Just got around to watch the trailer...
We’re back with the same “we gotta help people with our somehow never ending supplies and look for them and try to help them when it’s probably the most dangerous thing to do in a Zombie apocalypse” shit.
Honestly worried, nothing about it seems interesting in the slightest bit, I don’t think it will be as bad as 4B, but then again, trailers are supposed to make it look good, just like the 4B trailer looked good.
I also don’t think it will be as good as any of the older seasons, even 4A for that matter.
Clearly the people at AMC don’t realize that bringing old and fan favorite characters won’t bring the show back to what it was when the people running the show have shits for brains.
That’s it.
You know what it is.

Funniest TWD Quotes? [possible show spoilers]
Even though walking dead is quite a serious show most of the time, there are some funny quotes. Which ones are your favourites?

About the universe in general..
I know, it's TV. But how in the world would Dwight stumble onto Morgan? It looks like radio communication is going to be prominent in all series from now on. But I just don't get the odds post Apocalypse. It's strange enough that Morgan just walked from Virginia to SW U.S. and stumbled onto FTWD. Like those were the first humans he saw in a cross country journey.

How does Hank end up next to the hollow point bullet?
I've seen the episode where Hank kills the cousins a few times. Iit looks like Hank is on one side of the car and the cousin is on the other when he reloads and drops the bullet. Hank falls where he stands and is a few inches from the bullet. For that to happen it seems they would've had to start out standing next to each other.

Recently started re-watched some previous episodes and what this saviour told Ezekiel in 8x04 cought my mind.
Around 2:30 He says "But your Head on a pike will do just fine"
Obviously some foreshadowing to the comics and to be honest, i'm so happy it didn't go down that way!
Do you think "The Calm Before" would've been better or worse with him getting piked?

Barry and Veep return tonight! Back-to-back on HBO.
Just a little reminder. Bill and Julia are also the two frontrunners for the Comedy Emmys. Two of my favourite shows and they're on at 10/10.30. This isn't sponsored I'm just excited lol.
It's also kinda interesting because these two are the frontrunners for the comedy Emmys and they haven't started yet. Same goes for Killing Eve (next Sunday) and Game of Thrones (the Sunday after that).
In two weeks time, Sundays are gonna be so good. Killing Eve at 8, Game of Thrones at 9, Barry at 10, Veep at 10:30. I'm so pumped.

What’s your favorite single season of any show ever?
I feel like we get a lot of what’s your favorite show ever. Now I want to know what your favorite season of any given show is. Maybe the show as a whole wasn’t that great but it had one perfect season. Or maybe pick the best season from the best show. Here are some of mine.
The Leftovers - Season 2
The Wire - Season 4
True Detective - Season 1
LOST - Season 4
Justified - Season 2
Deadwood - Season 1
Haunting of Hill House - Season 1
Parks and Recreation - Season 2 (I know many say S3 but I think S2 is a flawless run of episodes. There isn’t a single bad or even average episode from the premiere to the finale)
Community - Season 2
Mad Men - not sure. Maybe Season 3
Better Call Saul - Season 3

Quick synopsis of an idea for a season 5 opening
It opens with Gene pulling up to a gas station with a coat on. He pays for gas at the pump. Another car then pulls up to him and he is looking down while pumping. After he is finished pumping, he pulls up and buys coffee. He pays for the coffee while looking down and without saying anything. Going into the car, he sighs and turns on the car. He is driving and at the end of the opening there is a sign reading that Albuquerque is only 45 miles away. He is headed to Albuquerque. What happens between the season 4 cold open and the season 5 cold open is left for the last episodes

Any info on the yet-to-be-release Netflix Dark Crystal prequels?
Netflix announced they were going to release a prequel series (probably based off the comics) to Jim Henson's "The Dark Crystal" from the 1980's. I'm very, VERY excited, since I watched the movie not too long ago, and, even with all of the plotholes and unexaplained events or backstories, I really enjoyed it.
I was pretty excited to hear about Netflix announcing their in-progress prequel series. As such, I ask if anyone has any information regarding the plot, release date, cast, etc.

