Imagine if AMC created an anthology spin-off series in the Walking Dead universe in a different cities, or with a different groups each season. There would be enough familiarity to the rules of TWD Universe, but always fresh with new characters, new timelines, and new settings season to season.
Some storylines or characters could cross over into other seasons in minor or major ways but won't be focal characters outside of their respective season.
