Did Dale actually spoke to the prisoner? (Season 2 Show Spoilers)

During Season 2, Dale was very vocal about not killing the prisoner on the grounds that he may be useful for the group. Everyone who spoken to the prisoner agreed that he should be killed because of what he said about his group and the fact that he knew Maggie and potentially the farm's location. Dale never spoken to the prisoner and yet he was sure that they should give the prisoner a chance to contribute to the group despite everyone who spoken to him and their opinion.

I do know the actor that plays Dale quit the show. Then he wanted to come back on the show but they already written him out and budget the episode.

Was Dale's lack of speaking to the prisoner a result of the actor's resignation or was it just a oversight on the writers?

Question about Brock

I'm doing a rewatch of the show and I have a question about how got Brock got into the hospital. At first Jesse thought it was ricin, but come to find out it wasn't. Apparently, Brock ate some seeds from a flower called lily of the field. At the end of the episode, the camera shows the flower in Walt's backyard. So did Walt give Brock the flower or did one of Guss' guys do it?

Jane's death

Since I'm now waiting over a year for Game of Thrones to come back, I've decided to go back and watch re-watch BB again (for like the 3rd-4th time ☺).

Two things I noticed in the ABQ episode that I don't think were by accident.

1) When Jane's dad is picking out a dress to bury Jane in, out of all the "black and gray" dresses that are in Jane's closet, he picks out a blue dress for her to wear. Since blue seems to be a running theme throughout the show (blue meth, Skylar often wearing blue, even tbe name "Skylar" sort of represents the sky and the color blue).

2) When it cuts to Jane's dad doing the air traffic control stuff right before the plane crash, it cuts to the screen and one of the planes he is controlling has the initials JM. Jane Margolis. It would be easy to see why he would have been distracted enough to eff things up to cause the plane crash.

This maybe has obvious to lots of people for awhile, but outside of AMC re-runs, this is the first time I've really sat down and watched the whole series again in like 2 years. ;)

Not sure if it was Five-0 or the episode after, but when he was sitting in the police station with his former colleague and there was that big wall of wanted people. Did anyone else pause to see if any of them were in BB?

Anyone out there wish there was an epilogue?

I just finished the series for the first time ever (holy shit, what took me so long?!!) and as much as I loved this show, I somehow felt a little shortchanged on the ending. Not Walt's ending (I loved it), but just the end. I normally have no problem with ‘ambiguous’ endings and maybe this is just me being upset that it’s over and wanting more, but I really want to know what happened to certain people after Walt’s death. Jesse would be number one on that list. Anyone else?

If you liked Douglas Adams' humor, you gotta watch Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency

Netflix recommended this show to me and while the description didn't sound that interesting, I decided to give it a try.

I loved it. Just finished watching Season 2. It's got a great cast, Douglas Adam's humor, it's exciting, and very confusing.

I never heard about it before, so I decided to make this thread!

Plot hole discovered on re-watch

I love this show and I have tried poking holes in the plot and failed because its so well written.

However upon a 2nd rewatch my wife actually discovered an interesting, though rather inconsequential plot hole.

In the season 4 finale Walt senses that Gus may have guys at his house waiting to jump him, so he calls his neighbor Becky to go check if he "left his stove on". She goes in while Walt watches and two thugs come out from the backyard. Becky leaves unharmed.

This is a good scene and shiws how smart Walt can be BUT in a previous episode we saw Walts kitchen was filled with all sorts of crazy shit for making a pipe bomb. This was all laying out and Becky definitelly would have seen it.

If you think Walt cleaned this shit up, then watch the season 5 premiere where he rushes home to...clean everything up.

Its not an important plot hole, but Becky would have seen all this crazy shit and most likely called the cops. Or at the very least mentioned it to Walt when she called him back.

Just finished the series! Pissed, upset, and curious!

I just finished the series for the first time(definitely gonna watch again!) Its become one of my favorite shows despite my mixed emotions. I'm really pissed at Walt jr. for blaming his dead for grabbing the knife, and just being a spoiled fucking cockbag during the series. Im upset because I feel like if the cancer didn't come back Walt was already in deep enough shit to where the series could've continued awhile longer somehow reuniting with Jesse.(But not all shows have happy endings.) I just felt incomplete when it ended. I'm also curious on why Walt was such an asshole on that phone call, and insinuating that he killed Hank and threatening Skyler, was it to make sure she didn't do anything drastic?? The part that upsets me the most is Jesses last scene when driving away in the car, he's happy he escaped, he's yelling "YEAH!" But why couldn't he have said "YEAH BITCH!" Just one more time?