Okay I just finished the first season of the walking dead and I'm so sad. Its SUCH a good show and characters that I like are already dead 😥. Ik this show would be good from the start because I love the apocalyptic setting and zombie movies are always good so why not start a 9 season series of just that? I just love forming a bond with characters that don't even know me and see how things end up with them, good or bad. Its gonna be a long time till I'm caught up to everything but ik its gonna be one hell of a good and emotional ass ride. Glad I joined the fandom 😊

6x13 Since a lot of us are rewatching and doing appreciation threads can we just take a minute and look at Melissa McBride’s acting AND the character of Carol? Her ability to play weak to her advantage when she is stronger than everyone around her is simply incredible and like nothing I’ve seen in a TV series before. And watching Melissa give life to one of the most badass females ever makes even a bottle episode pretty damn amazing. I also love that IRL she seems so humble, like she literally lucked into this position because she knew Frank Darabont and otherwise the world may have never seen her magic outside of The Mist.

[S4 SPOILERS] Just finished S4, came here; why does it seem like everyone hates June?
Like, I can get hating her for her constant 'oh well you've left me alone for a couple seconds? time to run away!', but I think she's one of the few sensible characters on the show now that Madison is gone. She got a lot better late on for me, personally. She's got her cute little thing with Dorie, and her initial story with him I think made for a really neat episode in an otherwise eh season. She's also at the very least useful among the group by being a nurse.
I do hate Charlie though. Don't know why she's around. She shot and killed Nick, why hasn't she run away like she's bound to or gotten sliced by Alicia? She's like the sole reason everything went to hell.

Hi Mr. Gimple and co. I know you’re not used to a post on here that doesn’t insult your intelligence or looks or decision making skills. But don’t worry this is a safe place. Now I’m asking you nicely, probably for the first time from anyone ever, pretty pretty please bring back Madison Clark we miss her very much and feel that she can come back now thank you!
Alright guys expect results in 0-10 years I’ve hit them hard and now they’ll be forced to retaliate.

Some things that happened at walker stalker
• avi nash said 'when siddiq's son grows up he will...' then paused for a long time and said 'I mean he or she' • khary paton seemed to imply someone might die next episode • lydia's actress cassady mcclincy was so nice, she made an effort to hug and talk to everyone for a long time. • Ross marquand kept accidently letting it slip that daryll would die next episode, josh mcdermit said his favourite thing was how less people laugh each time they say it. • josh said that he things Eugene sees himself as rositas boyfriend and is much more selfless and part of the community now • Judith said her dream pet for the apocalypse would be a dolphin

S5 means nothing if Gimple two puppet showrunner are start running Fear
These guys can't write a scripts to save their lives. Their don't understand FTWD character either. Strand was reduced to a drunk. Alicia was pushed to the sidelines. Their killed off Madison which cause rating to collapse after. I bet when Daniel and Troy returned their will be all reformed and only want pacifism. With Troy being Morgan student in "All life is precious". You're also telling me that Gimple hired these two puppets who have the worst track record ever. I wouldn't be surprised if FTWD rating declined even further. I hope one day people use example of Gimple and AMC in high school class teaching students not what to do when fliming a show

Why do some people want the shows to merge? It would only result in less time per character.
Let's say you love Alicia and you love Negan. Put them on the same show and then they'll have to share that screen time.
Until there's rumors that Fear is getting cancelled entirely, which isn't going to happen until live ratings dip below 1 million per episode, can we drop the discussions on merges?
A single character crossing back and forth is possible since Texas is so close to DC... \cough**... But a total merge is a bad idea until Fear is on its deathbed.

Is it just me or did the show feel a little more... realistic in the beginning? I don't really know if that is the right word but it just seems like after they got to Alexandria the show feels "cartoony" or "comicy" at times if those are the right words. What is a tv show that upon 1st glance, you thought you would hate it but after watching a couple episodes, you ended up loving it?
For me it was Glee
Seasons 4-6 were the hypermusical cringefest I was hoping to avoid.
Seasons 1-3 on the other hand, were actually pretty good.
-
The majority of the musical numbers were nothing short of fantastic due to the unbelievable levels of talent in the cast.
-
The cast/characters had this strange charisma that just hooked me into the show for some reason.
-
Several of the moments in the show had amazing and very believable acting.
I was literally obsessed with finishing the first 3 seasons to the point where it was all I looked forward too.
But seriously, if you want to, please tell me about your show in the comments.

