Do you ever pretend that TWD actors other projects are prequels?

This is my favorite scene from a minor character from season 4&5 named Sam played by the penguin. I like to think of these scene 5 month before the dead started walking.

Theory: Lalo kills Walter Jr. in season 5

My guess is Walter Jr. is gonna cross him, maybe make a threat on Hector’s life, threaten to kill his whole family, and Lalo will get out the ouija board and Hector will tell him Walter Jr. is planning to wipe out the Salamancas and take over their territory, and Lalo will kill him. What do you guys think?

I know the show is long over but I just wanted to be considerate.

Do you think Walt should have let Jane die? What were you rooting for in that moment the very first time you watched it?

Personally I was internally screaming at him not to save her.

What shows out there have had spin-off series with their own unique narratives/tones/camera techniques etc., and then...

had characters cross over and successfully blend into the new style. I feel that season 4 and beyond Erickson would have made potential crossovers (if any) really interesting in the sense that we would have seen different/interesting/darker portrayals of characters from the main show, like Abe, as they interacted with Erickson's morally grey characters. However, now we literally just have a spin-off that's the same show as its counterpart but with a different coat of paint...But yeah, what other shows out there, if any, have pulled off what I mentioned? I hope this post makes sense lol. Thanks.

What's so great about Breaking Bad?

I watched BB when it first came out but stopped for whatever reason. Recently, I took it back up and I've just finished season 4 ep. 6. I think it's a decent show but not anything great. Honestly, it quite baffles me how highly it's rated ie. its IMDB score. I mean it has some tense moments but I think there are tons of better thrillers. And it isn't a great tragedy or human drama either. It doesn't have the emotional punch of say True Detective. In short, quite intentionally it's hard to root for any character and seems to be more of a situational morality play that's interesting enough but not to the extent of its huge popularity and high regard. So what am I missing? What's so great about BB?

Question about S2 E1

Walt and Jesse are trying to figure out how to kill Tuco and Walt pulls out a plastic baggy of Castor beans and tells Jesse they are going to make ricin out of it and poison Tuco. Is it ever explained how Walt got these beans or knew how to make this poison? I’d assume these beans aren’t very easy to get, are they?

Season 2 Episode 2

Anyone else realize how important and influential the events of the second episode of the second season were to the rest of the show? That entire episode acts as a catalyst for the conflicts that ensue from the rest of the show. Jesse losing his house, Walt initially losing a huge portion of Skyler's trust with the second cell phone, the wrath of the cousins who go after Walt then Hank, causing his paralysis. That then leads into Hank being put into a tough position with Walt's "confession" because Walt financed Hank's recovery. The fact that they didn't kill Tuco when they had the chance also resulted in Hank becoming the target of the cousins. Also, Hector doesn't do much, but his mental presence allows him to expose Walt and know about him, making it possible for the two to team up and kill Gus.

It's a very meaningful and efficient episode. Vince Gilligan regarded the second season as the consequential season, which, may seem a bit obvious and like it applies to the entire show, but seriously, take a look at most of the decisions made by the main characters and see how much of a chain reaction forms that leads into the next episode or season.

Hi, I'm on season 3 of BCS, and I noticed there are only 3 seasons to watch from Netflix. From what I know there is a season four that finished in October I believe, and AMC just renewed BCS for season 5. Is there like a date season 4 comes to Netflix or will I have to find an alternative way to watch seasons 4 and 5?

ABC is going to premier Whiskey Cavailer after the Oscars. I'm not sure if that's a good sign they expect the show to be a hit. Is that good news for L.C. to come back to TWD?

I know Lauren Cohen's return to TWD is still up in the air(?) I'm not 100% sure if/when she might come back. But ABC has never aired a new show premier after the Oscars broadcast. Not sure if they are trying to build up hype for the show or what. I would never want to see the show fail but if it tanks do you expect Lauren Cohen will be back on TWD? Or do you think she will stay gone till something else comes along.

Just finished the last episode of season 4.

I'm speechless. Season 2 and 3 were absolutely stellar and I was hooked, but this... Why did they think making Morgan out of all people to be the leader of the group was a good idea? The guy has the charisma of a wet sock.

All he did was bring everyone in danger with his indecisiveness and "let's help everyone" crap. And trying to help that batshit insane lady up to the very end even though she killed a lot of people and never stopped trying to kill them? Or how they got poisoned with anti-freeze and nobody noticed anything weird regarding taste and color? Not to mention stupid things like the vultures who were besieging the starving stadium people even though they knew they had nothing. Or the pointless fighting between Morgan's and Alicias group in the first half of the season. Or how everyone kept running away from the group because they thought surviving on their own was a good idea but then suddenly changed their minds. Nothing made sense.

I'm sorry, I know you have a lot of negative season 4 posts here. But I just needed to vent. And I'm actually glad that the actors of Madison and Nick left the show because not even they could have saved this trainwreck.

I bet this has been heavily discussed already and I’m late to the party. But I am SO DISAPPOINTED to find out that ‘the Herd’ is actually seemingly made of humans who were just wearing some sort of masks??? I actually liked the idea that they were evolving which made them scary again and was a good plot to renew the show’s long faded horror vibe. That ‘humans wearing walkers’ masks’ just feels a bit too much. How do you feel?

The Assassin Brothers

Alright so I'm rewatching the series for 4th time, and I still cant see why the assassin brothers work for Gus, even though they're deathly loyal to their tio Salamanca and tio despises Gus. Any insights? For instance, they're waiting for Walt to get out of the shower to kill him, on orders/request from their tio Salamanca, who'd instilled a deep sense of familial loyalty since their childhood. Yet when they get a text from Gus, saying Pollos, they abandon the kill and leave Walt alive.

[Mod Raven] We've updated house flairs – here's how to show your allegiance

TL;DR Everyone can now choose house flairs. If you have one already, we'd recommend updating it with the new system. Here's how to do it on redesign. Here's how to do it on mobile.

If you're on old Reddit, first click "edit" next to your username on the sidebar, under the number of subscribers to the sub. Here's a pic of where I mean. A list of flairs will pop up, but the text isn't displaying just now. You can use control+f to find the one you want, though, or just hover over them - here's an example.

With so many people using mobile apps and more people switching to redesign, we didn't want to keep house flairs as something only old.reddit.com users could see. So, we've done a revamp of our flair system. Here's what it means:

  • People who use the Reddit app/people on redesign will now be able to select a house flair
  • Those on old.reddit.com will still have the words of the flairs they've already chosen, and can choose new words the same way, but there will be no house sigil next to their name (i.e. it'll just say "House Stark", without the direwolf sigil).
  • The flairs chosen on redesign/the mobile app will be visible on new reddit, old reddit, and mobile apps

To pre-empt some questions people might have:

Which flairs can we choose from?

