A lot of people like to criticize The Battle of the Bastards regarding Rickon's death. I just want to make something clear that I think will make a lot more sense than just "stupid writing". I think it was pretty clear that it didn't matter what Rickon did as he ran because Ramsay wasn't aiming for him. He purposely missed just so Rickon could get right to Jon and then he shot where Jon's hand was reaching. So it didn't matter how much he zig zagged across that field, Ramsay would just shoot where Jon reached out his hand because obviously Ramsay is smart enough to do that.