Does Michael Mando ever appear in Breaking Bad?
The BB wiki claims that the character Nacho was only mentioned in BB, but I could’ve sworn that Michael Mando played an extra as Tuco’s entourage, or something, during the Breaking Bad series.
I argue that seeing Michael Mando’s character reveal on BCS wasn’t the first time I saw him in that universe.
So, was did Mando play a character in Break Bad? If so, which Season/Episode?

In BB (such a believable and well written show) what did you find the most stupid/hard to believe?
I remember in an interview Vince Gilligan said the number 1 mistake you can make as a writer is to have something happen just "because it would be cool" which i think is what makes it such a great show.
I remember watching the show in 2008 or whenever it aired and the season 1 finale pissed me off so much that it almost turned me off of the show. If you don't know what i'm talking about, it's when Walt storms into Tuco's office and throws that chemical stuff that looked like meth at the floor pretty much blowing up a building post 9/11 to such a degree that it sets off like 30 car alarms and grabs the attention of every passerby and then Tuco, a guy who killed someone just for making an off-hand comment, just decides to laugh and forgive walt because the batch sold so quickly.
First off, i don't believe there exists a solid chemical that can be thrown at your enemies like a poke-ball causing mass destruction... and even if it did exist how did walt not think it would be a suicide mission to throw it at the floor. The guys smart when it comes to chemistry but it's not like he's an ex-green beret who has experience using explosives. I also think tuco's men would have immediately gunned walter down after the explosion but walt holds it up as if he had someone hostage. I actually just rewatched the scene and you would think if you threw an explosive at the ground it would explode the ground but it basically just blows 2 windows out.
And then walt just walks to his car and leaves in front of like 15 witnesses. I don't care what anyone says the cops would be called and there would be an investigation which probably wouldn't be good for tuco to have the cops just poking in and searching his safe.
I don't mean to be a negative nancy and i absolutely love breaking bad and this is the only scene i really can't stand. From the science, the logistics all the way to tuco immediately being cool that this random guy just used explosives in his presence i just find it completely unbelievable. was wondering if anyone else had a scene they thought was a stretch?

I wish Netflix had something similar to ‘DVD extras’.
Just watching season 3 of Santa Clarita Diet and the script is so witty and the cast so funny that you know they were probably constantly breaking character. It made me think that it would be great if Netflix provided Blooper Reels or even just deleted scenes for their shows.
Even a director / star commentary would be something. I remember pouring through old behind the scenes stuff on DVD’s, like the documentary on the first Pirates of the Carribean or the endless amount of extras for The Lord of the Rings films.

If Madison somehow survived (by sliding under the dumpster), what do you think about her making the transition to the main show?
I feel like she’d be handled better there and there is a lot of storyline potential with her character. Of course there would be the issue of figuring out how she got to Alexandria / The Hilltop / The Kingdom in the 6 year time-jump, but I feel like it would be a welcome change

What happens to the rest of the fear group is unanswered because clearly this show is all about Morgan jones and nobody even knows who the other characters even are. All is good.

Another Werner Walt parallel (spoilers)
So both Werner and Walt make devastating phone calls to their significant others at night that is not necessarily wrapped in truth for ultimately their protection. However reflecting the contrasts to the their fates when trying to get for their lives from mike, Werner makes the call with Mike present with the idea coming from mike while Walt makes the call on his own after Mike had been deceased for months. Further demonstrating these contrasts, werner's call was his last ever interaction with his wife, while Walt due to careful planning gives himself another opportunity to talk to his wife in his own terms.

His perfect willingness to force Jesse to risk his life by seeing Walt in the plaza under threat of certain assassination in prison contrasts with Jesse's aversion to any death, even Lydia's. Any news on Season 5?
Last news I see here mentions they start shooting in April 2019, but that was reported back in December. Who knows?
Seasons 3 and 4 started shooting 7 months before the seasons premiered. So, we should expect the show to be back in late November-ish? And then it would air right during the Holiday season? Feels a bit out of place.
Maybe we only get a new season in February 2020, along with Jesse's movie?