Edit: not sure why the font looks weird but I can't change it

[NO SPOILERS] No trailers

For the final season of the show, HBO should only release 10 seconds or less of teasers, I'm talking minimal information, like just show the premier date. This also includes trashing the "next week on GOT" preview after each episode. I find that now a days previews give way too much away and kind of ruin the element of surprise or at least give us an idea of whats going to happen. Now yes you could just say well don't watch them, but if your like me and use the same sites everyday for news/entertainment (yahoo) they know what you are interested in and always have article captions that give a lot away. They don't need to amp people up or promote for the biggest show on television at this point, lets just go in fresh and enjoy it.

I've been a long time lurker of this sub and I have never seen this asked here if it has the I apologize. After re watching the series over the weekend My favorite monologue has always been Catelyn's in Dark Wings, Dark Words" to this day its still my favorite scene of the entire series.

My favorite line has always been when Ned bit back at Cersei '' I was also trained to kill my enemies your grace'' after talked about his brother it seemed a bit out of character of Ned to hit back that way but I always thought it was perfect for what she said to him.

Looks like we got a new showrunner?

"AMC has announced a new showrunner, Angela Kang, who has been with the series as a writer and co-exec producer since 2011. She succeeds Scott Gimple, who will now oversee both The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead in his new position as the franchise’s chief content officer.

Kang is the fourth showrunner to preside over the hit zombie drama. Gimple previously replaced Glen Mazzara, who departed the show after Season 3 over creative differences. Mazzara took over for original series helmer Frank Darabont, who abruptly left after Season 1."

My prediction for what will happen in S8E9

A lot of this will sound stupid, but this is Gimple we're talking about here. Anyway, here I go:

On their way to the Sanctuary, Ezekiel manages to talk Gavin into releasing him, but before Gavin can do so, Morgan, having not heard Ezekiel and Gavin's conversation, kills Gavin and frees Ezekiel himself.

Aaron and Enid are brought into Oceanside, where the Oceanside women hold a “trial” for Natania’s murder to decide their fate. Enid says that what happened was her fault and that she pulled the trigger, but Aaron volunteers to stay at Oceanside and allow the women to have sex with him (realizing that since there are no men around many of them likely feel depraved) if Enid is released. Since Aaron is gay, (which the Oceanside women don't know) this is treated as a very brave and heroic action on his part, since he is subjecting himself to something that would disgust him to ensure Enid’s safety. Beatrice accepts Aaron’s offer, and as Enid is released, Aaron tells her about baby Gracie and where to find her, giving her the responsibility of taking care of her. Enid promises to do so and then leaves.

Negan announces to his men at the Sanctuary that they will now be coating their weapons with saliva from the mouths of Walkers. He also confronts Dwight and gives him the task of killing Rick with a saliva-coated crossbow bolt. Laura told Negan that Dwight is a traitor, but Negan believes that it is also possible that Laura is the traitor and is framing Dwight because he caught her in the act, which Dwight says was the case. The task that Negan gave Dwight is his way of allowing Dwight to prove his true allegiance- if Dwight kills Rick, Negan will kill Laura, but if Dwight doesn’t kill Rick, Negan will kill Dwight.

Eugene gives himself a bruise on his forehead (by slamming his head against a wall) to trick Negan into believing that Harlan knocked him out before escaping with Father G. This works.

Harlan and Father G go to Hilltop, where Harlan reclaims his office and uses medicine on Father G to do away with what remains of his illness.

Carl is brought back above ground once the coast is clear because Rick doesn’t want him to die in a sewer. They decide to head to Hilltop since Alexandria is no longer safe and Rick doesn’t want the last thing his son sees be a destroyed and ravaged place that once thrived with life. Halfway there, Carl slowly begins to succumb to the infection and it becomes clear that he won’t make it there. Blaming himself for Carl’s state, Siddiq volunteers to put him down. The last thing that Carl tells Rick is to not let his bloodlust and desire for revenge get the better of him.

In a flashback set between S7E16 and S8E1, Carl confronts Rick about how he acted when Negan was about to kill him, and asks his father if, in that moment, he feared for Carl’s life, or if he only cared about killing Negan. Rick says that of course he was afraid of losing Carl, but Carl doesn’t believe him and tells Rick, again, not to let his desire for vengeance get the better of him.

Once they get to Hilltop, Michonne tells Rick about what Daryl did with the truck, and Rick, realizing that this helped the Saviors get out, exiles Daryl. Feeling sympathetic towards Daryl due to seeing her involvement in Sasha’s death as similar to Daryl’s mistake, Rosita goes after Daryl.

The episode ends with Carl’s funeral and another close-up faces montage.

[No Spoilers] Picture: Highgarden from 7 kilometers away

So I recently moved to Southern Spain and last weekend I took a trip to Almodóvar del Río, or as we know it, Highgarden. We went on a Sunday and bus access is terrible on Sundays, so we had to walk for about an hour and half to get back to our train station. Fortunately, I got a pretty good shot out of the deal with a couple of those flying, propellor, kite-car things in the sky. Maybe it's worth your time, idk. I'm not usually one for sharing photos, but I quite like it.