We looked at how many people use each house flair, and we've picked the top 95 (roughly...). For each of these, we've added character and house words options. We do plan on adding the rest of the sigils, but the ones we've included already are used by such a majority of people, we wanted to get them out there now. We can see if there are any issues, and people can make a start on updating their flairs.

How do we choose them?

On redesign, on the top panel of the sidebar, just under "Create Post", you'll see "Edit user flair". Click that. Here's a pic

On the mobile app, click the three dots at the top right, and then "Edit user flair". Here's a pic

You can either scroll down to find the one you want (they're ranked by a combination of popularity+similarity), or use the search function.

Can we request a flair?

Yes, for now. On-season it might depend on whether the mods have time. We'd just ask that it follows a few specifications.

You can request any sigil we've already added plus:

  • any character in that house from the ASOIAF universe (E.g. House Stark sigil + Brandon Stark)
  • any house words (E.g. Sansa Stark sigil + Winter Is Coming)
  • any character's nickname (E.g. Sand snakes sigil + Lady Nym)
  • any unofficial house words (E.g. Lannister sigil + "A Lannister Always Pays His Debts"

To request a flair, tell us in this post, or message the mods.

I hate redesign and I don't use the Reddit app, but I want to choose an updated flair. How can I do this?

There's a fairly substantial chance the flair you use exists on the new system, so message myself, the mods or reply here, and we'll update it for you.

But I really love this minor house...

You can still have their house name as your flair! Or their house words. You won't be able to have the sigil for now, but hopefully before the season that'll change.

Can we see how many people use each flair?

I'll use the stickied comment to show the top 10. Further than that, I'm very open to suggestions on how to present the list in an eye-pleasing way. It's 300+ flairs, so quite a lot to list.

Can we go back to the old system please?

Personally, I think the old flairs look nicer. It's just very hard to justify shutting so many people out of the fun of flairs for that fact, and I really like seeing them when I'm on mobile. But we're very open to feedback, and hearing how people would like these adjusted. One of the reasons for doing this now is to hear what people think well ahead of the season.

Seven blessings

The first episode of Family Guy premiered 20 years ago today.

I know Family Guy isn't really popular here and that the show is a shadow of its former self, but there is no denying its presence in the world of adult cartoons. The older seasons of Family Guy are always fun to rewatch when there is nothing else on and still make me laugh even if it is stupid a lot of times.

What is your favorite moment or gag from Family Guy?

[Spoilers] Mad King Theory

I know someone just posted about this but I wanted to go in a little more detail on why I feel like it’s true. I remember Jamie saying the Mad Kings last words were something along the line of “burn them all, just like he had by saying the past few hours”. I see a huge connection between the Hodor storyline and the Mad King. Bran probably went back to the Mad King in a vision and someone yelling burn them all, maybe dead bodies in winterfell during a white walker attack, got it into the Mad Kings head. I don’t really see the point of having Ned being able to somewhat hear Bran in his vision and Hodors whole storyline if it wasn’t leading up to this.

What i think Fear TWD season 4 should've been

1st off they never should've killed Madison but they couldn't do anything about Nick leaving so what they should've done is have Nick be killed in the season 4 mid season finale and the second half being Madison and Alicia dealing with his death. They could've handled the 2 timeline thing a bit better, they could've did it as the 1st timeline is the present day with Madison and co at Dell diamond and the 2nd timeline being before they got to the stadium and the events from the season 3 leading up to the season 4 premiere. And obviously not having Morgan become the main character, they should've done something with Madison going crazy and Morgan helping her not blame charlie for Nick's death and her go back to being ok. The second half could still be about the group coming back together and them taking over polar bear's denim factory and also dealing with the storm. If the writers did something like this the season probably wouldn't be so bad

Was Daryl ever meant to be a gay character?

Something that has been bugging me ever since I binge-watched the show. Daryl's never really had a romantic entanglement since the show began. He's had very strong bonds with people (Carol comes to mind) but these are always presented as platonic relationships. The closest I can think of would be Beth which could go either way I think??? But even that's not definitely romantic. Daryl does have a lot of damage and not everyone's response to the apocalypse is going to be to get physical, but I don't know whether Daryl's lack of romantic interest is meant to signify that he's asexual, or that he's gay. He's a main character so his lack of romantic prospects is weird when you see how other characters do and I don't think it can be shrugged off as the writers' just not caring about those particular storylines. When they introduced Jesus I wondered if this was going to be the big finish and we were going to watch this beautiful kung-fu man finally break through Daryl's repressed nature but that didn't happen. TWD has had a few gay characters but I get that making Mr Masculine Man gay might be a step too far for the company and they chickened out, but regardless of what happened, the lack of attention paid to Daryl's romantic interest is a bit strange? I'm new here but I just wondered if other people had any thoughts on how Daryl's been handled.

Last Tuesday, PBS Kids show 'Shining Time Station' turned 30. The U.S. adaptation of Britain's 'Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends' featured former Beatle Ringo Starr and later comedian George Carlin as Mr. Conductor. It ran for 6 years with 3 seasons, 75 episodes, and 4 specials produced.

Was anyone else severely affected by "Lantern"? Season 3 [Spoilers]

When I first started watching Better Call Saul around season 2 I was struggling with depression and stuff, but the show was something I became obsessed with and really looked forward to. Because it was on Mondays, it got me through the week. Toward the end of season 3 when Chuck seemed to be doing well with his mental health and was actually making plans for the future and working on therapy techniques I loved those moments. Then when he killed himself it was absolutely gutting and it made me feel hopeless about my own recovery. Even though it's such an artistically important moment in this show it almost felt cruel of the showmakers to take it that direction, because so much of their thought process is "what would this character do next". Seeing the guy who was struggling with his mental health but starting to break through just end it like that was devastating. I don't think I've told anyone because it seems weird, it's just TV, but immediately after that episode I started having suicidal thoughts again when I hadn't in months. I'm doing awesome overall now and have met people in the real world with anxiety disorders who are doing well and give me more hopeful examples to compare myself to, but at the time the characters felt so real to me and it was one of the only places in the media that I was seeing with a character that was dealing with mental illness.

Moral Orel

I just recently watched all of Moral Orel (I’d watched it when it initially aired, when I was 10-11 but it made me uncomfortable).