S4 wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either
So, like many of you here, I didn't like how S4 was a reboot. And after Madison and Nick died, I practically gave up on the series. But recently, I noticed that S4 was on Hulu and decided to give 4B a shot, and I'm glad I did. Reading the criticisms on here kept me from continuing the show, but I bingewatched 4B through without listening to anyone else and I'm surprised how much I liked it.
Sure, it wasn't the show it used to be. Yes, Morgan is now the de facto main leader over the OG characters. I looked past that, though, and my enjoyment of the second half increased as a result. I like the new characters, I like how they handled the old ones, and I like how they integrated Morgan into the show. And yes, I like Martha/Filthy Woman.
I noticed how she was the season's biggest complaint, and I was worried I wouldn't like her as a result. But she's such a breath of fresh air to the Walking Dead universe. I like how she comes out of nowhere and fucks everything up just for the sake of fucking everything up. It's different from most WD villains who take a half a season to setup in the first half, and seeing how they payoff in the second. But Martha's just crazy, and I like that.
I realize that practically everyone here treats S4 like the worst thing that ever happened to the show, but I used to feel that way too. I like it now though. I think a lot of people went in the new season wanting to hate it. Coming back to it with an open mind might change your perception of the new season. That being said, though, I think I'm waiting to binge S5 because this is not a show to watch week-to-week.

Rewatching the series (thank you, Netflix) and just got to "Rebecca". Chuck and Rebecca had been married for some amount of time by the opening of the episode, but Jimmy and Rebecca hadn't met before he comes to dinner. Do we know why? Who's going to make a choice or decision in the season five finale?
From a few episode descriptions:
Jimmy is pressured to make a difficult choice
Alpine Shepherd Boy (not a season finale)
Jimmy is forced to make a hard choice
Klick
Hamlin pushes Chuck to make a decision
Lantern
Mike is forced to make a difficult decision
Winner
The most important character who hasn't had their turn yet is Kim. Her difficult choice would probably involve moving back to Kansas.
But really I just thought it was fun to see the writers recycle episode description phrases.

Question about s1e3
Is it common for cops to chase down a lawyer and throw him to the ground and handcuff him when they’re simply trying to find the lawyer that a suspect asked for? It seems like overkill couldn’t they just call him? Or did they just add that scene for dramatic effect because at first you think he’s being chased by nacho’s people not the cops so it’s an effective scene but I’m just curious if that’s really how cops deal with that situation

Walter never becomes Heisenberg
Walter names the dark side of himself Heisenberg in Season 1 when meeting with Tuco for the first time. In my opinion, Heisenberg was always a metaphor for Walts degrading morality, not somebody he was becoming. Walter always had a little Heisenberg in him, even in the pilot. In season 5 when Walter is at his most ruthless, he still has a little Walter White in him.
I would say the peak of "Heisenberg" was in s5e13 when he was plotting Jesse's death. Walter gets cuffed in this episode, but only for Hank to be surprised by Jack and his men. In the following episode Hank faces death by the hands of Jack and Walt offers all of his money to save Hank before revealing its location. To me, this is one of the most Walter White-esque gestures in the entirety of the series.
All I'm saying is Walter has never been totally good or totally bad, just like no human being can be totally good or totally bad. He may have been an evil piece of shit but he had good qualities and deep down he cared about his family, even Hank, who wanted him rotting in a jail cell.

Chem teacher is a fan of breaking bad
So today in chem class my professor gave us some insider tips on the validity of breaking bads science.
The biggest take away is that meth could never be blue. No matter how pure. He said it would be more like clear glass... makes sense. Maybe it was the chili p.....
He also said that putting a body in acid could never dissolve it fully..but it could do a pretty good job.
Last thing I remember is that thermite...what Walt and Jessie use to break through the door to steal the barrel of methylamine is legit
He also talked a little about gale and crystallography - basically involves lasers and is fucking cool.
Thought I’d share. Made for an interesting day in class!

[Mod Raven] Watch party/event shenanigans: We need your help!
Last year around this time we reached out to the community for help compiling an international list of watch parties and events celebrating the upcoming season. 'Tis that time again, and we are asking for your help!
Watch parties are social gatherings/events that will be showing the S8 premiere or even weekly showings. These events are typically hosted in bars, restaurants, or any public venue. Buttttt, if you're hosting your own watch party, maybe not post your home address on a social forum, for your own safety.
For the suggestion, this is the info we will need:
-
Venue Name
-
Country
-
City and State
-
Local Time: What time does the event start? If there are any GoT-related activities before the episode (i.e. trivia, cosplay contests, dead pools or recaps) please mention the time for those as well.
-
Facebook/Instagram/Website (Optional): This is not a requirement, but is still beneficial for redditors to know in the event that they want to know more about the venue itself or even contact the venue for whatever reason.
This information will be compiled into our community Wiki page and will be made accessible on the sidebar for your convenience very soon.
tl;dr: If that venue you love is hosting a GoT event, recommend it through Modmail or in the comment section of this post.
This is the best time to unite the community, so let's make it happen. We'll need as many shoulders to cry on as possible at this point. Cheers!