[EVERYTHING] Does anybody else hope we see one of Blackfyre or Dark Sister (the ancestral swords of house Targaryen) in the final season?

In the books Dark sister is rumored to be with Blood Raven. This was already a missed opportunity for season 6 in my mind. Black Fyre was last seen with the golden company in Essos. With the golden company coming into the fold in s8, and the importance of Valyrian steel emphasized in s7, I see the perfect opportunity to introduce at least one of these legendary blades.

If the original group had stayed together, how well would they be doing now?

That is if the group from the beginning of the show was able to sort out their differences and maintained the group with everyone alive and with everyone that joined the group that had a speaking role merle/Shane/otis/Hershel/Sasha/oscar etc etc

How would that group be handling things now? Would their current war and conflicts be a cake walk that is to say a lot easier?

[EVERYTHING] On a scale from 1 to 10, how much of a mistake was it to leave Edmure Tully out of Season 7?

I heard he's coming back for Season 8, and I'm glad.

But shouldn't we have had a bit of info on him and his family? Is he still at the Twins or did the Lannisters take him with them? Did Arya know where he was when she killed all the Freys (literally all the male heirs)? Did Edmure starve to death in a cell because no one remembered about him or what?

I would have loved a scene, a short one, where "someone" kills Edmure's prison guard(s) and breaks him free, leaving him asking himself who that was.

Also, what about Roslin? What about their child? She's one of the few surviving heirs to House Frey and their child is the legitimate heir to House Tully and... rightful ruler of Riverrun and the Trident?

Even if Edmure couldn't claim those (let's say the Freys have a right of conquest), would Roslin and Edmure's child inherit them from grandpa Walder? Or is there any child before him in the line?

So many unanswered questions, and this is about one of the major 9 houses (Tully) and one of the most important ones in Westeros (Frey). They could have included just a few mentions about the whole thing in S7.

I discovered a continuity error that screws with the timelines. (x-post /r/BreakingBad)

This is an x-post to /r/BreakingBad and was written as such.

Intro

Hey everyone.

As with most of the people who frequent this subreddit, I enjoy rewatching Breaking Bad. It seems that every time I watch it, I pick up on something new or something that I missed the previous time through.

Today, while browsing the /r/BetterCallSaul, I saw them speaking about a the timeline of BCS. I won't get into that for spoiler reasons, but I noticed a problem with Breaking Bad's timeline.

The Evidence

Okay, so to begin with, we are under the assumption that the timeline for Breaking Bad starts around 2008 and ends about 2 years later. This has been the generally accepted timeline for Breaking Bad since the beginning as this was when the show started.

While rewatching this time through, I noticed a little problem in S05E04.

When Walt buys himeself and Junior new cars, they leave them parked in the driveway and go inside. Skyler comes home and notices the new cars and the camera zooms in on what appears to be a temporary registration tag in the rear window of Walt's car.

I did some searching on the internet and came up with what appears to be a similar document that is a New Mexico DMV Temporary Vehicle Registration plate. It looks like this.

In the aforementioned episode, Skyler notices a similar looking tag. It looks like this.

If you notice, the date of the purchase is right in the middle of the tag. The tag on Walt's car appears to say Aug/12/12. This is almost 3 years later than the generally accepted timeline.

Not to mention, while I am not a car person, in looking at pictures of Dodge Challengers online, it appears that Junior's is from 2012 instead of 2009 as it should be.

What this means

Well, to be quite honest, it probably doesn't actually mean anything because it was likely just a production error. A part of me wants to think that all of Breaking Bad takes place in a later timeline in an alternate reality where touch screen phones and things of that nature do not exist.

In Conclusion

Just a small observation I noticed. I'm going to x-post this to /r/BetterCallSaul as they are discussing timelines currently over there, but as it was more Breaking Bad related, I though I'd make the actual post here.

Saw The Post a week ago and just want to thank the directors and producers for that BCS easter egg.

I wanted to post this on the BCS sub but I've not yet finished the series, so I'll stick it here.

In The Post, Bob Odenkirk stars as Ben Bagdikian, an American journalist who works for The Washington Post. I believe the most iconic scenes of BCS (and the one defining it) are the pay phone montages. When I saw Bob's character in The Post at a payphone and dropping a pile of quarters, I chuckled. To me, it highlights the role Bob is likely to be remembered for.

(Spoilers) Could the shows be swapping arcs?

Thinking about recent events on both shows. Carl dying, Morgan going to ftwd, the time jump, and the hints of bypassing the whisperers arc, and Gimple overseeing both shows. I wonder if we won't see something drastic like an arc from twd comic being introduced into ftwd instead of the main show.

Like maybe the whisperers don't appear on twd but instead become part of ftwd and Nick takes on the Carl story line.

