Honestly, the Governor's arc is SO GOOD. Looking back, people might have been upset that we weren't focused on the main cast, but this is amazing storytelling. What an absolute treat it has been, following another group. The governor, who is obviously a flawed human being, is trying to do right. we all know it is going to come to a head and it's just actually really refreshing watching his actions and who he 'wants to be' compared to who he actually is.
A+ I love it.