What a great show. I understand that the medium (stop-motion) isn’t very accepted by many, but I feel like this should be an exception. Next to Horace and Pete, I’ve never seen a show display melancholy and depression, realistically. Or as realistically as these two shows.

I know this show ended in ~2008 but I definitely plan on talking about this show with as many people who are unfamiliar with it as I can. Not because I want it to be revived or anything, but because it’s just a really good examination, and deconstruction, of religion in the Midwest US.., Where I grew up.

Anyway, thanks for reading.

[SPOILERS] Why does everyone hate bastards?

Throughout the series it is showcased multiple times that bastards are extremely disliked and treated as scum and I was wondering why? Why hate the child when it’s not even their fault? Shouldn’t all the blame fall on the cheating parent? And if so have there been any repercussions on these parents because so far I have not seen any punishments for those who participate in infidelity.

Finished Season 4....

The A-Team Version

After the apocalypse, a band of survivors found themselves in Texas due to poor writers for a crime they didn't commit. Today, still wanted by the zombies, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem... if no one else can help... and if you can find them... maybe you can hire... The Mo-Mo-Team.

Quantum Leap Version

Theorizing that one could travel across the country, MoMo stepped out of Virginia and vanished. He awoke to find himself trapped in Texas, facing zombies, and driven by an unknown force to change humanity for the better. His only guide on this journey is Al, an observer from his own time, who appears in the form of a news reporter that everyone hates. And so, MoMo finds himself travelling from town to town, striving to put right what once went wrong, and hoping each time that his next leap will be the leap to do something he was supposed to... and to not lose himself.

The Littlest Hobo Version

Woof.

Can anyone think of any more?

This show has turned to total shit. I'm watching Season 5 for the same reason I watch Ancient Aliens - to shout at the TV.

Comic or Show ?!

Due to the decline in quality in season 7 and 8, many people began to quit the show and decide to read the comics only. At that time 90% of TWD fans would have said the comics are better. But since season 9 started, the show is becoming awesome again and fans are renewing their interest in the show, with many people saying that the show has done the Whisperers arc far more better than the comics. Since the show is regaining its popularity thanks to season 9 and Angela Kang, where do you think the show stands in rivalry with the comics right now ? are they on par with each other or the comics are still better or the show is better at this point ?

Possibly unpopular opinion: I'm not sure I enjoyed season 4 that much?

:(

(Disclaimer at the bottom)

It was good and I enjoyed it every (ish) week, but never felt the same enjoyment I did during the previous seasons.
Absolutely a good season, but for some reason nothing really felt like it mattered in the present - only that it will in the future. Whole season kinda felt like a transition.

Tons of great scenes, but apart from Werner and that whole plot, I honestly didn't feel that excited to see where things were heading because I mostly knew. Guess I just didn't 'feel' this season as much because I've watched Breaking Bad, while I did with the other seasons.

The way they handled Jimmy's grief was interesting enough as well. Thing is, everything was well-made, but there was just some tension missing.

Oh, and unfortunately I really loved the new bad Mexican until he jumped through the roof. Shouldn't be a big deal, but somehow made me lose interest in the character.

This is not meant to be a whiny hater-thread, I'm simply wondering if anyone else feels the same way or if I'm missing something, or watching the show the wrong way. Did I miss something?

The butterfly effect Walter set in motion just by letting her die.. holy shiet

With him not intervening with Jane choking to death was just so crazy.

The butterfly effect that was set in motion just beacuse of that was brilliant.

Her death lead to the airplane crash with many more deaths + her father committing suicide was just mind boggling to me.

Brilliant mr Gilligan just brilliant.

Dear Amazon, please knock off the volume boost for the commercials on your original shows.

It’s already aggravating enough that you can’t even track where I am in my rewatch of an older HBO show. The fact that you have to insert a commercial for one of your new shows at TWICE THE VOLUME, in front of every episode, is infuriating.

End result? I mute your commercials.

Knock it off. I’m fully in your ecosystem and I’m watching with my Prime sub on a FireTV. I’ll watch Ms Maisel when I get around to it, not because you’ve fucking deafened me.

Werner and his team

I wish we had gotten to see more of the dynamic between Werner and each of the Germans because I felt he was kind of a fatherly figure to them. I actually thought we'd hear some backstory about how he and his wife had wanted kids but couldn't for whatever reason, so the guys on his team are almost like surrogate sons. He keeps saying they're good "boys" when they act out or screw up even though they must be well in their 30s- I could totally see Kai as the smart but troublesome one that just "needs to apply himself". He sees a person's children are part of their "legacy" which we know is very important to him, and he clearly looked up to his own father and probably bonded over their shared profession. He also only started to have fun on their night out when he was talking with those young guys and teaching them about engineering. And he risked his life to fix one of those explosives rather than let one of his men do it. Even gives Kai a reassuring pat before he goes. And he and his wife got a puppy. Makes it harder to believe he would risk all their lives with that stunt in the end but I thought that the extent of his naivety was supposed to indicate a deeper psychological issue that made him act unreasonably.

Why the hell are episodes 47-54 and 55-62 considered the same season?

They aired a year apart. They have clearly distinct events. What the hell makes them the same season? I know there's some ambiguity to this, and it's not completely unanimous, so for example, the DVDs say "Season 5" and "Season 6" respectively. But why describe them as one season? To me, it makes the series seem unfairly shorter than it is. I would say the same of The Sopranos season 6 parts 1 and 2 (although there's less ambiguity there); it should just be 6 and 7.

[NO SPOILERS] First time watcher, I FUCKING HATE SHAE

I'm on s4e2 for reference and need to rant.

Over all these years, I've heard so much about how Joffrey is the worst. But imo Shae is far worse. She is annoyance incarnate. Hands down the weakest part of this show.

Her story arc so far is a never ending cycle of trying to get Tyrion to fuck her, and then being a petulant, whiny, naggy childish bitch to him when he UNDERSTANDABLY doesn't want to because he's stressed/worried/MARRIED. She seems to live in some fantasy la la land where she's a housewife, not a literal hoe. Her character is so irrelevant and dumb that I dread every single scene where she shows up. I don't even understand what Tyrion sees in her at this point. She has a horrible personality and they haven't slept together in ages. She's nothing but a pain in the ass liability at this point. Tyrion's usual rational nature has been completely offset by her and it's so frustrating to watch him continue to bend to her tantrums instead of dealing with it practically like he's capable of.

I just watched the scene where he tries to send her off on the ship and she just cries, whines and has a temper tantrum while sad music plays in the background. Unfortunately it's hard to feel sad when you really rEALLY want that character to actually leave or die so the scene was ineffective as hell.

