Prediction: Saul gets a malpractice law suit in season 4

Whenever a character on a show gets explained something, its always for the audience benefit, and when saul complained about having to pay his malpractice insurance, he got an ELI5 that he's covered for past clients. End of season 3, he does sketchy af things to the old people, so my prediction is saul is about to get sued

Ok so I just watched the very first episode last night. I'm not sure how I feel about it, like I think it has the potential to be very interesting but it seems like there is soooo much to comprehend like who people are, where places are, stuff like that. Few questions I have:

-Does it get easier to watch/comprehend?

-Is there anything I should know that wouldn't necessarily spoil it but would help me understand what the hell is going on?

-What is the best recommendation me as far as understanding what's going on if along the way I watch an entire episode and have no idea what's happening?

-Finally, is it normal to be like me and not have any idea what's going on?

....So basically a beginner's guide would be nice lol. I really wanna get into GOT to see wtf the hype is all about, and I hope its worth it. Thanks!

Is a Clean Bill of Health reasonable to ask for?

Regarding Chuck's threat of a lawsuit and/or the repercussions by the insurance company, if Chuck insists that he's 'fine', could Howard have asked for a clean 'bill of health' so to say, or is it not possible since the condition was psychological and not physical? I feel that Howard could have asked for one and somewhat mitigate Chuck's threat. Likewise, it seems like the insurance company could ask for one from Chuck in order to allow things to run as they were before.

[EVERYTHING] Crackpot predictions for next season

What are some crackpot predictions that you have for next season. I decided to ask this because while the series is coming to an end (the show atleast) we can still my crackpot predictions. So let's let's get cracking also happy Halloween I will apologize in advance for my post not being very festive but I did not really feel like typing in anything Festive today so yeah. Okay so here are some of my crackpot predictions/theories,

On more stark dies. In my opinion either Sansa or Arya.
Jon ends the relationship with Dany after he finds out the truth
Syrio = Jaqen is confirmed somehow
Daario returns but is NOT the leader of the Golden Company
Gendry and Arya hook up.
Jon becomes the new Night King
Tyrion rides Rhaegal
Jon and/or Dany are NOT Azor Ahai (instead either Jaime, Jorah, or Rhaegar are Azor Ahai (if Rhaegar is a Azor Ahai that makes Jon Lightbringer instead)
The final conflict is a human one (also both Ice and Fire are the threat. Ice= White Walkers and Fire= Dragons and the Red God)
Daenerys is the bastard of Ser Arthur Dayne and Rhaella Targaryen.

Any idea how the Bug Walt put on Hank's computer worked?

Hey there, i was just rewatching an episode of Breaking Bad, and it happened to be the episode where they find the barrel of methylamine with the tracker on it. Upon finding the tracker on the bottom of the barrel, Mike leads the group to believe that Lydia planted it to get them to stop using her as a source. When Mike makes it clear that he's certain that it wasn't the DEA who placed it there, they have Walt bug Hanks computer with that little black stick (with the red light on it) and the thing he placed behind the photograph of him and Marie. Back to my question, what kind of spying device/bug is this? How would you imagine it would work? And where would i be able to find one like it? I dont really have any plans to bug someone, i just think it would be a neat thing to have. Does anyone have any idea where to purchase something like it? Or have any idea what something like this would technically even be called. I've looked, and had no luck finding anything even remotely similar. Anyways, any answer will help. Would very much appreciate it. And no, i do not intend on using this to commit crimes. Thanks WF

Fear has ruined the main series for me

After seeing season 3 of fear the walking dead, I have no tolerance for the main series anymore. I already was not a fan of season 7, and season 8 is just more of the same if not worse. I would normally be able to easily roll my eyes and just go with it, but after seeing how good fear was, I just cannot stand it. It really shows how much of a cartoon the main show has become in the last couple seasons, and how awful the writing and some directing is.

