To be totally blunt and cold, the hate I'm seeing towards Maggie is just glaring proof that many TWD viewers aren't comprehending this show very well. That's just my take. I get that many of us, myself included, have grown to be quite fond of Negan. That doesn't mean he didn't horrifically murder Maggie's husband and the father to her unborn child right in front of her eyes. Yes, Rick and co. killed some of Negan's people. They did not make a theatrical production out of it, though. Negan relished every moment of that shit, he tortured Rick's group not just when he killed Glenn and Abraham but for months if not years after. Expecting Maggie to magically drop the issue and just forgive him is insane and unfair.
I'm not just seeing this sentiment in this sub but on other places as well, especially FB and YouTube. I can handle someone just disliking her and having a different opinion, that's one thing, but this whole trend of loathing Maggie just because she's mean to dear old Negan blows my mind.
Her character was written into a corner seasons ago when she and Glenn both pretty much only cared about each other. People complained about that. Then after Glenn died and she took on a more active role, people complained about that too. Like ???? it doesn't make sense, this is the only character I have seen mass amounts of people be so unreasonable towards and I can only assume it's sexism tbh.
