I’ve got a little theory of what I can see going down with Negan’s character...
The first bonus episode airing (10x17 “Home Sweet Home”) seems to be centred around Maggie’s return. I think there’ll definitely be a confrontation between Maggie and Negan and he will see Glenn’s kid and realize that he really can’t stick around.
The other bonus episodes will focus on other stories as they already announced (one about Eugene’s group, one on Aaron and Gabriel, etc)
Now the final episode , the season 10 finale, is titled “Here’s Negan”. The synopsis says something along the lines of Carol taking Negan away from Alexandria when tension rises. There will obviously be flashbacks of some sort to Negan’s late wife, Lucille.
What I really picture is Negan and Carol having a heart to heart and he says something like “I can’t go back Carol, I killed that kid’s father” as he gets teary eyed. It will be followed by Carol returning to Alexandria without Negan.
As much as I love JDM’s portrayal of Negan, I cant picture him sticking around , at least not for the main storyline in season 11. Maybe the show will make a whole different arc for him, but at this point in the comics, Negan’s story is finished.
What do you guys think will happen to him?