And if season 4 of fear comes back and is awful that means season 3 has ruined me for both shows

[EVERYTHING] _ and ___ greatly damaged a beautiful piece of history

Qyburn and Cersei damaged the skull of Balerion. Given how much history Balerion the Dread was a part of, it seemed so rude and unnecessary. Balerion, Vhagar, and Meraxes all helped Aegon and his sister-wives conquer the Seven Kingdoms. It just really pissed me off that they shot a huge crossbow bolt through Balerion's skull and I was reminded about it again during a rewatch and wanted to know how others may have felt about it.

The advantages of "hiding in plain sigh".

That famous phrase by Gus, saying him and Walter hide in "plain sigh". I've been wondering. What are the advantages of that?

In my opinion they are quite simple: you cannot make big mistakes, but you can make more small mistakes.

Simply put: people won't be suspicious if you make something wrong, because they think they know you. Both Walter and Gus made a few of them. However if you make something really wrong, it will be a lot harder to fix.

I've been backing up my blu-ray collection collection to watch on the go and to enjoy without disc swapping. But I hit a snag when I was rewatching and noticed there was quite a bit of spanish dialogue going on some time around season 3, I forgot just how much there was since i only got a few seasons in when I first got the pack. But now looking at what I already have ripped I feel a little annoyed I have to go back and re-do ones that need subs, blu-rays take forever.

Does anyone know which episodes exactly need subtitles on?

SPOILER: Rewatching S03E10 - How does he know?

I feel like an idiot!

I remember watching the scene with Gus and Hector where Hector collapses and wondering how Gus knew that Nacho had done something with the pills. I think it was pure excitement that made me miss a pretty obvious detail.

When Hector starts to collapse, after delivering one of the best lines in BCS history(DON ELADIO CAN SOCK ME), he attempts to take one of his pills and then throws the bottle away, spilling them in the process.

I just occurred to me that when the EMT asks Nacho is he had taken any medication, he hands her a bottle that is full of pills. This means that Nacho picked up the bottle and refilled it with the real pills he had swapped earlier. Since the EMT wasn't there, she just took the bottle with no questions. Of course since Gus was there, he saw the pills fly out of his hand, so why would Nacho be handing the EMT a full bottle of pills?

This is how he knows. I remember the discussion thread everyone was shocked at how Gus could possibly have known that Nacho had done something, but something so simple slipped past me that gives away how Gus figured it out.

Netflix should do a U.S. version of 'The Crown' following the presidencies of Franklin D. Roosevelt to Barack Obama.

Each season representing a President. Make the number of episodes as long or as short as they need to be each season.

Telling the story of America in the 20th Century and beyond through the eyes of these Presidents would be quite interesting I feel. The depression in the 30's, world war two, the cold war, civil rights, vietnam war, watergate, Kennedy assasinations, September 11th, election of first African American President are all the things they could cover on the show.

About 5 minutes ago I finished Breaking Bad, after a 4 day binge. On the night the series finale aired (I didn't have cable so I couldn't watch it) some asshole tweeted the following, I remember it almost word for word. "NO!!!! WHY DID WALT HAVE TO KILL JESSIE!!!! He was just a criminal all along, he didn't care about family!" So me, thinking I know something about the series finale put me off watching this amazing piece of art and story telling, and framed every conjecture pieced together from the opening scenes of S5.

Pete Holmes Show

So I went down a youtube rabbit hole and started watching clips from this talk show I never heard of before called the Pete Holmes Show. Holy crap I don't know what I was missing. Its too bad this show was cancelled because it had some absolutely hilarious interviews with comedians and some great sketches in it. Definitely worth checking out on youtube.

The broken glass theory.

If I'm not mistaken, Rick talks about the broken glass theory that people generally feel safe when the glass around them is in one piece. This has me thinking about the last episode and the seemingly pointless act of wasting loads and loads of bullets to shatter the glass at Negan's compound. I think that Rick is trying to instill fear into the saviors, showing them that their world is able to be shattered at any moment by a madman. Overall I would imagine that the strategy is to persuade as many of the sanctuary dwellers to turn on Negan so that he is not nearly as powerful.

Lack of consistency in Jesse's character?

I have started watching breaking bad for the first time recently and I'm in fourth season now. Amazing show, loving all the plot twists till now. But one thing that really bugs me is the total 360 turn of Jesse character..