Having Morgan go over really connects the shows to the point where they could merge shows if need be. In the unlikely event amc cancels ftwd the producers just take the most popular characters and bring them over to the main show. Not suggesting it will happen, just pointing out that the time jump and Morgan swapping shows opens that door.

Just spitballing random thoughts.

[MAIN SPOILERS] S1E1 Conversation between Benjen and Snow

I am sick with the flu so I started watching again because ya...

During the feast when Rob comes to Winterfell, there is a scene where Benjen talks to Jon Snow outside, because he's not welcome at the feast.

Jon wants to join the watch as he is fed up with being treated as a second fiddle (bastard).

Benjen says "the wall will always be there."

Jon "I'm ready to take the oath" in response

B "you don't understand what you'd be giving up. We have no families. None of us can ever father sons."

J "I DONT CAREY ABOUT THAT"

B "You might, if you knew what it meant"

Then he just peaces out and is like see ya later Jonny!

This got me thinking, does Benjen know Jon's true parents? Does Ned tell him?

Characters I would like to more of.

There are a lot of side characters that don't do much. I'm curious what other people think. Here's who I think should be shown more:

Diane - She seems badass and also like she's been through some shit. Would like to learn more about her and her past.

Scott - He's been around for awhile but barely does anything. Again I want to know more about him.

Laura - I don't know what it is but she just seems so down to earth and badass. Definately want to see her join Rick.

Gavin - Seems like a normal, reasonable dude. Hope he sticks around.

Barbara - One of the few original Alexandrians. Would like to know more about her before she inevitable joins the pit of offed side characters.

What do you think about Better Call Saul?

I only watch it because of the connections with BrBa (developing side characters like Saul, Mike and now Gus more, showing some cameo's etc.) but I feel like overall they are dragging it out.

The story could have been told in 3 seasons but in so me ways it feels like things are just finally getting more interesting (S2 especially was full of filler). BrBa seemed to be much better crafted and (almost) never wasted any time

I found that the ending of Season 4 was actually kind of uplifting, we don't find out that Walt poisoned the child, he gets Gus, he is friends again with Jesse. In his words "He won". I found Season 5 to be quite the downer, whereas season 4 makes me think Walt redeemed himself somehow.

[COMIC SPOILERS] & [SHOW SPOILERS] Season 9 adaptation predictions

At this point I'm more excited about season 9 than 8B since we all know how it's gonna end with the whole Rick Carl Negan triangle. Youtubers like MOVIEidol or Trevschan2 predicted that season 9 will contain only volumes 22,23&24 which I found it not realistic. The whisperers arc is my favorite one from the comics but I found it hard to belive that AMC will do the same mistake from season 7. There's no need to stretch a whole season with conversations from Alexandria and only a few action events ( Jesus saving Magna's group, Dante being captured by Alpha, Jesus capturing Lydia, Carl saving Sophia from the boys, the trade from the Hilltop gates, and the border scene). What I think is better to do is to finish the midseason finale with volume 24 and have the other half for volumes 25&26 (No turning back & Call to arms ) showing where Negan truly stand before the war. In conclusion they should start right of the bat and introduce the whisperers in episode 9.01 ending with Marco & Ken (or who they chose to adapt) hearing the speaking herd from issue 130. Thoughts, preferences or other predictions?

Game of Thrones will probably have a huge backlash to its ending similar to the ones faced by Lost and Battlestar Galactica

For me Game of Thrones feels like a successor to Lost and Battlestar Galactica, two hugely successful shows that proved that genre shows could have the serialization aspects of the post Sopranos age and be just as critically acclaimed as the best dramas on HBO or FX at that time. Just like Game of Thrones, these two shows had massive followings which dissected every episode and produced massive discussion and theorizing about every little detail in the show. Just like Game of Thrones, both of them had backlashes in the middle of their run with many people complaining that the show wasn't as good as it was in it's earlier seasons or that the show mistreated a character.

Since Game of Thrones is so popular now, not everyone will agree with the shows ending. I expect a massive backlash similar to the ones that Lost and BSG received at the end of their finales with a lot of fans complaining that they weren't given all the answers or some other problem. What do you think?

(Also one more thing. I do believe that X Files, Buffy , The Prisoner and Twilight Zone were just as important for genre television as Lost and BSG. It's just that none of these are particularly as serialized as these two nor did they exist in a time where every episode would be dissected online in a matter of minutes)

what is Saul's motivation?

Why would Saul keep living as Gene? His life seems monotonous and he is trapped, he is not his loud, colorful self at all. He can't work as a lawyer after all the effort he put in becoming one and provng his brother he can be a real lawyer. He's all alone. Why wouldn't he try to kill himself or try and escape?

How would you rank all seasons of TWD and FTWD combined?

