS getting their own spinoff, who would it be? (Excluding Gus and Mike because they already have one, it’s called Better Call Saul)

Gene will end up the same way as Walter White?

The show's ethos -as well in BB- has been every action has consequences and nobody escapes them. But I can't help but think that Gene/Saul/Jimmy story will end up good for him because deep down he is not as despicable as Walter White. Just a thought. What do you think?

Ted and Walt are parallels

Sounds odd, but let me explain why. In relation to Skyler, both Ted and Walt are people that she's laundered money for (and fucked, but that's beside the point). People who, regardless of Skyler providing the resources for them to stop committing their respective crimes, continue to commit those crimes anyway. Walt keeps cooking meth even though Skyler gives him many incentives to stop, Ted keeps evading the IRS even though Skyler gave him the money to get them off his heels. Both decisions eventually lead to the demise and misfortune of the two men, all while Skyler plays an exasperated accomplice to them. Both men also say they are committing and hiding their crimes from their families to "provide and protect them". Furthermore, when Ted first receives Skyler's money, the first thing he does is go out and buy a fancy new car. This hedonism is later paralleled by Walt in S5A, where after he remakes all the money lost to Ted, he goes out and gets fancy new cars for both him and Walt Jr.

I wanna see a Walking Dead series set abroad

Is that ever going to happen?

Yeah, we got parts of season 2 taking place in Mexico, but I wish they kept that location. It's something different. Also, language barriers and American/Mexican prejudices might have made for interesting storylines.