While watching first season I thought Walt is the nerd guy who don't have street smarts while Jesse understands how to survive in their game. Like when he says how silly it is to meet Tuco at a junkyard. He is the one who suggests to kill Tuco when he realizes they are in danger. When Walter is unsure what to do with Krazy-8 he casually recommends, "if I were you, I would think that I'm doing him a favour" and gets frustrated when he is unable to kill him. But now in fourth season he is crying in every scene he is in because he had to kill Gale! I mean can't he understand why they had to do it? Like he didn't care at all when his former partner and probably childhood friend Emilio was murdered and dissolved in acid in the first season, but now he became complete emo about killing some unrelated drug dealer?

I know characters develop and transform from their origins but this feels like it came so sudden, like writers wanted to make Jesse more likeable, between the seasons. Are we supposed to think that Jane's death and subsequent rehab turned Jesse into a good person? Or is this "flanderisation"?

Random Though Popped Into My Mind

So Breaking Bad ended a few years ago at this point. Better Call Saul's season 3 finale aired a few months ago. This whole ABQ universe was far from my mind until today when a random scene popped into my mind. I hadn't thought about Breaking Bad for a long time but the thought was of a scene in Breaking Bad's 5th season. It was when Walt was getting arrested by Hank and in the meantime they show cuts of Jesse's face. As soon as the handcuffs click, you see Jesse have the biggest smile and sigh of relief. I don't know why I thought of that scene, but in the truly great moments that the show presented us in its run, I would say that this is the scene that gives me chills.

This random thought just reminded me that Breaking Bad is the greatest show that ever aired. A rewatch is desperately needed.

It just hit me the other day...

How much I liked season 3 of FTWD. It's to the degree where I actually look forward to the next season more than watching the next episode of TWD. Anyone else feel like this? I'm not sure why FTWD got so good(imo) with season 3, it just felt like they did so many things right.

I'm curious, why do people hate bottle episodes in general?

My favorite episodes of TV shows tend to be the hyper-focused ones, like Breaking Bad's Fly or, more recently, Stranger Things' The Lost Sister. And every time I go on reddit to check out fan reactions of episodes like these, people DESPISE them.

Why is this, exactly? Do people need a b-plot and a c-plot because they're a little ADD, perhaps? I don't see what's wrong with focusing an hour on one or two characters instead of bouncing back and forth from subplot to subplot, yet that seems to be what these kinds of hated episodes have in common.

Walker Stalker Con info for someone who's new to this all...

Last I saw the group recruited the junkyard people who double crossed them & that episode ended the with everybody standing tensely with weapons drawn.

Madison - most annoying character

Just created this Account to let of some steam. I have to say that ver the past few seasons madisons character was one of the most annoying in any TV show I've ever seen. I don't really get why she is still on the show. Hypocritical beyond measure (like demanding everything from her husband to help her drug addict son, yet completely ignoring his own problems after his son lost his mom) Getting shelter and food from the old Otto, just to backstab him, to cooperate with the same people who shot her husband (he was gonna die anyway, but still) and had no right whatsoever to claim the farm. Everything stupid and selfish she does, is supposedly for her beloved children, whom she lets just leave in to a apocalyptic world right at the first chance.

She is neither good nor bad, but still wants to be the highest moral instance around and lets everybody know. She lacks character depth, because let's face it - Kim dickens "one impression acting" isn't going to make the sad, sad story about her poor childhood seem realistic at all. Everything she is, or does is because of nick and alisha, so her death wouldn't have any effect at all because they could both generate new storylines on their own. To top that of, she kills troy, who is certainly twisted and crazy, but also the most interesting (just my opinion) character besides nick and could've delivered some interesting development (especially the relationship with nick, but also his changing views about Mexicans etc.)

I was honestly speechless, because troys death seemed so plain and like a total waste of the character. Its not so much that I liked him, although I think his motives were sometimes reasonable. Its much more that the show runners sacrificed a complex and interesting character for someone who is unnerving since season one.

Can anybody relate to this?

How the show found itself in my class.