I can only pray she either dies quickly this season, or Tyrion finally gets sick of her shit and ships her off to Pentos for good.

Why did the Mexican doctor get wrong information on Jesse’s height?

The doctor says that Jesse is 180cm tall. When Walter is missing (the “amnesia”) she describes him as being 5'11'', which is basically equal to 180cm. Apparently that is about how tall Cranston is. Jesse however is clearly shorter than Walt. Furthermore, the difference is large enough that that doctor should have second-guessed his data when he sees Jesse in person.

Why would they make up a wrong measurement? It seems like it has to mean something. I don’t think the showrunners would make a mistake like this.

After these years have passed I'm finally watching the series again. What are some things I should look for that I may have missed the first time?

One thing that's struck me as I begin episode 4 is the color things. Walter is white. Skyler is blue. So is the meth. Pinkman is pink. I'm sure that I'm forgetting a few. Have any of you been able to find meaning in these color-character associations?

Any other observations and theories would be very welcome. The first time I watched this show it was simply enthralling. Now I'd like to watch it with a more studious eye. Whether you've discovered subtle themes or connections that may not be so obvious, lemme hear your thoughts!

Everyone is bald it seems. Walt, Jesse (during season 4 and 5), Hank, Tuco, Gus, Mike, Tuco’s cousins, victor, tyrus, Brock, Ted (after the accident), Huell, Hector (partially), Saul (starting to bald)

There’s so many bald people or people with shaved heads, it has to mean something right? Even something as simple as colors has a symbol in this show, so what’s the symbol of bald heads?

Edit: also Walt’s doctor, Dr. Delcavolli or however it’s spelled

There’s one moment in this episode, where after deciding not to continue renovating his house Walt goes and sees the alternate versions of himself and Jesse. “Stay out of my territory” With that one sentence, Walt’s whole character changes. He’s not doing it for his family. He’s doing it for him. And that’s devastating.

Which actors have you watched in various shows/roles without realising they were the same person?

I just googled Jon Huertas, who I enjoyed on Castle, and found out he was Brad the Witch Hunter in the original Sabrina, a show I loved as a kid!

Another big one the other day was finding out Sister Evangelina from Call the Midwife was Miss Trunchbull in Matilda, and Aunt Marge in Harry Potter.

Finally, I watched the whole of Humans, a British sci-fi drama without realising it was Colin Morgan from Merlin in one of the title roles.

Parallel between "Winner" and "Chicanery" plus the definition of "Winner"

Thinking about these two episodes, I noticed an interesting parallel among the two brothers.

In Chicanery, Chuck presents a façade in the episode that he loves Jimmy and is not trying to destroy his brother, but when he finds out Jimmy planted a battery on him, his façade crumbles and he has an emotional breakdown.

Likewise, in Winner, it is Jimmy who puts up a façade that he is mourning his brother and that his brother means a lot to him, he too has an emotional breakdown when his car doesn't start. However, Jimmy's breakdown occurs when no one is looking and when he is in court he pulls off his façade at his reinstatement hearing.

Additionally with those keys pulled together, it is Jimmy who is the winner because he was able to maintain his façade throughout the hearing and his reward is his law license. The battle was between Chuck and Jimmy for the continuation of Jimmy's law career, which Jimmy won because he maintained his composure in court and Chuck did not

Breaking Bad Videogame Idea

Ok so, the other day i was sleeping and i had a dream of a breaking bad videogame that was in a 16 bit style and stuff like that, and then when i woke up i searched up on google "Breaking bad videogame" and i couldn't find anything legit, so i guess i could share my ideas here.

Ok so you start the game with a cutscene of Walter White telling the definition of chemistry, then it goes to the title screen.

I thought it would be cool for it to be based around the key moments of the series shown on the official Breaking Bad youtube channel and i think it would be interesting if you could pick some choices that could change the story a bit, but i think it would be a bit risky.

And by the way, i made a little title screen like song for the game, here it is: https://soundcloud.com/shotalt/title-screen

If you would like to help make the game with me, you can contact me on discord at: ShotAlt#0547

[Spoilers] Potential Character Deaths Theory

So I'm on the Jon and the Night King die boat. I haven't seen much trying to predict their deaths but I think they are going to fight and ultimately kill each other. How? A repeat of history where Jon and the Night King are fighting on dragons, but at some point the two collide. Jon leaps off of Rhaegal onto Viserion, stabbing the Night King. After the collision Rhaegal and Jon fall to their deaths. Dany and Drogon are unable to help Jon and Rhaegal because (insert D&D reason here). This will mirror the events from the Battle Above the Gods Eye. Maybe this actually occurs over the Gods Eye since we see the ice and fire meet there in the first trailer we got this year (I think it's called Dragnstone).

I think this could be visually stunning and emotional for the audience. Imagine watching Jon leaping in air and as he kills the Night King and an ice explosion occurs. Grounded characters see wights and wight walkers collapse/die but then they look up and see Jon and Rhaegal falling out of the sky. Each character would have their own reaction to this as the camera sweeps across the survivors. Picture Arya and Davos sprinting towards Jon, while Sansa and Dany just cover their mouths in shock. The last image we have of Jon is him closing his eyes just before he hits the ground, accepting his death. Dany cannot save Jon, that would be too cheesy and would go against what GoT is supposed to be. Emotionally as the audience we will (most of us) be happy as the Night King dies, but then we realize that the hero is making the ultimate sacrifice. Thus a bitter-sweet ending to the war against death.

TLDR: Jon and Night King kill each other by events like the link above.

[Spoilers] - Meera Reed. Done with or is there a plan? I've got a guess.

When Meera left Bran it never sat right with me, not due to the rudeness of the three eyed ravBran but instead at how it didn't really make sense. Meera and Jojen went north on their fathers wishes and they went to find Bran. They knew that Bran was the key to winning the war as Jojen had stated. She out of every living person knows that Bran must survive for the Long Night to be won yet she decides to leave the crippled boy with family he hasn't seen in years and other dodgy characters around. He is the true born heir to Winterfell and if someone wanted him out of the picture, which they well could, he's an easy target. But Meera left and her excuse:

I don't want to leave you, but when-- when they come, I need to be with my family. And you're safe

I have been thinking about it recently and here are my thoughts. Go back to the first tower of Joy scene and we see Bloodraven introducing Bran to who is there. He clearly says out loud that Howland Reed is Meera's father, something that you'd think Bran would know already. But I am starting to think that Bloodraven wasn't speaking to Bran but to the audience. So the audience, well casual viewers are reminded about Meera's father and then they know that Meera is with her family. Meera is with Howland and if you are like me and think we haven't seen the end of her then it will be Meera bringing Howland into the mix

Why

That's the question. What part does Howland play. Well he was there when Jon was born so he is the last living person who knows but is that his role? Will an old Crannogman's opinion be enough to convince everyone that Jon is Targaryen. Maybe he will just reveal to Jon, but why? Sam and Bran can do that fine. Well realistically I think that could be his role in the show but I had another thought, I dawned the tin foil:

DAWN - He will bring Dawn to the North as Dawn is Lightbringer

Now IF Lightbringer is to appear, I don't even really think that it will to be honest but IF it is then it can't be a Valyrian steel sword. We know that Lightbringer was forged 8000 years ago in Westeros, long before the Valyrians had any influence in Westeros, maybe Lightbringer was crafted into Valyrian Steel eventually or maybe Dawn, the sword that is different than all others and just as sharp as Valyrian Steel.