TSDF Spoilery Bits Episode 9.16 “The Storm”
Happy finale week, buttercups! This week we’re bringing you some spoilery bits instead of our usual Q & A. There’s a chance we may get more information tomorrow, but if not, chew slow and enjoy! Big thanks to our source!
Episode 9.16 “The Storm”
-
The episode focuses on Team Family dealing with a blizzard with some side cuts to Alexandria.
-
The Kingdom has fallen. Through Ezekiel’s narration during the cold open, we see that the Kingdom is no longer sustainable and the residents are suffering. Kingdomers decide to leave home and travel to Hilltop to survive.
-
There is a time jump of a few months that takes place in this episode. Rosita’s baby bump is visible.
-
Not much action occurs out on the road, but there are some deep, we’re walking for miles and might as-well-talk, conversations. They cross a frozen river and encounter some creepy, wintery walkers rising up from the snow. Walkercicles! Winter is here, bitches!
-
Even though they hesitate to cross into Alpha’s territory, they need to take a shortcut. They do not encounter the Whisperers on the road, even when crossing their border.
-
Lydia asks Carol to kill her, which she cannot do.
-
Back at Alexandria, families have to group up inside houses with a fireplace in order to survive the cold. This is the reason Negan is let out of his cell.
-When the Kingdom group makes it to Hilltop, Carol breaks up with Ezekiel. She tries to give her ring back, but Ezekiel won’t take it because he says will always love her. Carol says that she knows Ezekiel blames Daryl for Henry’s death, but she fears that the only reason Ezekiel blames Daryl is because he won’t blame her. Carol decides to join Daryl and Lydia at Alexandria.
- Judith runs off looking for Dog in the snowstorm. Negan goes searching after her. When he finds her, she is freezing and suffering from hypothermia. Negan wraps her up in his jacket and takes her back home. He-LLO Season 10 Redemption Arc!
Edit Dog is FINE! Judith found him and he follows Negan and Judith back to Alexandria.
-
There’s a scene with Alpha and Beta towards the end. The storm has passed and Alpha says she must become stronger. She gives Beta a branch switch to beat her, just like she’s done with Lydia. Whisperers live to sadistically murder our people another season!
-
Ezekiel has been using the radio to talk to people in the other communities. He’s talking to Judith at the end before he leaves the room. Then, we hear a voice coming over the radio. We aren’t sure who it is. It’s difficult to hear or identify because of the static cutting in and out. The voice says something along the lines of, “Hello? Is anyone there?” But nobody is in the room to hear it.

The common denominator
I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna state the obvious here, which is why I'm so baffled the thought seemingly never crossed the minds of AMC execs or however calls the shots:
-
FTWD S3 was simply amazing and then Gimple came and shit the hell out if it on S4.
-
TWD S6 through S8 were getting lamer and lamer as time went by and then Gimple left, now S9 is simply amazing (possibly even more so than FTWD S3.)
So... when are they gonna fucking fire Gimple?
I want the trilogy of movies to be actually good :(

I hope this doesn't come off as weird. I'm just rewatching Breaking Bad again and I just absolutely relish the opportunity to watch Jonathan Banks play Mike. He will always be my favorite character of both shows, and I know of a buddy who has sent pictures to actors before and has gotten them signed with a nice little message, and it would mean the world to me if I could get one from my favorite character

Cardboard boxes - bad idea
One silly aspect of Season 4 that isn’t often discussed is how impractical the ‘cardboard box’ helping method would actually be. Leaving a cardboard box with some rations in every few miles along the highway is a damn waste of time. A few minutes of rain or wind would destroy the box or blow it away. Wild animals - rats and birds and whatever else would take the contents in the first night. Wasting finite, precious gas to drive around wasting finite supplies which would be lost to scavengers within hours? It’s total idiocy if the writers thought that would be a sensible way of helping people in a zombie apocalypse. Maybe the budget is so low that’s all they could afford