I teach an Ethic and Religious Culture class in Quebec province, in a 8th grade class. One of the project was to create a poster for an educational or health institution that was created in the past by either Protestants or Catholics in Quebec. They had to put pictures of the buildings, the founder, and whatever else was interesting about the institution.

When I started correcting, the picture of James McGill showed up. I realized instantly why the he'll he was there. You see, McGill university in Montreal was one of the choice students could pick. The founder, James McGill, created it in the 19th century. When I asked how they got such a good picture of McGill, they didn't realize that someone from that era would only have paintings. They eventually clicked and I let them change the picture because it got me a good laugh!

The one thing I just can’t get over...

I’ve been a devoted fan of Breaking Bad since its premiere in 2008. I’m not sure I could tell you how many times I’ve rewatched the entire series....probably 5 or 6 times in full since the finale, and earlier seasons many more times to refresh before the next season. It’s without a doubt my favorite show of all time.

But I really, really, REALLY HATE how they all say “ATM Machine”. Over and over and over and fucking OVER AGAIN in those few episodes in season two. I’m not sure anything grates on my nerves more than “ATM Machine”. 😒😂

Is Michonne the love of Rick’s life?

I was thinking about this. Clearly, in my opinion, Lori is not the “love of his life”. If we put aside the opinion of “soulmates don’t exist” (which I feel like if I didn’t say this there’d be a bunch of comments about it).... do you think Rick and Michonne are each other’s (romantic) love of their life? Or do you think they’re just a fling? I personally think this ship is one of the most well-constructed long-game storylines I’ve ever seen. It makes perfect sense for Rick and Michonne to end up together. They’re best friends and have crazy chemistry. I just wonder if we’re supposed to believe they’re the real thing or if it has an expiration date (other than when one of them dies)

A few things I can’t believe Walt and Jesse got away with.

Jesse’s fingerprints were all over the gun Tuco used against Hank. If the DEA really wanted to be certain Jesse had anything to with Tuco (considering they already had found his car) they should’ve tested it for prints.
It’s a miracle Hank didn’t see Walt’s car at the junkyard when he followed Jesse to the RV.

Show and Comic SPOILERS - Discussion - Origins Series

Hi all,

I wondered what people's thoughts were on a origin series ?

I was thinking one episode per character focusing on twelve characters to make a series, basically a story of these twelve people's experiences at the start of the outbreak.

I know FEAR has already used this concept but personally I don't think it's been done very well. Also I'm fully aware they've done back story episodes on People like the Governor and Morgan and I think they're great so surely it would be a good idea for a stand alone ?

I was thinking Abraham origins would be a great episode and maybe a Tyreese origins, maybe even a Jesus origins ?

If Jessie never died would Rick have attacked Negan sooner?

Let say Jessie was not killed by walkers and she made it through. Rick and her end up forming a stronger relationship than the one he has with Michonne. Fast forward few months and the whole Negan thing happens.

Would Rick be less willing to challenge Negan if Jessie was alive or would that would have caused him to rebel sooner?

[EVERYTHING] A Behind The Scenes Story In Winterfell Of Alfie Allen's Run In With Charles Dance

Just to clarify, this is a true story. This story takes place during the filming of the first episode of GOT in Winterfell (Belfast, Ireland). While touring the set I asked the archery coach, who taught Bran (Isaac hempstead wright) in the first episode how and where to fire his arrows, if there were any interesting stories that occurred whilst filming. It so happened there was one.

During the scene in which Bran was firing arrows at the targets, he (the archery coach) was watching on to observe whether what Bran was doing was abreast with what the directors and choreographers wanted. All was going as planned and several takes of Bran firing the arrows were taken. Although some had to be reshot because of Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) was missing a stage direction or line during the scene. According to the archery coach, he was just being a dick and was making it hard for the others to play their part in the scene. Sean Bean (Ned Stark) was becoming agitated at his behavior and so was Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister), who happened to be looking on whilst they were filming.