The book says a member of House Dayne followed a falling Star and Dawn came from it and then Ned left it to Ashara Dayne. There is no mention of that in the show so there is some license here to work with. Howland killing Arthur Dayne was strange and didn't make any real difference to the story, unless of course Ned gives the sword to Howland because it was Howland who killed Dayne and not Ned and since then Howland has had the sword and will be shown the importance of it.

Disclaimer

I am not even a big follower of Lightbringer being in the show, I know this theory isn't flawless and it's more brainstorming from me than anything else but I am convinced that Meera will return, I think the mention of her family and Howland will mean that he will be in the next series for sure and I know that there is a good chance it's just to reveal to Jon in the books at least I think he will be the one to reveal. But with the reveal already covered by Sam and Bran there must be more to Howland Reed's potential appearance than that.

A point was made of showing Dawn on the screen and it hasn't been revisited yet, I think that Howland Reed could have the sword or even more than that knows where it is cough cough Crypts of Winterfell cough cough sorry I had something in my throat there.

I am not even sure I am correct but I do think my line of thinking has narrative sense to back it up and you just never know. Guess we will find out in June. I hope anyone takes time to read this and hope you like it as much as I liked writing it

Jeor- Do you think your brothers warnis more important than ours?

Jon- No

Jeor- When dead men and worse come hunting for us in the night, you think it matters who sits on the iron throne?

Jon- No

Jeor- Good, because I want you and your wolf with us when we ride out beyond the wall tomorrow.

Jon- beyond the wall?

Jeor- Ill not sit meekly by and wait for the snows. I mean to find out whats happening. The nights watch will ride in force against the wildlings, the white walkers, and whatever else is out there. And we will find Benjen Stark, alive or dead. I will command them myself, so Ill only ask you once, Lord Snow: are you a brother of the nights watch or a bastard boy who wants to play at war?

  • I am the sword in the darkness

Lyanna Mormont

Lord Glover- you expect me to put a spear in my granddaughters hand?

Lyanna- I dont plan on knitting by the fire while men fight for me. I might be small, Lord Glover and I might be a girl but Im every bit as much a northerner as you.

Lord Glover- “Stammering”

Lyanna- and I dont need your permission to defend the north. We will begin training every man, woman, boy and girl on bear island.

Dont even get me started on Jorah “I need you by my side when I take the 7 kingdoms” sets every bad thing hes done on fire.

Just finished watching BB yesterday, a few thoughts...

Walt is a great guy until he becomes a psychopath. But he doesn't go full psycho, still doesn't want to kill Hank even tho he is a POS

Jesse Pinkman should have taken a bullet to the head running away from Tuco, he dresses worse than any other TV/Film character I've ever seen and he is pretty annoying and unstable mentally

I hated Saul when he almost gets killed by the duo but I got into him over time. Can't wait to watch Better Call Saul

Walter JR is annoying and pretty dumbass for his age.

Hank goes from pro gun "I am always right" american guy to Sherlock Holmes

Marie is even crazier than Skyler, I don't even remember if the shoplifting filler content on the series led somewhere or not

I can understand Todd since he was raised by a nazi gang and he doesn't know better. Compared to Walt he might be on the same level, even though he probably doesn't even think what he does is wrong. Kind of a dummy mental killer used by his uncle.

Gotta love Huell, probably the best character in the series.

PD: I still wanted to see the guy that laughed at Walt in S01EP01 (the student with the Corvette) ran over or shot by Walt since he always have rancor against people who cross him, just like the guy at the gas station.

Overall I liked the series, just wanted to talk about some of the characters. The 4th season was so slow and full with fillers I almost stopped watching, but I don't regret it!

[SPOILERS] The Proof is in the pudding.... Somewhere

So we were told the answers to the ending of GOT can be found in the first book. Tonight I was listening to Tyrions chapter when he is involved in the battle against the Stark force's at the Trident. I found the description interesting. Most of the descriptive words used were reminding me of other characters in the book. It's almost as thought you could picture another battle happening.

Then I started thinking about the other battle he was involved in at Kings Landing. I haven't had an opportunity to review this chapter yet but it did get me thinking. Most people agree that there will be 2 battles in the final season. What if Tyrions previous battles are the key?

Apologies if this is a tired subject and/or a previously suggested idea. I will delete this post if so.

"Crashing" is a delightful, feel-good show and I love it.

I've loved Pete Holmes' optimistic style of comedy for years, but Crashing takes it to a whole new level. It's so refreshing to watch a show about someone working toward success where they're not constantly struggling against some annoyingly nefarious opponent. Instead, while the cast or working comedians may get jealous of each other's success from time to time, they're overly supportive and enthused for each other. The amazing occasional stand-up material is just the cherry on top.

Finished watching the show for the first time last night. A few thoughts.

I could barely sleep last night because of the final episode. I kept repeating it over and over in my head.

I felt so incredibly sad for Jesse. In the end, he's a good kid. He's made bad choices, but he ended up tortured, his second girlfriend shot in front of him, and forced to cook meth for about a year (not entirely sure of the time lime but it seems like about a year). In the end he gets out, but what is he going to do? He's got no money left, God only knows what happened to his house. Jesse is the one character I genuinely feel bad for and I think suffered the most because of the decisions Walter made. His first girlfriend died because of Walter, Brock was poisoned because of him. I found it particularly hartbreaking when Walt calmly informs Jesse he saw Jane die and didn't do anything about it. Flipping eck.

Having said that, I find it really interesting how in he first few season, I found Hank and Marie the "bad" characters (Hank with his behavior and Marie with her shop lifting) but they actually turn out to be decent people, especially in the last season. I saw Hank dying coming as soon as he made that phone call to Marie and he said he loved her and he'd be home as soon as he can. But damn, that was hard.

