The Wire was one of the shows that came and went during a time where my television viewing time was incredibly limited. I had always intended to watch it, but the years just kept passing with so many new shows taking my time. With the main TV season coming to a slowdown for the summer, I was considering giving it a shot.
I was concerned that maybe it might feel a little dated and not as good as when it originally aired (current events not being current, for example).
Is it still worth the time investment?