The Directors, also frustrated with his attitude called for a break in filming in order for those acting in the scene to relax and try to forget that Aflie was acting like a dick. This is where it gets interesting. As the cast members began to walk away from the scene and have a break the archery coach walked up to the target and began to pick out the arrows so they could be used later. As he was about to clasp the arrow and pick it from the target Alfie fired one that nearly hit the archery coach's hand. Everyone was visibly shocked by what Alfie had done. Alfie began to laugh. Sean Bean was still on set and was outraged by what he'd done and wanted to have words with him. As he approached Alfie, Dance put a hand on his chest and looked him in dead in the eyes and in a very Tywin Lannister way said "No, I'll deal with him." Sean saw that Dance meant business and took a step back. Dance marched over to Alfie who was still giggling like a school girl and said, in a stern and direct manner "Walk with me, now!" Alfie new he'd screwed up and begrudgingly followed Dance to a part of the set that was away from the cast but still viewable by the archery coach. Dance's commanding and naturally intimidating nature came out. He pushed Alfie against a wall of the set and said to him simply and sternly, "There are good and bad decisions we make every day... Don't be a person that falls into a path bad decisions." Whilst looking him dead in the eye, and remaining amazingly intimidating.

Alfie hadn't much to say, and scurried away. Dance walked past, full knowing that he wouldn't dick about again. The next shot for the scene that was taken, according to the archery coach, was the one they kept for the actual episode.

I loved the tv show governor, more than Negan im afraid..

Mostly because of the actor. I believe David Morissey added great charm to the character.

To comic-book readers, was his governor true to the comics ? Or were they different beasts ?

Naturally , i cant stop myself from comparing him to Negan. Negan seems to have had a bigger impact on our characters, and with the number of people under his command, he seems to be a bigger boss than the governor. The way he moves his body all the damn time, and his speech pattern, same emphasis and tone on his deliveries over and over again as if he is singing... ı have no buff with What he wants to do with the character , it is just i feel like he is overdoing it. If he tones it down , like the way he did in his scenes with sasha in her cell, he can become quite menacing.

The governor imo was always menacing, i could never tell what the heck was going on his mind aside from the fact that it wasnt smt good. This may be the 100th vs thread in this forum, but im new around the community and wanted to share mine.

Hello, does any of you know an European websites that sells Skybound's comics related merchandise? The only things I can find on the most popular general websites are either show related or stupidly overpriced (10$? That'll be 14€+shipping). Supposed "Leaked" Video of MSF Death Debunked by TSDF

TSDF have announced that they believe the video to be a fake for multiple reasons.

It was released by a kid on Youtube who claimed that their "friend's dad" worked at AMC editing.
The video itself is so poor-quality that next to nothing could be made out other than a moon and possibly a knife. The audio only had one phrase that could be made out: "Back off." In a male voice.
After some detective work, TSDF realized the audio and video could be from previously recorded scenes. The audio and video were possibly spliced together and edited to make it seem more realistic.
The video is poor, but some of us believe we know what scene was being 'shown'. It is eerily similar to the scene in S2 of Rick killing Shane. This is believed because the moon is the same in the leaked video and the knife seems to be the knife Rick had on him.
The audio has an audible phrase. At first, it was believed that the audio came from the Carl-Ron fight scene in Alexandria. However, it is now believed the audio is from S5E1, during the scene between Tyreese and the Terminus man who threatens Judith. The, "Back off," comes from the Terminus man, and the other sounds seem to match up to the rest of the scene (minus Judith's crying).
Doesn't need to be mentioned, but whoever made the video made sure that it was as vague as possible. If they truly had the leak, they would try much harder to make the video clear, or at least viewable. Instead, they made it as abstract as possible.
As of right now, the video hasn't been taken down by AMC. Usually, a leaked video or audio clip is removed from Youtube soon after it's released.

TSDF have announced that they believe the "leak" is debunked. It may very well be real, but most signs point to it being fake.

I’m watching the 2006 series “Jericho” and I’ve come to a realization...

If the show had premiered during today’s time, it would be a smash hit. I have no doubt about that. It’s just such a great series, the acting can be cheesy at times but the plot and the characters are amazing, in my opinion. Does anyone else share this same sentiment? I’m dreading finishing the show due to no more episodes to watch.