And Walt... What a brilliant actor but I hated Walter at the end of the show. He's despicable. You so desperately want to see him as a decent guy looking after his family, but the further you get into it, the further you realise Walt really is a criminal, and one of the worst ones as well. The way he shouts at Flynn when Skylar pulls the knife on Walt made my blood boil. "What are you doing, we're supposed to be a family?!". Excuse me Walt, you just killed your brother in law. You threatened your wife and son. You need to fuck off. The moment Walter broke bad for me was when he let Jane die. And it just went downhill from there. When he killed Mike, I just wanted to strangle him. The way he tried to justify to Mike why he killed him makes it even worse. "Just let me die in peace". Oh Mike.

That's one thing that intrigued me as well. Mike and Walt are very similar, yet I loved Mike and hated Walt. Mike still has a moral compass. He's still a human. Walt doesn't care who he hurts or kills, as long as he gets what he wants. Mike tries to do the best he can in a difficult life.

I'm undecided about Skylar. I don't understand why she didn't just leave Walter as soon as she found out, but I also think she knew Walter was very dangerous and thought he'd hurt her if she did. I don't understand the hate towards Skylar on this sub. Her giving the money to Ted was incredibly stupid, and she made stupid mistakes. But she never did anything as bad as Walter did. She tried to ignore how bad her husband had become, but in the end she realised and she was the one that paid for it.

What a show. I'm so glad my boyfriend just turned the first episode on and I was hooked in the first 15 minutes. Can't believe I never watched it.

Onto Better Call Saul next!

Better Call Saul scene before transitioning fully into Breaking Bad [Spoilers]

Final scene of the season/episode (would prefer season, but it happens when it happens) is Saul taking a breather after he is done a HUGE case, getting back to work with a sigh of relief as he knows that difficult case is officially over. Finally, he says to himself, 'I'll be damned if another lawyer in the world can win a case like that. Nothing... is going to top how difficult that was.'

As he is completing some more paperwork as he is officially finishing up the last case, he looks at his schedule, then tells Francesca to call in the next client.

The door opens, and the moment the door finally shuts, Saul looks up at the man known as Mr. Mayhew. The cameras go in slow motion for 15-30 seconds, as Saul doesn't know what's ahead of him, and then Saul says, 'Mr. Mayhew. Nice of you to come down.'

[Spoilers] My theory about the prince that was promised

I don't know if this is one of the existing theories, but it came to my mind so I wanted to share it with you.

The Night King wants his Night Prince/Princess that was promised to take him/her up to the lands of always winter. The men will first lose the battle of Winterfell and then Cersei/Daenerys conflict will happen and Night King will rise all the dead they leave behind... Daenerys will be killed in that major fight at the Isle of Faces/King's landing. Jon will use the same technique as Children used on Benjen and will stab her through her heart with a piece of dragonglass. This will revive her and she will leave far north with NK to become the Night Queen and give birth to her and Jon's baby (prince/princess) which will one day become the next Night King. Jon will become the ruler of 7 kingdoms, with his dragon Rhaegal. Daenery's fire will become ice, the icy Snow will become the fiery Targaryen. They will again bring balance to the world of ice and fire.

Breaking Bad scripts

Recently been very interested in reading the scripts for BB as they’re wonderfully colorful and very fun to read as a longtime fan of the show. Especially if you watch an episode alongside reading the script. However there are not a lot of them available when searching for them (atleast not through my efforts).

Currently the most i’ve gotten are from this thread. Sadly a lot of the links are currently broken and the only available ones are from season 3. They are the following:

Gus Frings background

In s4 e7 or 8 I think, Mike tells Gus that if he can’t find anything on his history in Chile he doubts Hank will, and then in the flashback to Gus and his partner talking to Don Eladio after Hector shoots Gus’ partner Eladio says the only reason Gus is still alive is because he knows who he is. So who is Gustavo Fring, what is his history in Chile. I’d be very interested in a spin-off show about Gus like they did with Saul.

How I met your walking dead mother [spoilers]

I noticed something about these 2 shows.

HIMYM has an episode where they put Doug into flashbacks and claim the character was always there.

TWD had a character Scott that is actually always there. Scott has an underground following in TWD as a bad ass character with no screetime. Carl shoots first at the Savior last at ASZ Scott is by his side and shoots. Rick raids an out post and later saves hilltop Scott was by his side shooting both times. No one ever remembers Scott was and is always there.

If anyone gives Scott love people think it is fake and that Scott is just fan fiction.

I just see a unique juxtaposition of these side characters. In decade long running shows.

Merkert has the potential to be a bad cop and in with Gustavo's racket

On its face, we know that Merkert was probably who he says he is and not involved nerfariously with the drugs in any way, but if you observe all of his character's parts and relationship with Gustavo, you see that he could have been a mole/plant in the DEA who was covering up the ground level business.

Even in season 3, how he keeps trying to send Hank to El Paso can be viewed as him seeing Hank getting "too close" to the bigger level of the business and about to make a break in the case so he wants him to move onto another case there in Texas.

And of course, his story about the sea bass in his back yard. Often times, it seems, corrupted officials don't resign until they can no longer hide their involvement or the smoke gets too thick to no longer deny the fire. When Gus went down, Merkert had to step down and take the fall.

Also, Merkert introduces Gus to Hank and it's assumed Gus had to be close with Merkert to get in close with the DEA since Merkert was the one in charge.

Merkert would be an excellent mole for Gus' operation. He could thwart any DEA leads and investigations that get too close or he could misdirect his investigators if need be while allowing Gus and the cartel to operate.

[No Spoilers] would a March Madness-type "character duo" fave battle be a fun thing to do in the run up to s8?

I had this idea pop into my head a couple weeks ago. Now I see here there are some "favorite character" polls, but this is different. This is looking at your favorite character pairings over the course of the series, and not even just making a list but having those duos compete against each other til one eventual winner, ala a March Madness tournament. Now when I first thought of it, I say well there's no way there can be 64 different real options, so it would have to be just 32 (going as low as 16 would seem like what's the point). However as I started to brainstorm and write down options, granted I was thinking alright I'll go kinda really broad here for the hell of it, I can always just immediately pair down the initial "draft" of options. I wound up doing like 85 of them. True, some of the ones I wound up including, I don't honestly see having much of a shot doing even one round (like Theon & Yara is a pairing, for ex), but it was enough that I did start to wonder if it COULD indeed be done with 62 pairings out to start with. After all even the real MM has at least a few teams that pretty much nobody in the house has faith will last past one game.

