So the theory that I've heard and like about Tyrion's character in Season 8 is that he ends up betraying Daenerys and going all dark and twisty. It would actually give Peter Dinklage something to work with rather than just being the funny dwarf sidekick.
What if the following happens, Bran finally remembers that Jaime pushed him out the window and Jaime isn't greeted at Winterfell with flowers but rather ends up being imprisoned for it. Tyrion chooses his family over Daenerys and saves his brother (like a reverse of Jaime saving him in Season 4). I just think that that would be more interesting for Tyrion than the other theory I heard about the Tyrion betrayal - that Tyrion is somehow in love with Daenerys and turns on her in a fit of jealous rage. The Dany man harem is tiresome.