There's chaos in the Sanctuary, the grounds are overrun and Negan is nowhere to be seen. How will his lieutenants and Eugene react if they think he's dead while he’s stuck in the trailer with Gabriel, even if were only for a few hours? Dwight and Eugene are afraid of Negan, but not loyal to him. Gavin follows the rules because he has to, but he doesn’t like them. Regina is a wildcard. Simon’s reaction would be interesting to see, because I don't really know if his relationship with Negan is just business or if there's actual friendship there. Would he be pissed about Negan's death or would he enjoy taking power for himself? Either way, he's got to be relieved that he doesn't have to answer to Negan for Hilltop’s defection, because that was going to be one very awkward conversation.

[EVERYTHING]What do you guys feel are the most outlandish and ridiculous fan theories that have actually gained some traction?

Theories like Bran being the Night King, while a bit hard to swallow, are things that I feel are actually plausible within the universe. I could see something like that working.

But then you get the theories like Jaqen H'Ghar being Syrio, or Syrio being part of the Faceless Men and that he was trying to recruit Arya from the very beginning, which I just can't believe would gain any sort of credence at all. The only thing that would have probed interest in Arya would have been that she was a Stark - she was a 10 (either 11 or 9 years old, depending on if you're going with the show or the books, so we'll just settle on 10) year old troublemaker with no noticeable skills or talents that would lead anyone to believe that she could actually train and be destined to be part of one of the most prestigious Assassin's Guilds within this universe.

I've also seen a few people talking about Tyrion actually being a Targaryen, which I also think is ludicrous. Him not being a Lannister is something that I could actually be okay with (For those that aren't familiar, the theory is that Joanna was actually knocked up by someone else, and that's why Tywin hates him so much. Not only is he a dwarf that caused Joanna's death, but that he's a bastard from another man), but I've seen people wanting him to be a Targaryen which I think is just silly. This theory would have been more believable if Jon hadn't turned out to be a Targaryen, but having Tyrion also be a Targaryen would just seem unrealistic.

What about you guys? Let me clarify, this isn't just wacky fan theories that people make up. I'm talking about fan theories that are very unbelievable, but seem to have gained a lot of attention/support.

Season 3 gus' plan

In season 3 gus' plan is to eliminate the Mexican cartel to corner the meth market north of the border because he doesn't need the mexicans anymore. So he turns the cartel onto Hank and he just hopes Hank kills both of them? How could he have known or expected the outcome of the shootout and who would win? This is kind of a big plothole because if the 2 cousins kill Hank (which would have probably been the most probable outcome) then the cartel would just hide from the DEA in Mexico and Gus would have a problem.

Question about what Efrain meant (Episode 8 spoilers)

I'm only on episode 11, but Efrain is such an interesting character to me so far. This question might seem a little dumb and specific, but in his first episode when he nursed Daniel back to health, before he falls asleep, he tells Daniel "I have good news and bad news," (calling back to when they first met), "the good news is there's no one left in this world to judge you..." and then he passes out.

What was the rest of that sentence going to be? Since we never heard it, I assumed that the writers intended "no one left in the world to judge you" to be the good news and the bad news, kind of like a double-edged sword? But if anyone knows a legit answer, I'd love to hear it.

And speaking of unfinished sentences, what was Otto going to say before Nick shot him? "The reason I like [Madison] so much is that she's just like-"

This one is probably a bit easier, I think the last word there was "me". But a lingering thought came over me, that maybe she was like his second wife?

[EVERYTHING] Why do people hate Sansa?

Ok. I get what they say. They say she is a pathetic little girl and does not do much. But in all fairness what are they expecting her to do? What does she have? Yes if you compare her yo Dany, Cersei, Catelyn, Brienne, Arya, Olenna, and Sand Snakes she seems like just a hopeless girl. But first of all hopeless girls do exist and are much more than warrior princesses, second anyone in her position won't do much.