I am admittedly not a super Reddit-savvy person (probably even more so reddit/Thrones-savvy) and figured if this WAS given a proper go that I may very well need a good amount of input from others if not even direct involvement with one or more of the official higher ups on here, so it'd be best to just for now make a regular discussion post for this, not bother to try and do it all already. It would be even more work than I've already done if it seems like barely anybody would be into doing it (although it was kinda fun coming up with that original master list). Thanks for reading!

[Spoilers] Who is your favorite character(s) and why?

Such a fun topic because there are so many options with such unique backgrounds. Whoever you choose explain why, was it a specific scene, action, or just personality in general!

Personally my favorite is Jamie Lannister. I think his development from the man he was early on and who he is now is great. Now he is a fan favorite arguably after being more hated than Cersei was at the beginning

Can't go wrong with Jon Snow and Tyrion as well

My version of season 4

As some of you have seen, I have been posting bullet points from my version of season 4. Instead of continuing to do that, I am going to write the episodes out in their entirety and post them on a fan fiction site. I will then link them here so that you all can enjoy them. It will be easier for me that way, because writing just the main points is too difficult because I can't give as much context. It will take me a while to complete the writing because I do have other things going on in my life, but they will be here eventually. I hope you all have a good rest of the week!

What I felt ruined Season 4 (Spoilers)

You know as I watched the series I read through this sub also but tried to (and successfully) avoided spoilers and enjoyed all of the show's shocking moments as they were intended to, which I loved,

but as much spoilers as I avoided I always found posts complaining about season 4 and how it was the worst thing they had ever seen, I felt scared and felt this weird bad anticipation of the fourth season, I loved the show SO MUCH S1-S3 so the thought of the last one being bad was killing me

Then I watched it, and well I'll be realistic, it wasn't as bad as everyone said,

I loved John Dorie, Naomi was annoying at first but redeemed herself, and that Alicia-Charlie storyline was cool, also that scene with them both in the flooding basement, omg I bawled my eyes out, I cried like crazy and liked that episode Nick's death was tragic and beautiful, they did the best of a bad situation (Frank Dillane leaving the show) and the death felt sudden, sad, and I loved the parallel between the moment of full peace he experienced with his mom at the garden and his final moments The scavengers (don't remember their actual name) storyline during 4A was decent, not like super cool, but interesting, generally I had no huge problem with the season, hell I even forgive the Jimbo's holy water beer that saved everyone at last moment, as stupid as it was, okay, I still give it a pass whatever

I didnt love how they handled Madison's fate, felt cheap, but at the very least she may still be out there, maaaaybe, idk, but even with this I didn't hate the season Also I didn't really like how they handled the time jump from S3 finale to S4, it was kinda cheap and not exactly great

BUT, my one problem with the whole season Oh boy and it was a big one

Morgan, holy fucking shit, that guy was just beyond sanity, I actually wanted him dead more times than the villains, seriously, he was SO INFURIATING TO WATCH!!!

"We have to get back to her" "Leave her" "I'll go back to her" "I'm going west, gotta get away from Virginia and you guys" "Lets go back to Virginia guys" "Let's not go to Virginia guys, it's better here"

For fucks sake

As if he wasn't annoying enough in TWD, for fucks sake, I maybe wouldn't mind his mentality as other (far more likeable) characters think somewhat like him

John Dorie is also kind of a pacifist, but he's a badass dude and knows when to grow a pair and kill people

Jesus in TWD is also kiiind of pacifist but kills when necessary,

It's all cool, try to kill as little as possible, every life counts and that shit, but fuck Morgan

He kept delaying the group, kept separating himself from the group to save the fucking filthy woman, when she made it clear from the get go that she was nuts

Morgan risked the whole group's lives for his pacifist bullshit, he almost seemed to try to indirectly kill his group as much as possible Which made him stupid, unrelatable and annoying as shit,

Idk what Gimple or whoever the fuck wrote Morgan for this season was thinking, none of Morgan's actions made him cool, heroic, cool or someone to root for, all he did made me want him dead from a story point of view, he kept fucking the group over and over and it was infuriating to watch for a whole fucking season

And the ending oh fuuuuuck

"We're staying here, gonna help folks in need and do good actions" And the whole group is just like "ok yeah cool"

And they roll out Transformers Style

What the even fuck?

I don't wanna watch "Morgan & company: against the dead and to help people in need"

FTWD used to be a much better alternative to TWD, a much realistic and varied one, but Morgan kinda fucked over an entire show, And I hope to God Season 5 corrects this, I really do

TLDR: S4 was decent, fuck Morgan

What's the longest you've watched a show without being able to decide if you actually like it or not?

I just finished season 2 of Friends from College and while there are a lot of really funny bits in the show, I honestly can't stand a single one of the lead characters. And it's not just the second season, I had the same feeling after watching the first season as well. But it's an easy watch and provides plenty of humor and if there's a third season down the road, I'd probably watch that as well.

I had similar feelings with Weeds but eventually stopped watching that one altogether around season 4, just curious if you've run into any other series that were good enough to keep you hanging around - despite being particularly good

[No Spoilers] Game of Thrones Edgic (No spoilers, but speculation on how the show ends based on content from S1-7)

Fans of reality shows like survivor will have seen this chart (called an Edgic), which is used to predict the winners of reality elimination-game type shows. Here, I applied the Edgic technique (a portmanteau of Editing and Logic) to GoT to see who has the best chance of "winning" the Game of Thrones and sitting on the Iron Throne.

For those of you unfamiliar with how Edgic works, here is a link to an explanation (spoilers for Survivor Season 31):

http://insidesurvivor.com/survivor-edgic-an-introduction-3094

NOTE: I only included contenders who 'played the game', have some sort of title/claim (Shireen, Mance, Gendry), or were major antagonists towards the end (Ramsay, High Sparrow, Night King)

https://i.redd.it/kldg5cwfxdd21.png

-Ned: Ned is the Classic CP second boot. I mean we all thought he was the protagonist and was going to "win", but his death set the stage for the "anyone can die" mentality.

-Robb and Catelyn: Both were huge contenders, and with Ned dying you feel like they are destined to rule and avenge his death, so their deaths both come as a huge shock. CP premerge boots.

-Joffrey: If he isn't OTTN, then I don't know who is.

-Stannis: Semi-obvious he wasn't the winner due to his INV 'premiere' (season one), but towards S3/4 you feel as though he has the potential to be a huge endgame player. All of that is discarded after he burns his daughter alive.