Sorry if this type of thread has already been done in the past! I know there have been plenty of separate TWD and Fear rankings but I've never seen a thread on here that ranks the seasons of both shows combined (hence why I made this).

My own personal ranking:

  1. The Walking Dead Season 4
  2. Fear The Walking Dead Season 3
  3. The Walking Dead Season 2
  4. The Walking Dead Season 1
  5. Fear The Walking Dead Season 2
  6. The Walking Dead Season 3 (it might be among the worst in the writing department but at the same time it also had incredible entertainment value and I absolutely loved characters like Merle, Milton and The Governor)
  7. Fear The Walking Dead Season 1
  8. The Walking Dead Season 6
  9. The Walking Dead Season 5
  10. The Walking Dead Season 7
  11. The Walking Dead Season 8

[EVERYTHING]Quotes/moments that struck rather close to home for you?

So many memorable quotes from this show of course, often the best ones are the ones you can relate to. this one gets me the most recently:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47MazYDnmaU

I've always been the best employee at my job with Tim Hortons, super skilled at everything I do, but for years I never really took myself or the job seriously. I was in my early 20s when I started, now I'm 30. About half a year ago the manager quit with rather short notice, creating a power vacuum in the restaurant. Around this time the store owner approached me and we had a bit of a discussion about the future of this business, and how much potential he thinks I have. Basically telling me now is the time to step up, used the specific words that I need to "be the man I was always meant to be".

Really reminded me of this scene, but it really did strike true, I was ready to start growing up finally and that was a big trigger for me. I was triple promoted within two months as the store manager, which is actually a pretty decently paying gig, so that's cool.

Oddly enough, as similar as those words were to Tywin's, he's never watched Game of Thrones.

[TV] Maisie Williams Confirms When Game of Thrones Season 8 Will Premiere

“We wrap in December and we air our first episode in April,” Williams said. “That’s a four-month turnaround for these huge episodes.”

She further added that there is a lot of work involved to get the final edit right. It is not a secret that fans want to sink their teeth into the last season as soon as possible. However, it is important that the production team does not cave in to the massive demand and start rushing the episodes.

“You would not want to rush this season at all,” Williams continued. “We owe it to our audience and our fans to really do this final season to the best of our abilities.”

[main spoilers] the potential of the Game of Thrones.

So I haven’t read the books, but I did look up grrm to get a better understanding of this epic world he has created. I understand there are 2 more books in the series yet to be published and he may be taking his sweat time to finish them if ever. But whatever, it’s his thing and he’s the man. But he’s also in his late 60s and who knows how much creative time he has left. The series has a large devoted following and after 6 more episodes it’s over; there may be some prequels, but that’s it as far as we know. The issue I see is there is so much potential to take the story in so many different directions with so many characters (past and present), and so many places and story lines. And of course this thing can be a gold mine financially if they don’t fuck it up. So if grrm is not interested or is no longer around, you would think somebody has plans to buy the rights to create and tell these stories. I mean the potential is endless as long as the audience wants it. The foundation is set and it’s about putting out a quality product. So what are the stories they can tell that would interest you to continue with this thing

Origins of Baby Gracie

I re-watched the intro of episode Season 7, episode 3 (The Cell) where we are following Dwight as he makes his sandwich. At the scene where he gets the bread, notice the Savior at the upper left, he's the man Rick fought before finding baby Gracie. Continue watching the intro and you'll see this Savior throw the first punch on this one man taking off his shirt in anger. Dwight writes down his number and visits his bunk, and from what I can gather it's left to believed he was beat to death. When Dwight finds the canned pickles he turns around and looks at the two people, one of which has red hair, and the other is pregnant.

Later on in season 7,episode 11 (Hostiles and Calamities) we see the person with the long red hair again stealing something in front of Eugene. Eugene doesn't mention anything, but what is Eugene gifted? Pickles!

Could it be that the man Rick killed and was believed to be Gracie's dad actually took it upon himself to raise the child after he himself was the one to actually kill Gracie's dad? I don't recall seeing the pregnant women any more since that moment with Dwight, and as TV goes, this could all be rubbish.

Question about timeline post Breaking Bad

So I just saw Granite State. In it, we see Saul Goodman’s last scene in Breaking Bad, where it’s shown that he moves to Nebraska.

This episode has a timeskip and by the end, almost a year has passed. Walter’s hair is back and he’s on his way back from New Hampshire.

My question is, are the “Gene” scenes at the mall happening during/in the middle of this timeskip (before Felina), or do they take place after Walt dies and B.B. is over?

During the last stand, when Negan arrives at the Hilltop, I can't wait for Negan to be captured after Rick slices his throat like in the comics. I also think when Rick is talking to Negan at the hilltop it's going to be like the Season 4 MSF when Rick is talking to the Governer through the fence. Even though this season has been pretty bad, im still excited for "The battle at the Hilltop" and season 9

Quick question about a scene in the finale

How exactly was it that Walter put ricin in the stevia that Lydia was going to use? He couldn't 've done it during the scene when they were talking. I think it would raise at least an eyebrow or two if he just waltzed into the restaurant, messed with the condiments on the table, and then left prior to her coming in.