What if BCS s05 is a mini-series/prequel for Jesse???
Suppose that mysterious filming/shooting (pun not intended) in ABQ for the last several months contains all Jesse's BCS s05 related direct scenes plus, of course, the BB-movie line, and the shooting to begin in the early April will contain all of the rest of the BCS s05 scenes?
The BCS ratings have dropped constantly. Only a massive Jesse's break could do the trick to raise them.
That's what I think.
What about you?

Rewatching the entire series for the first time since it aired... Something has me CRINGING in seasons 1&2!
I mean, I know it was a theme throughout the show and I'm not the first one to notice, but my God how relentlessly MEAN Walt is to Jesse the entire time is hard to watch!
Literally nothing he does is right, and he tries SO HARD. And the worst part is, I never caught originally how a lot of the fuck ups can actually be blamed on Walt himself; for example, he just HAD to reprimand Jesse about putting the keys on the "workspace" during the marathon cook in S02E09. That's the only reason they ended up in the ignition to begin with which ended up killing the battery.
A lot of the mistakes can be traced back in this way to Walt being a condescending asshole and Jesse trying to appease him.
I originally thought, as I recalled, that the show was about watching Walt slowly change from good guy to bad guy... Turns out he was already firmly on one end of the bell curve when the show started.

Emilio and Jesse ***spoilers***
Jesse knows Saul from the two times his meth cooking partner, Emilio, who is Crazy 8's cousin, used Saul to represent him on criminal charges. According to what Jesse tells Walt, the police had Emilio "dead to rights" both times and Saul got the charges dropped. (Emilio's body decomposition killed the bathtub in Jesse's house).
So would it not make sense that we need to see Saul represent Emilio, and scenes from those cooking partner days are what Aaron Paul was filming in ABQ in December? I think BCS needs to show how Jesse/Emilio find Saul.

To anyone not satisfied with season 4..
My advise is to not watch season 5 or watch it in a way that will not give them views.
If people watch it anyways they will continue to produce a garbage product. If people don't watch it then hopefully this garbage show can be canceled.
If this show had the quality of the orginal show it would be great but it's obvious the budget is a lot lower the acting is not as good and the writing is terrible.
They had no idea wtf they were gonna do once season 3 ended they had no plan for a structure.
I gave this show 4 seasons to be good but the best episode isn't anywhere near as good as the worst episode of the orginal show. The orginal show is my favorite show of all time but sadly it seems AMC doesn't give a f about this one.
Don't reward them for putting 0 effort into the show. The best thing to happen now is if the show was canceled. Its too far gone.

Just finished watching breaking bad
No doubt it's one of the best series I have ever watched. There were many characters whom I felt pitied with, but I just realized Brock should be no.1 on the list, he doesn't even understand most of the things that had just happened to him. I mean first of all he didn't have a father, his mom was a drug user, his uncle, Tómas got killed by Gus, he got poisoned by Walt and are at the brink of death, his only friend Jesse suddenly decided to stop seeing him, and worst of all, his mum got killed by Todd just in front of the porch. I mean I cant imagine his emotions going through him at the moment. Why did so many bad things happen to a sweet 8 year old boy. I felt sad for him...

Tina Parker as cast member for season 5?
I have to imagine Jimmy will contact Fransesca about rejoining as Jimmy's secretary, and I imagine it will occur early in season 5 within 2 episodes (maybe even the premiere). Fransesca appeared in a lot of episodes in season 3 and she appears to have her own arc to go through from a nice happy lady seen in season 3, to a grumpy lady who is willing to ask for money in exchange for doing certain things. It only makes sense that Tina Parker will be made a cast member for the next season

Did that old lady next to Gus/Hector's room die in the bomb explosion?
Her only "crime" was hitting on Walt. She didn't deserve death. :(

[SPOILERS] The finest moment in the show, imo. Art by Jorge Gonzalez.

I just finished entire series.
Definitely became my best series. I loved that each of them are all round characters. Bad guys cant be always bad as well as good guy. Have you guys watched Better call Saul? Thinking of watching it to continue vibe.