Let's just look at Dany, sure she was "Sold" to Drogo, but boom a big FIRE and then she has three dragons, and even had a little band of warriors, Dothraki and Jorah, and some money I suppose, she also had her freedom. Cersei had her brother a kingsguard, her house the real power, and even then she failed in a thing or two. Catelyn had the support of House Tully, Stark, and even Arryn in sense. Brienne and Arya again have their freedom, were trained from a young age to kill, and then Brienne is given a Valyrian steel sword Arya trained to be a faceless man. And so on with others. A combination of both luck, or fortunes, and their ability is what got them what they have, like Machiavelli says.

But what does Sansa have or can do? Even if she had the abilities of Arthur Dayne could she just kill them all? Even if she is Olenna or Baelish could she have manipulated the entire court and freed herself? What would you or I do in her situation? Why do we want her to be a warrior/queen/politician/manipulator/all around jack of all trades?

Just remember that she is a hostage and has no family, yes in the show it's a bit different but still, and has no gold, no friends, no allies, no men sworn to her service, no spies, no power what so ever. So Why do we want her to kill the kingsguard and everyone in the redkeep, hit the road to the Twins killing house Frey then go to the North and take it without breaking a sweat.

The closest to her story is that she is like Baelish or Varys but with a powerful name. Sure it looks like she is a stupid week female characters, but in all fairness that is the most realistic and it's because GRRM ruined us with great strong female characters but the books/show are not about what we want or like or about a statement, to a degree I suppose, or just making sure all women are strong and powerful and men evil or the other way around. Just look at how much suffering people, men and women, get in the story and you might just start to feel sorry for Sansa and what she goes through and understand that she was put into a difficult situation which she cannot control. Lastly I think she would grow and take more control of her life. But she is still young and needs to to learn so much.

[Everything] Jon Snow Discussion

Does anyone else feel like Jon Snow is by far the worst written main character in terms of character development and growth?

In the beginning of the show he was basically Ned Stark lite, but kind of a child so impulsive and a bit naive(maybe impulsivity has to do with Targaryen blood?). Since then the character has gone through so much... Joining the nights watch,becoming lord commander, then dying, only to be brought back to become king in the north and lead the fight against the white walkers... But how has he grown or developed?

Sansa,Arya,Jaime,Tyrion,Cersei and even Daenarys have grown through their journey. But Jon is still impulsive ned stark lite... In the Battle of the Bastard's, Ramsay plays Jon with the whole rickon thing, and Jon being an impulsive idiot falls for it, and puts the whole army at risk despite Sansa's warning. Also the whole actually I swore fealty to denarys already... He continues to show his stupidity. And the thing is all the other characters who have had an honorable shtick and especially those that were also impulsive ie; Robb, all ended up dead permanently, yet somehow Jon snow is still here not really paying for his mistakes.

I would love to have my mind changed.

Edit: I don't think Jon snow is a poorly written character overall... Just that his growth/evolution is severely lacking

[TV] Music from S6E10 vs S7E7

Until I watched season 7, I found "Light of the Seven" (from The Winds of Winter S6E10, Cersei's conquering, if you will) to be not only my favorite, but one of the best composed pieces in the entire series. It's powerful, emotional, blends perfectly with an enhances the scenes it plays against on screen, etc...........

but then the last 2 minutes of S7E7, The Dragon and the Wolf, where Jaime's riding north and the world is darker, and snow falls, and "Winter is Here" plays.... that piece, while nowhere near as entertaining to listen to as LotS, was, for me, so much more heart-wrenchingly powerful.... and tbh, depressing.

Watching that scene I felt, even though Jaime's epiphany, and his departure for (presumably) Winterfell should be uplifting, that the music robbed me of any hope for Jon and Dany to defeat the NK.... it felt like the journey was over or that it was filled not with hope anymore, but despair..... Damn you, Djawadi for being so good........

[EVERYTHING] Bronn has been beyond the wall?

Another rewatch realization from S1E09, the scene with Shae, Bronn and Tyrion playing that drinking game.