Just what was Walt's Plan at the end?

At the compound, he sees that Jesse was actually used as a slave so he tackled him to escape the gunfire. But...he didn't know that driving in, so was he just going to stand there and get hit like everyone else? Was this really a suicide mission or did he plan to make it out alive? It plays out that he did end up getting hit by some shrapnel or ricochet. He couldn't have planned that, obviously.

[MAIN SPOILERS] Will we ever see 'west of Westeros'?

So I'm doing my, at this point, far more often than yearly re-watch of the show. I got to S6E8 'No One'.

Arya tells Lady Bianca that she wants to see what is west of Westeros.

Essos is east, and Westeros is west, but what is west of Westeros? I don't know. Nobody does, it's where all the maps stop. The edge of the world maybe? I'd like to see that.

I remember being excited to see this story unfold. However in season 7 Arya does what everyone wants and crosses off the names on her list, which leaves the west of Westeros story by the wayside.

Do you think we could see west of Westeros before the end? Perhaps all else fails and a mass migration begins to find somewhere safe? Just spitballing.

Watching the whole series again made me realize...

Watching the whole series again made me realize why everyone prefers the old seasons compared to the new ones.

In the begining everyone was in search of a place to hunker down. You never knew what was around the corner, who you were going to meet how many walkers you would have to kill. The group was never put together and that's what made it great. There was not only tension because there was the threat of walkers killing everyone, but there were threats in the group. For instance even though season 2 at the farm was boring and pointless as they were looking for Sophia the whole time. What saved that season was the tension between Shane and Dale, Rick and Shane, and Rick with his dying relationship with Lori. In the current season there is not sense of curiosity. The characters don't seem to care what else is out there, the last time they wanted to explore is when they were going to go to Washington. I'm the earlier seasons they always had hope of finding refuge, now they are staying put in Alexandria. The war has been going on for two seasons now and two seasons too long in my opinion.

TLDR: less exploration, less group in fighting, war has gone on too long

Maybe I just miss Dale and his eyebrows. That could be it.

[SPOILERS] You're the new showrunner, you're asked to reshoot season 8b. What do you do?

Do you use the whisperer bite trick to put Carl under the dumpster?

How do you end the AOW arc?

How do you deal with the trash people?

Which characters do you kill?

Side question : AMC insists that you end the season with a cliffhanger. How do you do that?

[Everything] Cersei end of season 7

Cersei is claiming to be pregnant again by Jamie, however I am very dubious about whether she is or not. The reasons I feel this are as follows:

First of all, the prophecy, which says she will only have three children, “gold their crowns and gold their shrouds”. I know she told Catelyn about the black haired baby, but in the books, she actually had an abortion, acquired by Jaime, on the only occasion that she became pregnant by Robert.

On the other hand, the pregnancy could always not go to term, still fulfilling the three children aspect of the prophecy, especially if it happens very early on.

Secondly, given the number of times she and Jaime had sex, and only three children being born, it makes me wonder about her fertility. Tommen was 9 in the books, and older if the TV series is to be used as evidence. Joffrey was 14, and Myrcella was a year older than Tommen, so there were 5 years between the three children. If you add in to that the amount that Cersei was drinking, the stress in her life, as well as the poor diet during her imprisonment in the Sept, it’s entirely possible that she is merely having irregular periods that she is interpreting as pregnancy. Even a hangover could be mistaken as morning sickness.

The period of time and the technology at hand is pretty much similar to the medieval period of Britain, and there weren’t any reliable pregnancy tests around at that time. Any missing periods could be seen as pregnancy, and quite famously, Mary Tudor had false pregnancies, one of which may well have been a tumour that eventually killed her. She had at least one period of lying in, when she was “due”, but no baby was born, and she eventually had to come out of her chambers as childless as she went in.

There is also the possibility of a phantom pregnancy. We already know that she has mental health problems because she suffers badly from paranoia, and having lost three children in pretty quick succession (one of which was directly caused by her actions, although she chooses to blame Tyrion instead), I would assume she is suffering from depression as well. It could be that she is so desperate to be pregnant that her body is giving all the signs without her actually carrying a child.

Finally, she seems to fear she is losing Jaime’s loyalty, as he has drawn back from her more than once, and while she was a prisoner of the High Sparrow, she messaged Jaime telling him to come at once, which he didn’t. Her paranoia will see him as possibly turning against her as so many others have already, and the news of another child could just be a way to try to bind him to her side. We know she is not above lying to get her own way, and this could just be another example of that.