-Margaery: A great player, whose game is often hidden from the audience. I didn't want to call her MOR because she was getting content, but her game was quite subtle. A lack of insight into the Tyrell house's POV, as well as an INV Season 1 made her downfall eminent.

-Littlefinger: A great "player", but I only truly felt Littlefinger could 'win' during S4, when it was revealed that he set the War in motion, and when he took control of the Vale. However, a lack of insight into his 'master plan', as well as his failures with Sansa meant that I couldn't rank him as a contender.

-Varys: Similar to Littlefinger, but apart from siding with Daenerys, we don't have that much on Varys as a player, leaving him teetering between CP and MOR.

-Gendry: His bloodline gives him potential to win, however his three consecutive INV seasons basically mean that he has no chance of sitting on the Iron Throne.

-Night King: Undoubtedly a HUGE player in the game, however his Negative edit makes it apparent that he won't sit on the Iron Throne at the end (especially bc he isn't human).

-Theon Greyjoy: Unfortunately, his content was a little lacking in every season except 2, therefore he stands no chance of sitting on the Iron Throne, despite being present from the start.

-Tyrion: Excellent first few seasons, however, his recent status as a mere player in Daenery's story arc makes me question whether or not he would end up on the throne.

-Jaime: Started off with no chance, however S3 was the closest we had to Jaime having potential to sit on the Iron Throne, with his loss of his hand leading to growth, however his actions in S5-6 slices his chances. Although his desertion of Cersei at the end of S7 makes his role in the endgame apparent, I don't think he will sit on the Iron Throne himself.

-Cersei: Started the game with no chance at all as the power-hungry, Machiavellian tyrant. However, the actions of the Faith Militant in S5-6 made us root for Cersei, and her actions in the S6 Finale, certainly give her kudos as a winner pick. However, her portrayal as the ultimate villain in S7 effectively rules her out of winning, especially as she is the woman who holds onto the Iron Throne currently.

-Bran: Started off with a chance of winning, however his INV S5, and lack of a tone/emotions after becoming the Three Eyed Raven indicate that whilst Bran will have a major role in the endgame, he won't sit upon the Iron Throne.

-Arya: Like her brother, started the show off with a HUGE chance of sitting on the Iron Throne. Her struggles throughout S2-4 made her a fan favourite, and a character people wanted to succeed. However, her Faceless Man training, and weirdness in S7, indicate that her story is going in a different direction, and that she probably won't sit atop the Iron Throne.

-Sansa: I know people are going to protest me putting her as a contender. Yes her S1-2 made her come off as bratty, her emotional and political growth during S3-6 makes me think of her as a serious contender for the throne, especially with all of Ned's other children being less likely (in my opinion). After her actions in the S7 Finale, I feel that she is the Dark Horse to sit on the Iron Throne.

The Final Two Contenders:

-Daenerys: There was no reason to give her content until S5 unless Daenerys was the winner for the Iron Throne. She has received an immense growth edit, and her sitting atop the Iron Throne would be a "fairytale ending."

-Jon: However, I feel as though Jon has a much higher chance of sitting on the Iron Throne, as he has the better claim to the throne (by blood), and his edit was more deceptive in a series filled with twists. Whilst both Jon and Daenerys began the show physically removed from the rest of the cast, Daenerys was still playing the political game (albeit in Essos), whilst Jon was being the hero. Moreover, Jon was killed and came back to life. Why would he have been brought back unless he was going to end up ruling Westeros? Additionally, being the son of Rhaegar and Lyanna, Jon is LITERALLY the 'Song of Ice and Fire' (the name of the book series), and ties the White Walker and Political plot lines together. Ultimately, Jon winning the "Game of Thrones" both subverts the classic fairytale ending that Daenerys's win would entail, whilst fulfilling the fantasy trope of the "Hidden Prince."

What do you guys think?

[Spoilers] Question regarding Cersei and Tyrion.

In S7:E7, “The Dragon and the Wolf” Jon had pissed Cersei off and Tyrion decided to go and speak with his sister. Tyrion believed there was a high chance Cersei would just kill him but he went anyways. We see the conversation between the too, Tyrion figures out she’s pregnant and then we cut back to the Dragonpit where the two walk back in for Cersei to announce that she has made a complete 180 on her decision.

I was left with the assumption Tyrion struck a deal with Cersei but we don’t get to see the terms. My question is could/would Tyrion have sold Jon’s life to Cersei? Could there be another explanation (besides Tyrion may love Danny or he doesn’t think business and pleasure go together) for the boat scene with Tyrion creeping under the stairs? Why else did Cersei make that 180 decision?

[SPOILERS] Night king origin

I know that there are already a lot of theories surrounding the night king but was it ever explained why the "experiment" on one of the first men by the children of the Forrest that resulted in the night king/white walkers failed?

Seems like a big mcguffin to me to just have it as "it just failed and turned against them".

Could it have been that that the man they turned was a direct ancestor of the starks? And that their "warg" ability was something the children weren't aware of and that made the night king uncontrollable/turn against the children.

His ability to control the undead could also be a form of warging.

This might also explain why presumably cold hands/ benjen stark is still a wight with self control...

Excuses me if this had already been discussed to death.

Is it possible that Season 5 takes place after Breaking Bad?

There are a few hints throught Season 4 that gave me this idea:

1 - Saul Goodman's arc it's finished already, we can see that in the last scene where he decides to change his name. We can see several clues that he actually wanted to be a nice guy but that the long period without doing what he likes broke him. He turns into the Saul from Breaking Bad, and we already know that arc, there's no point in showing to us again.

2 - Saul calls a lawyer to defend Francesca in case she gets caught. IF Season 5 takes place after BB, the possible characters would be Kim, Howard (and if I'm wrong) OR a character that is going to be introduced in season 5. There's no point making it a secret otherwise.

3 - Mike one of the most diplomatic characters in the series kills for money. And we know what happens after that. I just can't see what Mike has to offer between visiting the future lab in the end of S4 and the "knows a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy" sentence from Saul in Breaking Bad.

There are downsides because there are anything about Nacho, so my guess would be Mike and Nacho in a arc together somehow. BCS in this case could be two timelines ocurring in the same season?

Sorry if someone already asked this and if I'm missing something. English is not my first language but I think I can be understood in this case :)

Most emotional scene in Better Call Saul?

I don't know but every time I see Jimmy break down in his car in "Winner", I tear up every time. I think for me it's because he is showing genuine emotions unlike how we see him at Chucks gravestone and when he. Kudos to Bob for his fantastic acting. The other one is Werner's death, specifically when he says "Is there no other way, truly?" You can just see his desperation and pain in his voice. Heartbreaking

What are some of yours?
