In season 5 episode 1, when gene is talking to the vaccum guy, he sees someone to his left and hangs up the phone and walks out of focus. When the episode begins, we see a similar out of focus shot and Kim comes into view, could that mean Gene saw Kim and that's what made him change his mind?