I don’t know really. Is she pregnant? Is she faking it, knowingly or unknowingly? Could it be that she’s just mistaken because her periods are out of whack because of her lifestyle and incarceration? Could it be a deliberate lie, and the last straw that will see Jaime snap and kill her when he finds out about her duplicity, thus completing the prophecy about the Valonquar?

Personally I’m leaning towards her not being pregnant, but thinking she is, but continuing the lie to Jaime once she discovers the truth, then him finding out. Anyone else have any thoughts?

[S1] Robert’s instructions

While rewatching season 1, I noticed a plot element that really didn’t make any sense. When Robert dies and gives his will to Ned, how the fuck was Cersei allowed to just straight up ignore it and tear it up? Robert clearly signed off on it, and the Baratheon seal was unbroken. Ned was supposed to be protector of the realm and serve as temp king till Joffrey came of age. Even though Ned wrote “rightful heir” instead of Joffrey specifically, he hadn’t made any indication yet that he was pulling for Stannis, so nobody should have questioned anything.

I just don’t understand how Cersei and Joffrey just instantly have complete power over Ned and could do literally whatever they wanted the second Robert died, even when Robert himself had a plan laid out that went against their motives.

Can anyone explain?

Crazy 8

I watched the first 3 episodes again tonight and realized that Walter learns almost everything from Crazy 8 while he is locked in Jesse's basement.

  1. He learns that he can trust no one besides Jesse. 2.Crazy 8 also gives him the "you have two options" speech that Walter uses multiple times through out the series.
  2. Walter also learns how to kill a man to make sure he can continue to flourish.

It was interesting to see how quickly Walter learned these things and from whom he did.

I dont feel bad for mikes death, heres why.

Look I KNOW and agree that Mike is a super loveable character. He comes off as a wise, been there done that grandpa figure (which in reality is what he is) but yeah, I'm sure we all love mikes character for the most part.

However I recently got into a debate with my dad how he was pissed at Walt for killing him and thought mike didn't deserve his death...

I can see where anyone saying this is coming from, but here's my.opinion on this, and take it for what it is, opinion...

We seem to forget Mike's JOB was killing people. Most of the time, other bad guys, but let's be honest, with the amount of time he's been in that job under Gus and doing assassin work, he's most likely killed his fair share of good people too, who his superiors made him kill for whatever given reason.

Mike IS a killer. He has ended so many lives and probably ruined so many lives of said people's family members etc. Mike, while loveable, is still a pretty bad person when it comes down to the facts of it all.

Now, onto the situation between him and Walter, yes, Walter didn't HAVE to kill mike because he could've gotten the names from Lydia, but I mean really? Mike knew his day off reckoning was coming, from.the moment Gus was killed. He was f*cked from.that day, as Gus was his protection, and without Gus mike couldn't have gotten away with so many murders.

Whatever you believe in, whether it be karma, luck, or nothing, morally I think we can all agree, mike was no saint, and definitely probably deserved his death, even if it didn't logically make sense for Walter to do so.

That's all I got though. Interested to hear anyone else's opinions.

Who could change the current story if they were alive?

Titles says it all, who could juristically change the story if they lived their fate. Not just who is your favorite and you want them back. If you really want to, explain. I'd love to read them all c: I would like if Andrea was excluded since her place was kind of taken. If there is a good idea you have with Andrea feel free though.

I would say Abraham. Sasha would most likely be alive still. The urge to kill Negan would be toned down with Sasha and Rosita, thus Negan living st the end of the season is a bit more understandable. Maybe Eugene would still be with Ricks group too.

[SPOILERS] Question about S5

So I'm watching the reruns on AMC and they just aired the episode where Jesse is about to go away for good before he finds out Huell took his weed. Doing so makes him believe that Huell also took ricin off him to poison Brock in order to help Walt.

Jesse confronts Saul about this and he confirmed that it was Walt's idea to steal it in order to "help" Jesse or whatever. I thought Walt used that Lily of the Valley plant to poison Brock? Not ricin?

[SPOILERS] Watching the show again and introducing it to my SO

We just finished season 1. She’s never seen the show past S2E1 before. I’m pretty stoked for her to get to watch it all unfold. And it’ll be interesting to see how her feelings about the various characters (especially Walter, obviously) change over the course of the series. She’s still very sympathetic to Walter. For example, she felt bad for him when he was vomiting at school because of the chemo. It made me realize how numb I was to any of his plight, considering the person he ends up becoming by the end.

Has anyone else gotten to have this experience of watching the show again but with someone who hasn’t seen it before? It’s tough for me to rein in some of my reactions to little things that turn out to have larger significance later...

Also, I opened YouTube just now, and this video was at the top of my feed. How ominous!

[EVERYTHING] Any Melisandre theories out there?

She's been the biggest mystery since joining the show imo. Her motivations/ end goal has always been tricky to pin point. The only foreshadowing I can think of is that her s8 arc will somehow involve Arya, since she prophesized meeting with her again.

