Why would Sansa keep the Vale army she had at her disposal a secret?
At Castle Black she tries to convince Jon to take up arms against Ramsay by saying: "A monster has taken our home and our brother!"
Then later in the season instead of letting Jon know they actually have a bigger army than Ramsay's (who wants to fight them in the field for some unknown reason), which would allow them to negotiate with him and likely save Rickon(the actual lord of Winterfell), she just keeps it a secret.
Even when Jon straight up asks Sansa how are they gonna save Rickon, she just tells him that Rickon's as good as dead.
