The reaction everyone has to the journalist wanting their stories is overly melodramatic. They should handle that differently.

Everyone is far too apprehensive and resistant to Althea wanting to know about their pasts and it's getting tiring. Let's look at the proposition she gave our heroes in this past episode and their reactions. So, Althea is willing to fully cooperate with the gang and tell them exactly where she found the flag, how she came to possess it, and lead them there and all she asks in return is for the group to sit on camera and explain some of the things they've been through, and their response is to dramatically pause and stare at her and then state that they'll "think about it." WTF?!?!?!?! Does no one else recognize how ridiculous this is? I mean, it's such a simple request and so easy to fulfill, why the hell are the writers making something so simple so damn dramatic????

I mean I understand that some people are private and would prefer to not talk about traumatizing shit. But I mean come on, I think the majority of people would leap at the opportunity to document and share what they've experienced along the way. I understand that this is very much a nitpick, but we've had this play out the same way multiple times already, and I'm getting tired of how unrealistic it always is. We also know we'll be getting a lot more of these unnecessarily dramatic interactions since Althea is clearly becoming a regular.

This is how it happens everytime:

Althea: What's your story, what happened to you?

Gimple: Stares into space

Althea: I'm a journalist, we need to capture the truth while we still can, eventually the truth..... these stories that have made us who we are...... they'll be all that's left.....

Gimple: Stares into space

Althea: I'll give you a ride, shelter, 6 guns, ammo, a small helicopter, food and water, and a handjob if you just quickly tell me your story. Hell, you can even lie, it's not like I'd have any clue since we just fucking met.

Gimple: Cries I'll think about it....... Turns and runs away on foot Falls

I feel like it's close to causing me physical pain at this point. Instead of everyone being so dramatic, they should be shocked that she's willing to do so much for them for a simple story. That would still give her the platform to voice why she's so passionate about the stories and why exactly she believes them to be important for the rest of us. This would also be way more realistic and less eye roll inducing.