The most common theory I see is that she's retrieving some kind of army of light. But this doesn't make sense imo, considering Tyrion has already won over a seemingly more important priestest in Kinvara. If they had an army, wouldn't they have followed Dany to Westeros? Especially if they only chose to side with Tyrion because they knew of the WW threat

[S5] Finale - Just finished watching it and...

Is me again. I've never watch Game of Thrones, I started watching it in 2017, don't know why I waited this long to do so. Is fucking good. I was the one asking a month ago about how Danery's was immune to fire, and how the many face man was captured when he was a pro. I almost got a mini heart attack when I saw the fake him die. I hope he is alive, whoever he is. Cersei Lannister got watch she deserved. Too bad she isn't dead, yet. What happened to Myrcella Baratheon was sad. She didn't deserve to die. Poor, Jaime Lannister after one of his children accepted him. I know that he crippled Brandon Stark, but all the same, I've forgiven him. I just like him ...don't know why. I hope Stannis Baratheon burns in hell for killing Shireen, and that Melisandre will burn in the seven hells for this. Well, Jon snow isn't dead or is he? I know he comes back in Season 6. Damn, spoilers. I also knew that he is related to the Mother of Dragons because of people talking about spoilers everywhere I go.

I'm just going to finish the next two remaining seasons. But tell me will it ruin my bend watch if I already got the spoilers on the following:

  • A dragon dies and turns into a white walker.

  • The Night King destroys the wall with his Ice Dragon.

  • Petyr Baelish is killed by Arya and Sansa.

  • Jon Snow comes back to life somehow because he is Aegon Targaryen. Whatever that means. His father is a Targaryen.

  • Jon and Danery's have incest.

Yeah, that's all I remember from the back of my head. Damn You Spoilers! Should I continue? or Should I drop it? Also, can someone explain to me how the many face man works? lol I don't understand his "magic" face swap.

[EVERYTHING] So you wake up in Jon Snow's body, how do you deal with the WW invasion?

First things first, knowing how the NK reinforces his numbers you'd need to find a way to group up the population. So if your army pushes them back the NK can't just leave, re arm off a few un/ lightly protected cities. I'd send word for anyone capable to retreat to these locations; 1. Dorne. Anybody from lands south of King's landing ie the Stormlands and the reach should bring their people to Dorne. The mountain pass acts similarly to the Neck in the north in that it's easily defendable. 2. Harrenhall. For the rest of Westeros, that doesn't have the natural protection of Puke/ the Vale, running all the way to Dorne would be a long trip in the summer. Harrenhall is a massive castle conveniently located in the dead center of Westeros. Men from all over could flock to Harrenhall, unlike other more easily defended smaller castles like the Eerie or Storm's end.

At this point you know the final battle will be humanity's final stand. You throw everything at the NK to try and kill the head. A shield wall composed of unsullied and Westerosi knights protect the main gate, baiting the NK's army against the walls of Harrenhall where militia will rain down arrow fire from the battlements. Also use any wildfire you can get your hands on from King's landing (where I'm assuming if I'm Tyrion that Cersei is still making the stuff after you find out she's not on your side), Ballistas to shoot at the NK's dragon and any other tricks like Lava pots you can think up. Viseryon's flames hopefully keep the NK from roasting the castle, especially if it's being controlled by warg Bran.

As this happen you have to launch your Gandalf charge. The Dothraki and riders of the Vale charge from a hidden location on the frozen God's eye, led by a vanguard of Drogon/ Dany, Jon and EVERY knight with a Valyrian steel blade you can get your hand on. This includes all your living major characters; Jon, Jaime (or whoever takes his sword if he dies killing Cersei), Brienne, Beric (your red shirt), Arya and whoever Sam gives Heartsbane to (preferrably Jorah). There's so much plot protection in this squad that there's no way the NK could take em.

[MAIN SPOILERS] Lannister wedding ring

(#s3#e10) When does Sansa receive this Lannister ring?

The screenshot is from S3E10, but I can't seem to find the scene where Tyrion gives it to her.

[COMIC SPOILERS] Here's Negan timeline?

Just finished the last chapter of Here's Negan and noticed that is winter season due the fact of Negan giving Amber his jacket. Now that could mean that the timeline is around "Volume 3: Safety Behind Bars" or "Volume 15: We Find Ourselves". You guys have any specific info?

Do american neighbors really call police on you if you take their newspaper and leave $5 for them as compensation?

That seemed a bit far-fetched from Chuck's neighbors. So just wondering about the plausibility of it.

Hi there, I'm currently doing a personal research project for school looking at the downfall of Walt throughout the show, specifically his transition from good to bad and the reasons behind it.

If you could please answer the survey, it would be much appreciated. I will publish the results later.