So Bronn claims to have gone beyond the wall because of "work"? Is this possible that he could've been part of the nights watch and deserted? I don't see any other reason for him to have gone beyond the wall, what other reasons do you think could have brought him beyond the wall? I guess one can argue that it's possible he could've been smuggling weapons/supplies to the wildings but he's not into that kinda "work"... I'm not really invested into the books, maybe you readers have some more insight.

Some characters I feel connected with and other characters I feel like they would never actually exist in the real world, and are heavily dramatized to the point where I laugh. Plus awkward character moments.

I have been watching the show from the very beginning, and I know that some people might just watch this show for the zombies or the action. But, the biggest reason I watch this show is for the characters, their back stories, their relationships, the issues of humanity that come up in a world collapsing. When that is mixed in well and evenly with the dire predicaments of their situation, then that is when it really comes to life. Other people might feel differently but this is all just my opinion and I would love to hear about yours.

So, first off, I know that it just a TV show and not meant to be about the "Real world". But I like to imagine it in the context of, what if this happened to me, what if it happened in my own world. Would this actually happen. Do I believe that this is the way things would unfold.

I feel the character that I have connected with the most is Dwight, as strange as this might sound... considering some people really hate Dwight and the he has lately gotten barely any screen time. And we have definitely seen some profound and amazing characters. But with Dwight, I just personally connected with his story and related to the most because I felt that I could actually be him if the end of the world as i knew it happened, or I could be Sherry, or just somehow, in their world that created them and their relationship.

When he first came into the show I just felt it like I hadn't with any other character. I empathized with him, I understood him, I felt like his background story was believable and real and the most heart wrenching because of that stark realness. Him and Sherry- I felt like if I were in this scenario, I could be them, or they could be other people I know in my life, other couples I know, just trying to survive, losing each other in the process, losing that old love they had before things got really bad. When I first saw them running away from Negan before Dwight got burned, I was like, yeah, I would run like hell with my SO. And I would do whatever it takes to survive and to help him survive. And when you see what happened to them after they ran and decided to come back... It's like, holy shit.

The letter Sherry wrote was so real and genuine and I thought, yes that is probably exactly what I would write in this situation. The beer and pretzels part and the description of their imperfect relationship and Dwight's quirks and Sherry's mistakes just made me feel like I could relate even more. I felt her character and his so much because I feel they weren't given that fog that is placed over other characters on the show that make me say, yes this is great character development and very dramatic, but I would never believe this could really happen and I am not personally connecting with any of this.

Michonne for example, amazing character and so dramatic, but they introduced her as if she was some Supernatural force from the shadows. I see Michonne as unbreakable at this point and for that reason I never related to her or felt like I could envision this happening in the real world or to someone I know. I never worry about Michonne even in the worst predicaments. Of course in the comics it is a bit different after (spoiler).... after we see her brutal and long rape and torture by the governor.

But other characters I do worry about because of their realness and genuine, believable character development that makes me feel like they could be people I know in real life or me. If that makes sense... which it probably does not haha.

I also feel like the characters from the beginning of the show felt like real people, were more believable. Now in the show, some characters I look at and can't help but think, wow you are ridiculous and not believable at all.... and please tell me where you got that tiger from because I do not know one single person that would not shit their pants at the sight of a tiger. Or why do you live in a garbage dump and talk like this. It has not even been a decade since the walkers took over, so there is no reason why your language should be different from everyone else's. Or at least, explain why so the viewers understand.

Another thing that makes me super uncomfortable is all the points in the show when the characters are smiling at inappropriate moments and it seems like the producers are trying to make it a profound, meaningful moment when in reality, there is no time to randomly be stating these profound things about each other and be awkwardly smiling and making dramatic statements that make me cringe... It is time to face the real threats at hand. Not every moment has to be a statement about the dynamic of the group or where we are headed in the future. Like when Rick says to Maggie, I'll be following you after this... Cringey and it is not yet the time.... If you read the comics you know what happens with her, and so it felt too soon to introduce Maggy's story arc of when she turns into a leader like Rick-we have barely seen her as a leader so far and we need more time to watch it unfold before you spring stuff like that on us. I need to see her deal with Glenn's death more, with her pregnancy, and then grow from that before I would believe that she would be as big of a leader as Rick.
